Looking at posts on the Trinity ..and from unitarians and the like..

There is often the idea of .. Jesus is still Messiah.. Saviour.. Lord.

And yet.. somehow still mortal.

I think central to unitarianism is that man can have God powers. Because even if you say the powers Jesus had were given by the Father .. Jesus still does things no one else has. He does things far above and beyond the disciples.

*Jesus forgave sin of those who hadn't directly offended Him. A mortal person could think for themselves that.. but would have no actual power. I could say-- oh those guys ran over that woman.. and decide to not hold the hurt against them for myself and forgive. Jesus would actually have power over their sin to cleanse it from their spirit if they believed in Him! None of the disciples or apostles had that power.

Or saying when Jesus saw Nathaneal under a tree.. that was power given by the Father. Well, that isn't how the scripture is presented. It's just Jesus seeing Nathaneal.

Or Jesus sends the Holy Spirit with the Father.. again is said to be power given by the Father. You don't see any of that kind of thing with the disciples and apostles. A mortal man can't send the Holy Spirit. Jesus gave the Comforter.

What the disciples and apostles had was as sinners who were given gifts and God worked through them to show His authority and mission.

What Jesus had is equal power and authority, working things by His own power often. That's not a sinner's work.
