What is death? Is it the absence of life?

Hi David

This thread is not about the Baha'i faith.
I explained that I am not Christian, but Baha'i, in order to give our readers with transparency the framework from which I share my personal opinion on the topic in question in this thread.
The topic in question in this thread is not the Baha'i Faith, but death.
Our @Administrator has open a thread where information about this religion can be shared.
I invite you to keep focused on what we are discussing.

The Baha’i Faith

Explore the Baha’i teachings with others in a respectful, uplifting environment that is open to all regardless of background or beliefs and that welcomes all perspectives.

Right on. What is death?
I've already posted my detailed response on What is death? Bottom line is that you are not going to change my faith in the physical resurrected Yeshua Hamashiach for my sins.
The true manifestations and revelation of Adonai/God is contained in His Word the Tanakh and the B'rit Hadashah. Any ideas or thoughts on that subject outside of Hashem's infallable Word is a false religion and/or cult. Besides it is blasphemy and dishonorable to Adonai/God. Because you are worshipping something less than the true God Adonai.
Shabbat Shalom

There are a lot of ways to answer that question.

The author of Ecclesiastes makes this declaration: “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die”.
Ecclesiastes 3:1–2

Likewise the author of Hebrews says, “It is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment”.
Hebrews 9:27
Well said...Amen

The Baha'i Faith is a cult

Discussion

It's very clear that the Baha'i Faith is a cult, and I think it is pertinent that people start observing it as one. The entire goal of the Baha'i Faith is to get converts to funnel more money into the "Fund"-- and I would not be surprised to find that they are misappropriating these funds. They do not do any community service, but have completely brainwashed their followers into believing that the only way to fix the problems in the world is by converting people. Why? So they can put more money into their precious "Fund."
I actually learned recently that the Baha'i Fund used to pay for Baha'u'llah's families living expenses and nothing more. For someone who is so opposed to giving money beggars because they are should be working or some crap, Baha'u'llah sure seemed like a beggar himself.
Honestly, I think the Baha'i Faith is on par with Scientology or Hare Krishna-- their just so little-known that they can easily slide under the cult radar for people.
If you are an ex-Baha'i and comfortable sharing your story, I implore you to do so. This cult needs to be seen for what it is: a well-oiled brainwashing machine.
Shabbat Shalom

Your posting in the wrong tread. You need to post here:

No worries! I find myself pondering how Paul would have approached the situation, considering his unique style and manner of communication.

I mean, the man admits he is not a Christian-right?

According to this post I'm not either.:ROFLMAO:

This is why we need to stick to one topic per thread so things don't get confusing.

Your not a Christian? So what are you?
Shabbat Shalom
Dear brother David

Christians differ in their views in many things, including the state of the dead and even in topics like resurrection.
That doesn't mean that those who are "right" are Christians while those who are "wrong" are not.

Let me give you these examples:

  • Those who believe that dead people are unconcious, are bound to repent and be born again and live loving God and loving their neighbors as Christ wants us to live.
  • Those who believe that dead people are concious, are bound to repent and be born again and live loving God and loving their neighbors as Christ wants us to live.

  • Those who believe that dead people will come to life in physical bodies at resurrection are bound to repent and be born again and live loving God and loving their neighbors as Christ wants us to live.
  • Those who do not believe in physical bodies at resurrection are also bound to repent and be born again and live loving God and loving their neighbors as Christ wants us to live.

  • Those who believe that wicked men will burn in hell for ever are bound to repent and be born again and live loving God and loving their neighbors as Christ wants us to live.
  • Those who believe that wicked men will be annihilated and cease to exist are bound to repent and be born again and live loving God and loving their neighbors as Christ wants us to live.
  • Those who believe that wicked men will be eventually persuaded to repent and be saved are bound to repent and be born again and live loving God and loving their neighbors as Christ wants us to live.

It is confusing already, having someone who openly admits he is not a Christian and the resurrection somehow vague in the OT. You seem to agree with his opinion of the resurrection of Messiah.
So what have we? Someone claiming not to be a Christian and a weird idea of the resurrection of Christ Jesus.

But, he is under your wing.

You and Christians are not arbitrators of truth. In fact, no one in humanity are arbitrators of truth. Adonai is the total arbitrator of truth,
I asked a simple yes or no question.

Looks like we have Universalism here.
