Do Dogs Go to Heaven?

I'm tearing up just reading your post. I lost a litter to parvo once. I have two rescue dogs now. Lost two in 2024 that I had for 13 years, they had a good life. But I'm still not over it, think of them everyday.
I am so sorry.

The Bible does not clearly state whether we will see our pets again in heaven, but Scriptures suggests the presence of animals in heaven.

In Isaiah 11:6, we are told that during the Millennial reign of Jesus on earth, "The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them." A similar scene is painted later in Isaiah 65:25. It's clear there will be animals on earth during the Millennium and that predator and prey will live in harmony.

Later, John gives us a glimpse of heaven in Revelation 19:11, 14: "Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.... And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses." Jesus and His armies will ride white horses to capture Satan and the false prophet and cast them into the lake of fire forever.

It seems clear that there will be animals in heaven. It is uncertain whether the ones we loved on earth will be there. Whatever the case, we know the character of God and His love for us. He gives "good things to those who ask Him" and "gives us richly all things to enjoy" (Matthew 7:11; 1 Timothy 6:17). Heaven will be a place of joy and peace and the richest of blessings as we live in the presence of God and enjoy His good gifts for eternity.
God loves animals! God asked Noah to save them from the flood in the ark that he built. I'm sure He could have spoken them into existence again, but He didn't. In the first part of Genesis, God even parades the animals in front of Adam so he can personally name them

I hope and pray they do. The Bible doesn’t address that question directly. We are never told that specific animals will rejoin us in eternity, nor are we told they won’t. Therefore, we need to do a little digging to look for principles that can help us make an educated guess.

For starters, we know there will be animals on earth with us during the Millennium. More than that, we know the relationship between humans and the animal kingdom will be completely repaired during that time. According to the prophet Hosea, “In that day [God] will make a covenant for them with the beasts of the f ield, with the birds of the air, and with the creeping things of the ground” (Hosea 2:18). Remember, too, that there were animals in the Garden of Eden before sin entered the world: “So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field” (Genesis 2:20).

The new heavens and new earth will be more than a replica of God’s original vision for creation—they will be a glorious expansion of that vision. So, is it possible that God’s expanded creation in the new heavens and new earth could include specific, unique animals such as your own beloved pet? Yes, the Bible suggests that such an outcome could happen! Of course, I’m not guaranteeing that your specific pet will be waiting for us in the eternal state.

I simply believe God recognizes genuine love in many forms, and that “with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26).
