No Other Doctrine But...

'God, who at sundry times and in divers manners
spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son,
Whom He hath appointed heir of all things,
by Whom also He made the worlds;'

(Heb 1:1-2)

Hello @Behold,

It is wonderful that we have God's word written. That God has 'spoken' to us at all is wonderful in itself, isn't it?

Moses, who wrote the first five books, and the other writers used by God to transmit His words to us, could not know what a wonderful part they have played in the will and purpose of God.

In Psalm 19:1, we are told that 'the heavens declare the glory of God: and the firmament sheweth His handywork', and Psalm 97:6 says, 'The heavens declare His righteousness, and all the people see His glory.'

Yes, there is a story without words in the heavens, one that early man would have known and understood, in the witness of the stars. In his book with that name, 'The Witness of The Stars', Dr E.W. Bullinger looks at that witness, and shows us how perfectly it describes the way of salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son: beginning with the seed of the woman, the first prophecy, in Gen. 3:15. Paul also refers to it in Romans 1:20, 'For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse'. So mankind was not left without a witness, even before the written word was formed. Yet mankind has corrupted it's message by their own vain imaginings (Rom.1:25), as they do with the word of God written.

Thank you
In Christ Jesus
Chris

I read that way back in the 80’s

"...Right Division

For or many years a family in a northern state lived on the banks of a river.
As time passed, more children were added until the total was ten, plus the
mother and the father. Each year as winter approached the father would
gather the children to his side and, in no uncertain terms, explain that no
one was to ever go out on the ice.

One Monday, three of the children decided to walk across the frozen ice as a
shortcut on their way to school. Some of the older children begged them not
to, and reminded them of their Dad’s stern warning. “Nothing is going to
happen to us. Just leave us alone. We’ll be just fine.” So off the three children
went.

Because the water was more shallow at first, the ice was quite thick. So, with
a false sense of security, the three children began to run. Suddenly, the ice
beneath their feet began to crack, and all three plunged into the icy water,
never to be seen again.

In a spiritual sense, many of God’s children are doing something very similar...
[In view Of Judgment, how many of us are on the thin ice of false doctrine?]

...When the Apostle Paul writes to Timothy at Ephesus, he says,

“I besought thee...that thou mightest charge some
that they teach no other doctrine” (I Tim. 1:3)...

You dispensationalists must have the words "right division, rightly divided, the gospel of grace" BURNED into your brain. You can't seem to get away from it.

A more better translation is "accurately handling the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15

Unfortunately Darby, C.I. Scofield and all the leaders and disciples of The Dallas Theological Cemetery have led millions right out on to the thin ice of false teaching.
