Does your Bible delete the words of Jesus in Mark 7:16?

Dear All,

The very words of Jesus are being removed from many Bibles, some are harder to see than others but no omission is more simple to see than what is done by all those versions that have removed Mark 7:16 from the texts!

God has given symmetrical subject patterns in His Word to help protect His Word from Bible alterations! These patterns follow the subject according to a complete sense so that the students of the texts may understand the complete thought and subject of what is written and being discussed, a subject outline for understanding.

It was given to Thomas Boys to name the symmetrical subject structures Correspondence.

https://www.studylight.org/lexicons/eng/bullinger/c/correspondence.html

Correspondence is brought forth in structures called Alternation, Introversion and Division (A.I.D), individually or in combination, to A.I.D. his people with the ever so increasing corruptions being furthered by ignorance, peer pressure and/or planned attacks on the word of God!

They used to give kids a test in schools as a way to test their intelligence that would include completing patterns.

The object was to complete the pattern such as follows:

1, 2, 3, __, 5, 6, 7 or a, b, __, __, b, a and so forth….

Please complete the following pattern and let’s “C” your intelligence:

A, B, __, B, A (What should go between the B’s to complete the pattern?)

Again, God has given symmetrical subject patterns in His Word to help protect His Word from Bible alterations!

Please complete the following pattern and let’s see your intelligence so we know if you have an “i” to see?

i, k, k, __ (What should go after the second “k” to complete the pattern?)

Below in Mark 7:14-16 is the Correspondence symmetrical subject structure according to the complete thought, complete, because God leaves no loose ends in His word!

Mark 7:14-16 - PEOPLE. PROCLAMATION.
( Introversion )

E2 | i | 14. Call to hearken.
......|....k | 15-. Defilement is not from without.
......|....k | -15. Defilement is from within.
......| i | 16. Call to hearken.

To remove Mark 7:16 in the above subject structure leaves a loose end in THE WORD OF GOD and to know THE WORD OF GOD is to know that His WORD leaves no loose ends for all His ways and words are perfect!

God is so good, He gives us symmetrical subject structures in THE BIBLE to A.I.D. ( Alternation, Introversion and Division) His children in understanding and sharing His Word from those who would erroneously attempt to corrupt what He has written!

Mark 7:14-16 has the subject structure of Introversion, also called a ring structure because “the opening and closing” i’s in the above structure are seen as the closing of a circle. Perfect symmetry, no loose ends!

Not only does God provide the subject structures to A.I.D us in confirming that Mark 7:16 is a part of THE WORD OF GOD, He also gives us grammatical Figures of Speech like Epanadiplosis aka Encircling as a second witness!

A Grammatical Figure of Speech is used by God in THE BIBLE to give emphasis and in depth meaning to HIS WORD for us to learn and understand!

The kids definition of a sentence is as follows:

Sentence - a grammatically self-contained group of words that expresses a statement, a question, a command, a wish, or an exclamation

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/sentence

The following is a Grammatical Figure of Speech revealed in Mark 7:14-16!

Epanadiplosis; or Encircling

The Repetition of the same Word or Words at the beginning and end of a Sentence

Ep´-an-a-di-plô´-sîs. Greek ἐπαναδίπλωσις, from ἐπί (epi), upon, ἀνα (ana), again, and διπλοῦς (diplous), a doubling.

It means a doubling upon again, and the Figure is so called because the same word is repeated both at the beginning and at the end of a sentence.

The Latins called it INCLUSIO, inclusion: either because the first word of the sentence is included at the end, or because of the importance of the matter which is thus included between the two words.

They called it also CYCLUS, from the Greek κύκλος (kyklos), a circle, because the repetition concluded what is said, as in a circle.

When this figure is used, it marks what is said as being comprised in one complete circle, thus calling our attention to its solemnity; giving completeness of the statement that is made, or to the truth enumerated, thus marking and emphasizing its importance.

The figure is lost by the translation both in the A.V. [Note: The Authorized Version, or current Text of our English Bible, 1611.] and the R.V. [Note: The Revised Version, 1881.] There is another figure in this verse: Paronomasia (q.v. [Note: Which see.] ).

Mark 7:14-16.-“Hearken (ἀκούετε, akouete) unto me every one of you and understand: there is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him those are they that defile the man. If any man have ears to hear, let him hearken (ἀκουέτω, akouetô)."

https://www.studylight.org/lexicons/eng/bullinger/e/epanadiplosis-or-encircling.html

Mark 7:14-16 And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, “Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand: There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man. If any man have ears to hear, let him hear(hearken).”

7 times in the NT Jesus states for those who have had their ears opened to hearken to what He has said!

Matt 13:9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.KJV

Unless you use corrupted texts and trust mankind, then it would be six times, the number of man showing forth the wickedness of men who delete THE WORD OF GOD from their versions of THE BIBLE!

REPENT and don’t allow your BIBLE to be altered!!

Hello,

There are many Bibles deleting the words of Jesus now a days, here's an example of the CJB deleting Mark 7:16 in their acceptance of corrupted incomplete texts in forming their version.

CJB missing Mark 7 16.png

Ignorance, on purpose, deception, stupor...hmmm?

As evidenced in the original post, deleting Mark 7:16, the very words of Jesus/Yeshua, leaves a loose end proven by the structure style of the Bible and it also shows their ignorance to the figure Epanadiplosis!

There are many more versions of Bibles that delete the very words of Yeshua/Jesus, how about your Bible? Is it totally deleted like the JW NWT or are your interpreters fence straddlers with a foot note like CJB who delete and straddle?

My Bible has Mark 7:16 in a footnote where it explains that the oldest manuscripts do not have the verse, but it was added in some later manuscripts, so they moved it to the footnotes so the TEXT would be as close to what Mark wrote as possible, while the words were still available to modern readers (in the footnote).

I am grateful for their scholarly efforts.

Hello atpollard,

They deleted the very words of Jesus in your version of the Bible because they use corrupt Egyptian Alexandrian Texts!

How could you be grateful for people who delete the words of Jesus?

Are the words of Jesus a footnote?

When they say, "oldest manuscripts" they forget to include corrupted oldest manuscripts that delete the words of Jesus.

Deleting the words of Jesus is not scholarly, it's biblically illiterate or deception.

Have you read the original post and understood?

Please complete the following pattern and let’s “C” your intelligence:

Dear All,

Here's another example of the deletion of the words of Jesus from another version of the Bible that claims to be a "The Complete Bible" and look, just after Jesus tells them they make void the word of God by their traditions and other things they do, those using corrupted and incomplete Egyptian Alexandrian Texts delete Mark 7:16, they have deleted the very words of Jesus as follows!

Mark 7:13 thus making void the word of God through your tradition which you hand on. And many such things you do.”

14 And he called the people to him again, and said to them, “Hear me, all of you, and understand: 15 there is nothing outside a man which by going into him can defile him; but the things which come out of a man are what defile him.” 17 And when he had entered the house, and left the people, his disciples asked him about the parable. - https://www.freebibleversion.org/ "

Where's verse 16 in the above quoted version to complete the figure of speech Enpanadiplosis?

They too have a foot note to justify removing the very words of Jesus from their version, "e 7:16. The earliest manuscripts do not have verse 16."

The footnote should say the earliest CORRUPT manuscripts do not have verse 16!

First--we don't know what the 3rd letter is and assume it is C, but for all we know , the pattern could be A,B,X,B,A. We just don't have enough information to guarantee that C is the answer.
Similarly, i,k,k, could have a repeating k 20 more times--not enough information is given to establish a pattern.

Hello Quintus5,

Well thank you for playing, guess we can "C" your intelligence and if you have an "i" to see.

Pretty funny to choose a letter X in the middle of a chiastic structure and prove the symmetrical pattern! Lol

God doesn't leave loose ends in his word and gives the A, B, C's and 1, 2, 3's that even a child can see.

When they say, "oldest manuscripts" they forget to include corrupted oldest manuscripts that delete the words of Jesus.
Opinion, not fact. I can PROVE that the oldest manuscripts do not contain the words.

Can you PROVE that the even older manuscripts that do not exist originally HAD the words so they were removed, instead of a later scribe ADDED those words? [No, you cannot.]

So save the conspiracy theory for someone less interest in facts and more willing to drink the Kool-aid.

Hello atpollard,

Will you go to Egyptian Alexandrian incomplete corrupted text copies from Egypt that are missing the very word of Jesus for proof?

What did God tell his people about returning to Egypt?

Can you PROVE that the even older manuscripts that do not exist originally HAD the words so they were removed, instead of a later scribe ADDED those words? [No, you cannot.]

Already proved that they are deleting the very words of Jesus in Mark 7:16 in the original post through Grammar and Literary Science of Correspondence and the figure of Epanadiplosis aka Encircling as evidenced by Figures of Speech Used in the Bible by Bullinger to which no decent scholar denies and through basic common sense that God leaves no loose ends in His Word!

So save the conspiracy theory for someone less interest in facts and more willing to drink the Kool-aid.

Objective literary scientific proof is not drinking kool-aid or a theory, God is real and so is his styles of writing, which clearly and unfortunately you and countless others are not in the know about. If you care, make an effort and look for yourself or don't.

Claiming modern translators and publishers are part of a conspiracy to deliberately remove the words of Jesus from the Bible for nefarious reasons IS “drinking the Kool-aid”.

Hello atpollard,

Really, that's the best you've got to support the removal of the words of Jesus from your Bible and reduce the words of Jesus to a footnote?

Did you even read the whole of the nonsense babbling fence straddling you shared? Take the original post to your beloved scholar and ask him for help to support your footnote and deletion of the words of Jesus acceptance and to prove the original post wrong.

Your scholar shows ignorance to the Literary Science of Figures of Speech used in the Bible and ignorance to the subject structure outlines.

His nonsense was already proven wrong in the original post of this thread which you keep avoiding.

It is written that man shall live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God, yet why don't you care they are removing the words of Jesus from your Bible?

Matt 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Yup. Jesus said them (in another context), but Mark didn’t write them in that verse … that’s the ONLY REASON that I have why I think it is a good idea to move them to a footnote.

… and your reason to add words to the Bible that Mark did not write is an imaginary structure that you invent for just a few verses. :ROFLMAO:

  • Palindromic (A B X B A)
  • Alphabetical (A B C B A)
  • Number-based (A = 1, B = 2, so middle could be 3 = C)
  • Symbolic (maybe B is repeated with no significance to alphabet at all)

for i,k,k,
There’s no clear progression:

  • Could be: i (skips j), k, k → maybe next is k again (repetition)
  • Could be "L" i, skips j,kk, "L"
  • Could be a doubling: i, k, k, k, k (like Fibonacci variation)
  • There is just not enough information. It's just guesswork.

The very words of Jesus have been deleted in the above versions and the words of Jesus have been reduced or made to be doubted with brackets around the text and are shown now as a "footnote" in most instances!

They ignore grammar or are ignorant of grammatical Figures of Speech Used in the Bible called Epanadiplosis and Correspondence, even ignoring or ignorant to basic Bible 101 Parallelism of Parallel Lines as shared in the original post of this thread!

"Let no man deceive you" into deleting the words of Jesus from your Bible!

As J.P. Green Sr., says as follows:

“Who are these men who tell us these are not God's words? And what evidence do they give to you to persuade you to give up these historically accepted, venerable words that have stood the test of time - and this despite the onslaughts of emperors, heathen hordes, philosophers, popes, and fleshly inducements?

How did these words come to be questioned in the first place? What is behind these omissions?

Who are these men who are assuring us that this or that word, or phrase, or verse does not belong in our Bible?

If they are learned scholars, should we not allow their scholarly minds guide us as to what words to believe? No!

What then is the evidence these Bible-alterers offer to persuade you to give up the precious words they have removed from their versions?

Mainly, they cite two manuscripts, admittedly old, but also admittedly carelessly executed.

The Sinaiticus was so poorly executed that seven different hands of 'textual critics' can be discerned as they tried to impose their views on the Bible. They twisted it like a nose of wax to meet their purposes at the time. It is no wonder it was discarded, found in a wastebasket fourteen centuries after it was executed.

The Vaticanus manuscript lay on a shelf in the Vatican library at Rome until 1431, and was considered so corrupt that none would use it (Erasmus, the noted Roman Catholic scholar, refused to consider it as a source when he formed the Received Text). The Vaticanus has errors so absurd that the books purporting to teach 'technical science' carefully avoid mentioning these gross errors in their favorite manuscript. They take this one and add to it a handful of other manuscripts from the Alexandrian textbase, all of them very loose in their handling of the Scriptures.

From these they give you their theories, their hypotheses, their glosses.

What are these words which they have so freely removed from their version of the Scriptures?

… they have done away entirely with Mark's witness to the ascension, simply because these last twelve verses do not appear in those two corrupt manuscripts, the Vaticanus and the Sinaiticus (yet the scribe of the Vaticanus has left an empty space exactly large enough to contain those twelve verses - he must have seen them in older manuscripts, else how would he know how much space to leave? And the last 12 verses of Mark in the Sinaiticus manuscript are written in much larger letters, very loosely, to fill up the space which would contain these last twelve verses if the same size letters had been used throughout." - J.P.Green Sr. – Preface to Green’s Interlinear – The Greek Text

You brought forth very interesting facts. Every English Bible built on the Alexandrian Text should be exposed, as you're doing, and done away with.

I'm more in line with the Majority Text which is very close to the Received Text that Erasmus compiled.

Dear All,

The following is regarding subject structure outlines from How To Enjoy The Bible by EW Bullinger and it's still true today.

"The facts being as thus stated, it shows that the subject has either not yet been grasped nor understood by Bible students; or, that it makes too much for the Inspiration and Divine Origin and Authority of the Word of God; and that there are spiritual powers, working with the human, whose one great object is to make the Word of God of none effect (Eph 6:12 and 17).

And yet, we may say that, no more powerful weapon has yet been placed in our hands outside that Word, which is "the Spirit's sword." It affords a wondrous proof of Inspiration; it gives us a clearer and more comprehensive view of the scope of the Scriptures, than the most learned and elaborate commentaries can ever hope to do; and it is capable of even turning the scale in doubtful, doctrinal, and critical questions.

By its means the student is led to views and truths, and reflections which, without it, would never have occurred to him. And it is not too much to say that until the Correspondences of the Biblical Structure are duly recognized we shall never get a correct translation or a true interpretation of many passages which are to this day dark and confused in both our Versions, the RV as well as in the AV.

Preaching on another subject, Bishop Lowth truthfully and feelingly observed that "It pleased God, in His unsearchable wisdom, to suffer the progress of the Reformation to be stopped midway; and the effects of it to be greatly weakened by many unhappy divisions among the reformed."

The same may be said of the Law of Correspondence in the Structure of the Word of God, so wonderfully discovered and developed; and yet, needing to-day almost to be rediscovered, and certainly to be developed in its application to the whole Word of truth.

Parts of the world, remaining yet unexplored, are eagerly sought out without stint of labour or money. Would that the same zeal could be seen applied in the interest of this great subject." - How to Enjoy the Bible, EW Bullinger

The subject structure outlines correct the errors and incomplete/corrupt manuscripts, we've only shared one small structure, these structures appear in the whole Bible throughout all the texts. They even correct false doctrines like sola scriptura which would have you to believe the subject structure outlines are imaginary and grammatical figures of speech non-existent, ignoring the objective literary science. They'll even be a minion for the adversary of the word of God and appeal to have lies and error and corruption forwarded to the masses and continue their delusion even when proved in error.

John 8:47

.......B - heareth God's words:

Even Jesus speaks in the same Introversion style of correspondence above in John 8:47, the same that he does in Mark 7:14-16, that is only if you have a Bible that doesn't delete the very words of Jesus in Mark 7:16 that bases their deletion on corrupt incomplete Egyptian Alexandrian Text and very poor scholarship!

The letters ABBA are only included to show the corresponding text and the Introversion style of correspondence.

I generally follow NAS95 and others (rarely KJV and almost never NIV) and Mark 7:16 is there.

But I have a question on whether there may be a problem with Mark, in and of itself?

There has been many a debate over Mark 16:16 "“He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned."

Much has been written regarding if Mark wrote these words because older versions ended with Mark 16:8, and there have been different endings.

Offers a certain view point.

The “Strange” Ending of the Gospel of Mark and Why It Makes All the Difference

James Tabor presents a fresh look at the original text of the earliest Gospel

This article about the Gospel of Mark was originally published on Dr. James Tabor’s popular TaborBlog, a site that discusses and reports on “‘All things biblical’ from the Hebrew Bible to Early Christianity in the Roman World and Beyond.” Bible History Daily first republished the article with consent of the author in April 2013. "And they went out and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had seized them, and they said nothing."

Most general Bible readers have the mistaken impression that Matthew, the opening book of the New Testament, must be our first and earliest Gospel, with Mark, Luke and John following. The assumption is that this order of the Gospels is a chronological one, when in fact it is a theological one. Scholars and historians are almost universally agreed that Mark is our earliest Gospel–by several decades, and this insight turns out to have profound implications for our understanding of the “Jesus story” and how it was passed down to us in our New Testament Gospel traditions.

The problem with the Gospel of Mark for the final editors of the New Testament was that it was grossly deficient. First it is significantly shorter than the other Gospels–with only 16 chapters compared to Matthew (28), Luke (24) and John (21). But more important is how Mark begins his Gospel and how he ends it.

He has no account of the virgin birth of Jesus–or for that matter, any birth of Jesus at all. In fact, Joseph, husband of Mary, is never named in Mark’s Gospel at all–and Jesus is called a “son of Mary,” see my previous post on this here. But even more significant is Mark’s strange ending. He has no appearances of Jesus following the visit of the women on Easter morning to the empty tomb!

Like the other three Gospels Mark recounts the visit of Mary Magdalene and her companions to the tomb of Jesus early Sunday morning. Upon arriving they find the blocking stone at the entrance of the tomb removed and a young man–notice–not an angel–tells them:

“Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you to Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.” And they went out and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had seized them, and they said nothing" (Mark 16:6-8)
And there the Gospel simply ends!

Mark gives no accounts of anyone seeing Jesus as Matthew, Luke, and John later report. In fact, according to Mark, any future epiphanies or “sightings” of Jesus will be in the north, in Galilee, not in Jerusalem.
There are others that can fill a novel , but I included only this one as example.

I have read of the differences of style to the various endings and cannot help but winder with the omission of Mark 7:16 from some translations, if Mark actually has a problem?

Hello MTMattie,

Mark 7:16 may be in your NAS95 but it probably has been bracketed to infer doubt of it's original existence which is utter nonsense and only based upon incomplete and/or corrupt texts. As shown in the original post, poor scholarship would have to ignore literary science of grammatical figures of epanadiplosis/encircling along with correspondence of subjects and subject matter!

No man wrote the Bible, the Spirit of God wrote through men which is evidenced throughout the whole Bible by the subject structure outlines and the depth and magnitude of style to which the texts are written which only comes from the mind of YHVH!

Here's some of the subject structure outlines of Mark 7 to establish the style of the text showing for Alternation, Introversion and Division, no man writes like this for there is no writing in the whole world in any language written to the depth and magnitude as set forth in the biblical texts!

The article from B.A.R. is a great example of the desperation of those who have embraced the Egyptian Alexandrian Texts and are so desperate to push these corrupt and incomplete texts at any cost, even to the point of calling the very words of Jesus "bogus and forgeries" in Mark 16:9-20, they claim to be "doctors" and "scholars" and "teachers" calling Mark 16:9-20 "not markan" LOL, what a sham!

There's no problem with Mark, the problem is those teaching falsely and calling the word of God a fraud and leading the masses of the biblically illiterate to accept their false teachings with buzz words like, "oldest most reliable", etc....

The subject structure outlines show forth the styles to which the Spirit of God writes consistently throughout all the Bible.

Here's the some of the structures containing the last chapter of Mark, they cannot be broken and no scribes arbitrarily add to the text but it sure can be seen when they omit because it leaves gaps and loose endings.

Here following is the subject structure outline of the whole book of Mark, they would have you believe Mark 16:9-20 is not original and delete the resurrection and the successors from your mind and the Bible as not original which couldn't be further from the Truth!

All four Gospels have similar whole book structure and include the resurrection and the successors, that is unless you believe the lies of those who are telling you that Mark 16:9-20 is not original to the Gospel according to Mark that have embraced the Egyptian Alexandrian corrupt and incomplete texts of Vaticanus and Sinaiticus which are peculiar when it comes to the last twelve verses of Mark, one leaves a blank the exact size of the twelve verses and one text all of sudden increases in size just enough to fill in what would've been a blank space for the exact size of the twelve verses as stated in this thread prior.

The subject structure outlines expand from the whole book, through each chapter and into intricate detailed line answering to line.

No man writes like the styles from the mind of YHVH through His people as evidenced in the depth and magnitude revealed by these subject structure outlines!

Don't let men deceive you and delete the very words of Jesus from your Bible or cast doubt with brackets and footnotes!
