The question is not if Jesus is God.

The real question (not being asked) really seems to be..

Why?

Why is He God?

We already know the Father being God.

And, for those who know. We have the Holy Spirit being God.

Why is Jesus God?

..........

Only God is the Savior of mankind. And we know Jesus is the Savior of the world. God ( YHWH )said there is no Savior besides Him and that He would not give His Glory to another. Yet we know Jesus shares the exact same glory as the Father. And the N.T. says He is the Only Savior, the Only Lord. So He is God our Savior as both Peter and John declare in Titus 2:13 and 2 Peter 1:1.

hope this helps !!!

..........
Jesus is God because he is the image of the invisible God (Colossians 1:15) and the radiance of God's glory and the exact image of His nature (Hebrews 1:3). The Holy Spirit is God because the fruits of the Spirit are all aspects of God's nature. So if the Father were to take all of the aspects of His nature that His word was given to teach us how to embody and were to personify them, then that would be the Son (John 1:14). No one can see the Father, but the Son is who we see when we look at the Father. In other words, we can't see righteousness, but Jesus is righteousness in a human form that we can see. The problem with idolatry is that it misrepresents the nature of God, so if Jesus were anything less than the exact image of God's nature, then worshiping him as God would have been idolatry. The way for us to worship the nature of God is by seeking through faith to embody it through following His instructions for how to do that in His law in accordance with following Christ's example.

Excellent way to show passages that say He is God.

But, my question was WHY?
Why is Jesus also God?

The answer I found was given to me years ago by a Pastor Ralph G. Braun.

He explained that in John 1:18 -

"No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God
and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known."

That the words we read as "has made him known." Takes on a specific meaning as written in the Greek.

Pastor Braun explained to me that the function of Jesus in making God known to men?"
Is the same Greek word commanded of pastors to exegete the Word of God.
To "interpret" what man alone can not understand on his own.
To exegete foreign languages that we have no clue about as to what they are saying.

Like wise, Jesus being both fully human. He fully understands the limited comprehension capacity for man.
He , also being God, can take what is totally foreign to a man? And, knowing both man and God?
Interpret God in a manner men will relate to.

In a sense Jesus is bilingual.
For men's perception he makes what is to be known about God knowable to us in "human-speak."

He is our Eternal Divine Travel Guide for our venturing into our new Home of the world of God.

That is WHY He is God.
Not simply that He is God.
