The Myth of saying that God Loved all men in the world without exception !

Romans 9:13

13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

How can it be sincerely taught that scripture teaches that God loves all men without exception, when it specifically says of Esau, God Hated ?

And I got news for you, He did not only hate Esau, but all the workers of iniquity. Ps 5:5

5The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

And they that work iniquity shall soon hear these words Matt 7:23

23
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Yes, these and those in Ps 5:5 are the very same !

I don't have the verses at hand, but what I had noticed is that God only loves those who follow and accept the Father and Son. Some people will respond with John 3:16-17. However, the emphasis there is not clearly to the people specifically. Instead, the use of world (cosmos) more often refers to the world system (used 73 times) or, similarly (I think), to creation (59 times). The use of cosmos to refer to people of the world is 38 times. These are based on Logos software's Bible Word Study feature. The idea then is that Christ's death and resurrection was needed to save the creation that God originally said was good. Maybe a more conventional sense is that the emphasis still is upon the world system but that this includes the generality of population rather than all people inclusively.

That God hates sin should come as a surprise to no one.

The reality that "I am not that bad" is not good enough to lift yourself into heaven is a message that some need to hear [que up Ray Steadman, the 10 Commandments and the Sermon on the Mount].

That God can LOVE any of us anyway ... that is a fact harder to comprehend and a message more worthy of focusing on [imho].

1 John 4:7-21 [NLT]
7 Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. 8 But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
9 God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. 10 This is real love--not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
11 Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. 12 No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.
13 And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us. 14 Furthermore, we have seen with our own eyes and now testify that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God. 16 We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. 17 And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.
18 Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. 19 We love each other because he loved us first.
20 If someone says, "I love God," but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don't love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see? 21 And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their fellow believers.

Care to name all those "other workers" of "iniquity"? You named Esau.

Either way,

God loves Esau. Notice the word "hated". Past tense. Did you know that Esau changed?

You should stop and consider the English language. We use words to relate timing. There is always a time in most every person's life where they are at odds with God. You're there right now yourself.

In the context of your OP. How do you know that God hates you?

Ummm ... did you actually READ Malachi where Paul was quoting from and God explains his "hated" for Esau?

Malachi 1:3-4 [NASB]
but I have hated Esau, and I have made his mountains a desolation and given his inheritance to the jackals of the wilderness." Though Edom says, "We have been beaten down, but we will return and build up the ruins"; this is what the LORD of armies says: "They may build, but I will tear down; and people will call them the territory of wickedness, and the people with whom the LORD is indignant forever."
  • I have hated Esau
  • made his mountains a desolation
  • given his inheritance to the jackals
  • [LORD says] "They may build, but I will tear down"
  • people will call them
    • the territory of wickedness
    • the people with whom the LORD is indignant forever

And what did Jeremiah say ...

Jeremiah 49:7-22 [NASB]
7 Concerning Edom. This is what the LORD of armies says: "Is there no longer [any] wisdom in Teman? Has [good] advice been lost by the prudent? Has their wisdom decayed? 8 "Flee away, turn back, dwell in the depths, You inhabitants of Dedan, For I will bring the disaster of Esau upon him At the time I punish him. 9 "If grape pickers came to you, Would they not leave gleanings? If thieves [came] by night, They would destroy [only] what was sufficient for them. 10 "But I have stripped Esau bare, I have uncovered his hiding places So that he will not be able to conceal himself; His offspring have been destroyed along with his brothers And his neighbors, and he no [longer] exists. 11 "Leave your orphans behind, I will keep [them] alive; And let your widows trust in Me."
12 For this is what the LORD says: "Behold, those who were not sentenced to drink the cup will certainly drink [it,] so are you the one who will be held completely blameless? You will not be held blameless, but you will certainly drink [it.] 13 "For I have sworn by Myself," declares the LORD, "that Bozrah will become an object of horror, a disgrace, a wasteland, and a curse; and all its cities will become permanent ruins."
14 I have heard a message from the LORD, And a messenger is being sent among the nations, [saying,] "Gather yourselves together and come against her, And rise up for battle!" 15 "For behold, I have made you small among the nations, Despised among people. 16 "As for the terror you cause, The arrogance of your heart has deceived you, You who live in the clefts of the rock, Who occupy the height of the hill. Though you make your nest as high as an eagle's, I will bring you down from there," declares the LORD.
17 "Edom will become an object of horror; everyone who passes by it will be appalled and will hiss at all its wounds. 18 "Like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah with its neighbors," says the LORD, "no one will live there, nor will anyone of mankind reside in it. 19 "Behold, one will come up like a lion from the thicket of the Jordan to a perennially watered pasture; for in an instant I will chase him away from it, and I will appoint over it whoever is chosen. For who is like Me, and who will summon Me [into court?] And who then is the shepherd who can stand against Me?"

20 Therefore hear the plan of the LORD which He has planned against Edom, and His purposes which He has in mind against the inhabitants of Teman: they will certainly drag them off, [even] the little ones of the flock; He will certainly make their pasture desolate because of them. 21 The earth has quaked at the noise of their downfall. There is an outcry! The noise of it has been heard at the Red Sea. 22 Behold, He will mount up and swoop like an eagle, and spread out His wings against Bozrah; and the hearts of the warriors of Edom on that day will be like the heart of a woman in labor.

  • [LORD says]
    • I will bring the disaster of Esau upon him At the time I punish him

  • "Like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah with its neighbors, no one will live there"

And then there is Hebrews ...

Hebrews 12:16-17 [NASB]
16 that there be no sexually immoral or godless person like Esau, who sold his own birthright for a single meal. 17 For you know that even afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought for it with tears.

Wow. You really hate Esau. Do you know Esau?

Jacob loved Esau. Esau loved Jacob.

Gen 33:4 And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept.

The animosity that existed between Esau and Jacob died that day. Seems odd to me that you would hate someone like Esau. Esau didn't do anything to you.

Who are you to judge between two brothers? You have no such right.

All the verses you're reference are an appeal to not be like Esau...... WAS.......

Esau changed. ESAU didn't remain the way He was. Are you denying this?

This silly little game you Calvinist have is very sad and destructive. You point to the past sins of people while ignoring your own.

ImCo:
Jacob and Esau lived lives that are types for the two kinds of sinners born into this world...

Berean Standard Bible
JN 3:18 Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not [never] believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

Jacob is the believer who is caught in sin but who is not condemned as he is under the election promise of salvation from the consequences for his sinfulness while

Esau is a never believer who is condemned for his sin by his repudiation of faith in Christ.

Why do they live together? Because Judah had to learn that he [believers who are sinners] must leave even his beloved brother [non-believing sinners] behind, become separate from him and to come away from his anti-Christ idolatry:
Berean Standard Bible
2 Cor 6;17 “Therefore come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.”

Seems typical of Calvinism. Calvinism loves to judge between sinners.

Did Esau show change in Genesis 33:4. Esau blessed Jacob. Right?
