No person can come to Christ by their own freewill !

Spiritual life precedes spiritual believing
Let's see.

John 20:31 (KJV 1900) — 31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

Sorry but it is by believing you might have life, and believing precedes that life.

Life comes before believing, and believing is the evidence you have life. A person can be regenerated, have life, and dont know it. Then when in the providence of God, they are brought under the preaching of the Gospel, and believe, they have evidence or assurance of having eternal life

A person can have free will "Then when in the providence of God, they are brought under the preaching of the Gospel, and believe, they have evidence or assurance of having eternal life"

It is the preaching of the Gospel and the hear. Rom 10:7 So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

It happened that way with Cornelius, he was a regenerated man, feared God, but he lacked Gospel knowledge and Peter was sent to him to preach the Gospel so they could hear and believe Acts 15 7

And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

It is funny how you imagine one can first be saved so he can learn the gospel on how to be saved.

Spiritual life precedes spiritual believing, otherwise man is dead, no spiritual life to hear spiritually and believe spiritually

Not if you believe scripture

John 20:31 (KJV 1900) — 31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

Sorry but it is by believing you might have life, and believing precedes that life.

You have redefined terms and are, as a result, ignoring what scripture states.

This is a poor way to handle scripture.

Cornelius was saved, a regenerated God fearing man b4 he heard the Gospel. One who fears God is saved job 1:1

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.

Cornelius was saved like Job, a just man and feared God Acts 10 22

22 And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.

Life precedes activity, believing on Christ is an action, and its given by God Phil 1:29

This is still a very poor way to handle scripture.

Found nowhere in scripture

Salvation in the New Covenant is by faith in Christ

Acts 11:14 (NASB95) — 14 and he will speak words to you by which you will be saved, you and all your household.’

Cornelius was yet to be saved

Acts 11:17 (NASB95) — 17 “Therefore if God gave to them the same gift as He gave to us also after believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could stand in God’s way?”

Paul was asking Philemon for the favor of keeping Onesimus, who was Philemon's slave, that he might minister to him in his imprisonment. Paul knew he could order Philemon to allow his slave to stay with Paul, but instead he said: "but without your consent I did not want to do anything, so that your goodness would not be, in effect, by compulsion but of your own free will.
We know that Paul imitated Christ and here we see him allowing Philemon to exercise his "own free will" (Philemon 14), "for love's sake"(Philemon 9).
So we see here that Paul plainly states that Philemon, and of course all of us, have our own free will.

One of many verses that are not on your side.

So coming to Christ, believing in Him is impossible unless its given to a man, which corresponds to being drawn by the Father, this confirms the understanding that Faith to believe in Christ for Salvation is the Gift of God Eph 2:8 , its through and by powerful grace, and not by the ability of mans freewill.12

Life precedes activity of life, b4 life man is dead
And he must believe that he is made alive

John 5:24 (LEB) — 24 Truly, truly I say to you that the one who hears my word and who believes the one who sent me has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.

John 20:31 (LEB) — 31 but these things are recorded in order that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

John 7:38–39 (LEB) — 38 the one who believes in me. Just as the scripture said, ‘Out of his belly will flow rivers of living water.’ ” 39 (Now he said this concerning the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were about to receive. For the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus had not yet been glorified.)

Wrong again

As in the New covenant

John 12:32 (KJV 1900) — 32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

Romans 10:6–10 (KJV 1900) — 6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) 7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) 8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

As for Eph 2:8

Ephesians 2:8–9 (KJV 1900) — 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

It is still through faith you are saved.

So faith logically precedes salvation.
