Crucified with Christ and dead to sin

Wrong again. At least you're consistent.

We will sin and to get back into a good relationship with God we need to confess our sins. Otherwise our sins aren't forgiven and you're walking around in unrighteousness.

…8If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us.…1 John 1:8-9

You're deceiving yourself. It is possible to let sin reign in your mortal body.

Romans 6:11-15 declares, “In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness. For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!”

You're really a trip! Everything to you is works salvation because you believe you are part of God's elect from before the foundations of the earth were laid. You think there's no need for repentance because that all happens automatically.

And now you want to continue that on and say that sin is of no consequence in our Christian Walk With Jesus. You need to examine Yourself to see if you have ever genuinely received Christ as Savior.

“Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?” (2 Corinthians 13:5).

Calvinism has you blinded.
So everyone He died for are dead to sins condemnation, it can never be laid to their charge ! Rom 4:8

Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

It cant be imputed to them since Christ had them imputed to Him and He bare them in His Own body on the tree, so they are dead to sin !

He paid the price for our sin. If the believer sins today he doesn't lose his salvation but he will have some consequences. It's no fun when god takes you out to the woodshed. And then there's the judgment of what we've done with our salvation whether or not we receive any rewards. Those whose names are found in the book of life will be judged for their deeds in order to determine the rewards they will receive or lose.

You lost me. Did you understand my post?

I miss this one. I skipped right over the verbal abuser part.

1 Corinthians 5:11
But now I am writing you not to associate with anyone who claims to be a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a verbal abuser, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat.

Okay that's it I'm avoiding that one like the plague no more verbal abusing for me no sirie Bob
Wow! I know that verse by heart, but never knew that is what a reviler was. The forums are full of those. And teenagers are bullied by them on the internet, and some have even committed suicide because they can't take the abuse.

Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Romans 6:6
We know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body of sin might be rendered powerless, that we should no longer be slaves to sin

Galatians 5:24
And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Romans 8:2
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

@charismaticlady :)
I would like to announce that at 2 PM on June 28 in the year of our Lord MMXXIV, I achieved complete sanctification and am now 100% sinless.
I am accepting congratulations for the accomplishment.

[That was a combination of hyperbole and sarcasm ... directing humor at an OP that presents verses while making no actual statements about them, so we are free to go ANYWHERE with the topic.]

We can trace the Greek source to four verses in proverbs.....

Pro 25:24 It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman and in a wide house.
Pro 19:19 A malicious man shall be severely punished, and if he commit injury, he shall also lose his life.
Pro 26:21 As coals are to burning coals, and wood to fire; so is a contentious man to kindle a fight.
Pro 27:15 On a stormy day drops of rain drive a man out of his house; so also does a railing woman drive a man out of his own house.

The word indicates verbal confrontations that lead to physical violence.

Reminds me

Mat 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

I've got one of them responding to me that way on another Christian forum site. Its been going on for years. But it lets me see my own growth done in me by the Authorer and Finisher of my faith when I don't respond back to him the same way!

I didn't so much miss it as I wasn't sure what to do with

"What about those who practice sin ?"

followed by another wall of verses
[Which I admit, I didn't read 🫣... I was just trying to figure out the SUBJECT of the Topic.]

Connect the dots with the OP. Shall we continue in sin that grace might abound ?

What was Paul’s answer ?

Paul responds with a resounding "God forbid" in Romans 6:2, saying, "How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?"

This exposes the Calvinists definition of dead. :)

They believe an oxymoron and believe in a double standard.

Nope. (that was Paul's answer)

[Technically, those words get a bit tricky in Greek when one starts talking about SINLESS PERFECTION and a life CHARACTERIZED BY SIN.]
