Kirk Cameron and annihilationism

as they say " CONTEXT " is everything, CONTEXT is KING.

You do know there are no chapters and verses in the original document of the Greek New Testament right ?

Lets see if you will answer this simple question with a yes or a no ?

Now we can move on to Jesus teaching in Matthew 16 which comes right before Matthew 17 account of the Trandsfiguration.

Matthew 16:21-27
21From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.
22Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. “Never, Lord!” he said. “This shall never happen to you!”
23Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.”
24Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.
25For whoever wants to save their lifewill lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.
26What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?
27For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.
28Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.

The Transfiguration follows Matthew 16 above.

Matthew 17:1-13
After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves.
2There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light.
3;Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus.
4Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.”
5While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!”
6When the disciples heard this, they fell facedown to the ground, terrified. 7But Jesus came and touched them. “Get up,” he said. “Don’t be afraid.” 8When they looked up, they saw no one except Jesus.
9As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus instructed them, “Don’t tell anyone what you have seen, until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.”
10The disciples asked him, “Why then do the teachers of the law say that Elijah must come first?”
11Jesus replied, “To be sure, Elijah comes and will restore all things. 12But I tell you, Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but have done to him everything they wished. In the same way the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands.” 13Then the disciples understood that he was talking to them about John the Baptist.
And your conclusion of that is?

after you answer my questions I asked then I will elaborate.

this works both ways you know. I answer your questions its time for you to answer mine for a change.

Yes, I know there are no chapters and verses in the original document of the Greek New Testament.

A believer/disciple of the Lord is open and teachable, not full of pride and refuses correction.

Proverbs 4:5-9
5Get wisdom, get understanding;
do not forget my words or turn away from them.
6Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you;
love her, and she will watch over you.
7The beginning of wisdom is this: wisdom.
Though it cost all you have, get understanding.
8Cherish her, and she will exalt you;
embrace her, and she will honor you.
9She will give you a garland to grace your head
and present you with a glorious crown.”

Proverbs 9:9
Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still; teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.

Psalm 86:11
Teach me your way, O LORD, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name.

Below is a good article on the topic. No one is beyond learning, growing, correction etc...............

There is no vacuum anywhere in the blood supply system.

A closed system that returns fluid to the pump, by necessity relative to any pumping action, requires a vacuum.

There is a vacuum created when blood transverses the valves of the heart.

Nature. We mimic nature. Ask your favorite AI. We know this because we understand "fluid dynamics". We can manufacture an artificial heart.

I always been fascinated with mechanical systems. I wanted to be a mechanical engineer was I was a teenager.

Ask your AI of choice. Copy these words "artificial heart fluid dynamics vacuum".

He is a smart guy. He is being stubborn. My bet is that he has said what he is saying..... for so long.... that to admit he was wrong..... would destroy any context of being "a man of God".

Oh the silliness tied to this modern interpretation of being "God's man".

Truth of the matter, women have long had more impact on our human descendents than most any man. The practical only exception is Jesus Christ.

Just to be clear. I'm an man. There is no context of maturity in this life without embrace the "help" necessary in our lives that comes from women.

It is the very root of understanding the differences between us "men" and "God". "Marriage".

I know I have had to eat allot of crow leaving calvinism and paid a price for it online, not so much in my personal life, church life its been well received. The same with PSA that I once espoused for decades. None of us have a complete grasp on the truth and we all believe things that are wrong. But the only way a person can ever know is to be shown, be open and teachable. Have conversations with people they know and respect and like a good berean test them to see if they are from God or not. I'm always questioning things I believe and going to God seeking the truth and correction or affirmation. Left to my own wisdom I will always believe error and my pride will not allow me to consider another POV.

Obviously meant for me but not sure why....

Because I am hiding under a bag?

I have learned while here. I even change a view or two. But I am not a leader.

Those that are leaders don't care to be called leaders. There are no "ears and eyes" left in the body.

That would be a good conversation to have, but it would cause a ton of conflict.

not at all meant for you, but for everyone including myself.

on a side note leader/follower, disciple/believer - we all need to be open and teachable thats Gods standard. And I enjoy reading your posts, I learn from you too. :)

I have three degrees, the first two were mechanical engineering.

Is there any place in the blood circulatory system where there is a vacuum?

No part of the human circulatory system ever contains a true vacuum. Blood vessels and the heart always maintain positive pressure or, at most, slightly sub‑atmospheric pressure—but never an empty space.

Why a Vacuum Cannot Exist in the Circulatory System

  • Blood flow depends on pressure gradients, generated by the heart and regulated by vessel resistance. A vacuum (zero pressure) would collapse vessels and stop circulation entirely.
  • Veins—especially those in the chest—can experience slightly negative pressure relative to atmospheric pressure during inhalation, but this is not a vacuum. It’s simply a mild suction effect created by changes in thoracic pressure.
  • The system is always filled with blood, and vessels are designed to remain open under normal physiological pressures.

What the Evidence Shows

  • The circulatory system is a continuous, pressurized network of arteries, capillaries, and veins that must maintain pressure to move blood effectively.
  • Blood flow relies on overcoming vascular resistance with heart‑generated pressure; a vacuum would prevent this entirely.

The prt of us that wants to be prideful sinful, basically disregard God and play at being our own god
It is called an independent mind. It is not innately sinful. Adam had an independent mind. He never had the mind of God until he was born from above. Even then, he didn't cease from having an independent mind.

We don't desire sin from our conception. We learn in the womb. We learn from our parents to sin. We have the ability to choice for ourselves. Having an independent mind is what you're describing. Nothing more.
