i have slower internet speed this time. we'll see it that works okay today. Even just two people in the chat could be okay. It reminds me of the websites with open chat and forum posts. People just chime in with whatever they want to say. Almost could do that with voice chat.

I think i have the right Dec 15th for opening the video chat. kidding
It was a late announcement in a distracting month. I'll keep it open awhile in case anyone joins in.

Thank you for doing this...I was in the hospital (planned procedure) so wasn't able to get back to you all....still interested though.

Hope you are all better now. I may open the video room before the end of the year if people are interested. Others can setup a jitsi room to be able to host on their own.

I created a discord account Berean Apologetics Community Forum. I'm going to give it a trial run with my daughter, son in law, grandson who are missionaries in Ecuador and see how it works.

First time I've ever seen it. I will take a look at it and how it works.
check on the ability to create a server/room that stays open all the time but perhaps requires approval for someone to be posting in it (or continuing to audio and video options). Sometimes the general chat area can be useful for just friendly chat or for theological discussions being done in a more dynamic fashion.
I had not thought of discord for the video gatherings since I envisioned that zoom was the platform planned-- and I recently got a little more active discord. it still is okay to have multiple gathering options -- but discord is probably sufficient to get rid of that need.
