When our lawn mower broke and wouldn't run, my wife kept hinting to me that I should get it fixed.
But, somehow I always had something else to take care of first, the shed, the boat,
making beer.. Always something more important to me.
Finally she thought of a clever way to make her point.
When I arrived home one day, I found her seated in the tall grass, busily snipping away with a tiny pair of sewing
scissors. I watched silently for a short time and then went into
the house. I was gone only a minute, and when I came out again
I handed her a toothbrush.
I said, "When you finish cutting the
grass, you might as well sweep the driveway."
The doctors say I will walk again, but I will always have a limp.

In Italy the clock is changed twice a year just like it is in the states.Curiosity begs a question.
In other countries are the clocks changed twice a year like in the US?

They could keep daylight savings and drop the other. That's a Google question.
I live in the western USA.
Our state legislature has been debating dropping daylight savings altogether.
I begged them not to because I don't want a 4 am sunrise and a 7:30 sunset during the summer.
They don't grasp the there's a three hour light difference between winter and summer.
Here that'd mean an 8:20 am sunrise during the winter. They could keep daylight savings and drop the other.
Me too.President Trump almost made one permanent... but backed out of that.
I, for one, hate it when it is dark at 7 AM...
Work one out and let's discuss it.Wonder if they could come up with a monthly change that would work year round to keep it more even?
How have you been brother ?Here that'd mean an 8:20 am sunrise during the winter.
That was actually tried back in the 70's.
It turned into an absolute fuster-cluck.

The US Tried Permanent Daylight Saving Time in the ā70s. People Hated It - Washingtonian
The sun rose at 8:27 AM on January 7, 1974. Children in the Washington area had left for school in the dark that morning, thanks to a new national experiment during a wrenching energy crisis: most of the US went to year-round daylight saving time beginning on January 6. "It was jet black"...www.washingtonian.com
Me too.
I like 5 am, and 8:30 pm.
Work one out and let's discuss it.
Wiser people than me figured out daylight savings and look where we're at now.
