All believers are baptized into The Body of Christ

Never said he did not receive the Holy Spirit. He did.
Just because he recieved the Spirit doesn't prove the gift of the Spirit which in Cornelius' case was speaking in tongues, was what saved him.
You aren't representing what I teach.
Cornelius clearly did not receive the same baptism of the Holy Spirit as the apostles.
Since you think Cornelius received Holy Spirit baptism exactly as the Apostles.

The argument was he was baptized en the spirit

That is a proven fact

Acts 11:15–16 (NET 2nd ed.) — 15 Then as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them just as he did on us at the beginning. 16 And I remembered the word of the Lord, as he used to say, ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

this same baptism was preached to and received by Jews as previously shown by

Matt 3:11I baptize you with water for repentance, but the one who comes after me is more powerful than I am, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
Mark 1:8I baptized you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
Luke 3:16John answered them all, saying, “I baptize you with water, but the one who is more powerful than I am is coming, of whom I am not worthy to untie the strap of his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

and Acts 11 above

That is my claim and that has been verified by scripture

Titus said:
No, I stopped willful sin.

Sure you did, and I'm George Washington.

"If we say that we have no sin (this includes willful sin), we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us." 1 John 1:8

"We all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body as well." James 3:2

So, either you're a perfect man (we can rule that out), or you are deceiving yourself and the truth is not in you - that's it! So, since the truth is not in you, we can rule out any and all of your false beliefs, such as water baptism saves.

Your belief is no one has the ability to stop willfully sinning against God.
If that is the case then God is not a just God but unjust.
Because Jesus commands us to obey all of His new testament commandments.
In your theology this is an impossibility as you claim we cannot stop willfully sinning.
What is sin?
It is transgression of Gods law.
Therefore sin is breaking Gods commandments which is His law.

Jesus teaches it is possible to stop willful sin, otherwise He would not have commanded us to obey all of His commandments.
God is just, therefore He will not demand anything from us that is impossible, which would force us into sin by our inability to obey the works God gives us to do.

The false teaching of sinless perfection greatly influences peoples minds into thinking one must be perfectly sinless in order to obey all of Gods commandments.
In their mind it is impossible to be sinlessly perfect, therefore no one can stop sinning and keep all of Gods commandments.

This is a false equivalency.
Jesus teaches you can keep/obey all of His commandments thereby stopping willful sin.
Why else did He command all to do this?
God knows no man can be perfectly sinless therefore Gods definition of stopping willful sin by keeping all of Jesus' new covenant commandments does not equate to the perfection that Jesus Himself obtained while in the flesh(Jesus never sinned, He is the only man to succeed at sinless perfection).

So, yes according to God man can stop, willfull sin by obeying all that God has commanded.
Otherwise if you say no he cannot stop willful sin you are telling God He is wrong, therefore making God a liar.

Matthew 28:19-20,
- teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you...

1John 5:10,
- he that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself, he that believeth not God hath made Him a liar because he believeth not the record that God gave of His Son

You need to understand there is more than just willful sin.
There is sin that is commited out of ignorance.
These sins I no doubt commit from time to time because I am still growing in understanding of Gods word.

If you have the belief that you cannot stop willful sin then you will never try to stop and therefore never obey Jesus by keeping all His commandments.

When Jesus tells us to do something, then I will believe it can be done.
I do not believe Jesus is commanding sinless perfection when He commands total obedience to all of His commandments.

So dont accuse me of something I don't teach or believe in.

1John 2:3-4,
- and hereby we do know Jesus if we keep His commandments,
he that sayeth, I know Him and keepeth not His commandments
is a liar and the truth is not in him

1John 3:4,
- Everyone who makes a practise of sinning also practises lawlessness, sin is lawlessness ESV
- whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness and sin is lawlessness NKJ

Matthew 7:21; 23,
- and then I will declare to them, I never knew you, depart from Me you who practise lawlessness

No Cornelius did not receive the same promise as the apostles from Jesus.

Acts 11:15-16,
- then as I began to speak the Holy Spirit fell on them just as he did on us at the beginning

The similarity Peter notes is both events required no man laying on the hands.
Cornelius' miraculous gift is the ONLY example of someone receiving the Spirit directly just as the apostles received Him.
So Cornelius is the exception not the norm.

Every single other account you have an apostle lay their hands on them to receive the Spirit.
That is what Peter is saying here.

- then as I began to speak the Holy Spirit fell on them just as he did on us at the beginning

Acts 11:15-16,
- then I remembered the word of the Lord how that He said, John indeed baptized with water but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit

You need to include the next verse to understand why Peter made this statement.

Verse 17,
- forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as He did unto us who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ what was I that I could withstand God

Peter is seeing this miracle take place with Cornelius and it occurs just like His experience by the Holy Spirit coming on them. Peter knows this is different because Acts 8 had people needing the hands of Peter laid on them to receive the gifts of the Spirit.

But also Peter notes that Cornelius received the the like gift as he did to Peter and the rest of the apostles at the very beginning.

The like gift is not the promise of Holy Spirit baptism that the apostles received.
It is the like or same exact gift the apostles were given the moment they were Holy Spirit baptized.

That gift being tongue speaking.

Acts 10:45-46 and Acts 2:3-4
- and they of the circumcision which believed were astonished as many as came with Peter because that on the gentiles also was poured out the GIFT of the Holy Spirit
- for they heard them speak with tongues...

- and there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire and it sat upon each of them
- and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in tongues...

You ignore that only the apostles were promised Holy Spirit baptism.
You ignore the qualifications that had to be met in order to receive what the apostles received.
For example an eye witness to Jesus after His ressurection.
They had to be in Jerusalem on penetcost.
They had to be baptized by John as that is who John spoke to who would receive Jesus baptizing them with the Spirit.

Off topic.
Peter plainly said what saved Cornelius and it wasn't the miraculous working of the Holy Spirit falling on him to speak in tongues.
If tongue speaking is how you know Cornelius was saved, then where's your tongue speaking?
You were not even saved the way you claim Cornelius was saved!!! You did not get what Cornelius got.

Acts 11:14,
- who shall tell thee words whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved

Peter said Cornelius was saved by hearing Peter preach the gospel, so the word of God saved him.
Not once does Peter make reference to the Holy Spirit falling on Peter as what saved him.
Dont you think Peter would teach what you teach instead of saying nothing about the miraculous event that occurred with Cornelius when Peter did say what saved Cornelius?

When we know why the apostles received the baptism of the Holy Spirit we can better understand why Cornelius did not receive the same promise and power the apostles received.

This outpouring of the Spirit on the apostles was to enable them to accomplish the task the Lord had given them.
Cornelius was never given this work.

John 14:16,
- and I will pray the Father and He shall give you the Comforter that He may abide with you for ever
- but the Comforter which is the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name He shall teach you all things and bring to your remembrance whatsoever I have said unto you

The baptism of the Holy Spirit was performed by Christ on the apostles to enable them to reveal the whole truth with the accompanying evidence that it came from Deity.
Having been promised to no others and to be given for no other purpose than has been demonstrated one would have to conclude that the house of Cornelius was not given the Holy Spirit for the same reason.

No Bibles therefore miraculous knowledge was given to the apostles through the baptism of the Spirit.
This they had to have in order to fullfil the commandment to preach the gospel to all nations, Matthew 28:19.

Cornelius was never commanded to go into all the world and preach the gospel.
Therefore he had no need to be given the Comforter as the apostles were given.

Only way people who heard the preaching of the apostles knew that they were spokesmen from God was by their perfect memory of all of Jesus' teaching and their performing of miracles that confirmed the word was from God.

Cornelius needed none of these.
He only was given the Holy Spirit to give a sign to the Jews so that they could know the gentiles had been excepted by God into the kingdom.
This is the purpose of Cornelius' miraculous tongue speaking.
It was not to save him but a sign for the jews.

Mark 16:15-20,
- So then after the Lord has spoken unto them(apostles) Jesus was received up into heaven and sat on the right hand of God
- and they(apostles) went forth and preached every where the Lord working with them and CONFIRMING the word with signs(miracles) following

Anyone who claims Holy Spirit baptism today must perform miracles as CONFIRMING they are Holy men of God.

Never in all the new testament was Holy Spirit baptism not accompanied with miraculous gifts of those who truly received God.

All those today who claim it. Can only make empty claims with their mouths. They cannot confirm it as did the apostles.

Paul being Holy Spirit baptized preached with demonstration of the Holy Spirit.
That is proof not merely saying you have it.

1Corinthians 2:4,
- and my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of mans wisdom but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power

Cornelius and the gentiles received the baptism en the Spirit

Acts 11:15–16 (NASB95) — 15 “And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them just as He did upon us at the beginning. 16 “And I remembered the word of the Lord, how He used to say, ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

The Spirit's falling on them is the Baptism

Its scripture.

Why do you seek to avoid it?

Cornelius and the gentiles received the baptism en the Spirit

Acts 11:15–16 (NASB95) — 15 “And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them just as He did upon us at the beginning. 16 “And I remembered the word of the Lord, how He used to say, ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

The Spirit's falling on them is the Baptism
The Holy Spirit fell on the gentiles Cornelius and His household.
Every time the Holy Spirit was given to someone to work miracles through them is not what John said Jesus would baptize the Jewish disciples of Jesus with in Mark 1:8,

- I indeed baptize with water but Jesus shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit

To claim anyone else recieved what the apostles received needs to explain how when...
John the Baptist is telling these men that they being Jews would be Baptized by Jesus.
John is telling this to Jews who are being baptized by John in water.
This is another qualifier. This baptism by Jesus will be done to Jews who were there with John being baptized by him.

Cornelius being a gentile would not be here at this time with John as no gentiles were baptized by John.
So you are being careless with the audience of who is being told will receive this promise in Jerusalem on penetcost.

Acts 11:15-16 I already explained this.

You are claiming Peter is saying that Cornelius received the same promise that the apostles received in Mark 1:8 and Acts 1:5 and Acts 2. Wrong.

- then remembered I the word of the Lord how that Jesus said, John indeed baptized with water but ye(jews) shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit

VERSE 17 WHICH YOU MUST QUOTE EXPLAINS WHAT PETER MEANS!!!

Verse 17,
- forasmuch then as God gave them(Cornelius, household) the like gift as He did unto us...

Peter is speaking of the like gift between what the apostles were given by the Holy Spirit baptism and what Cornelius received.

The Spirit's falling on Cornelius imparts the like gift exactly the same gift given to the apostless. Not the promise given to the apostles now this same promise being given to a gentile.
Bad Hermeneutics.
Both had the Spirit poured out on them in the same manner.
Both did not receive the same promise.
John called the pouring out of the Spirit on the Jews a baptizo.
The word of God does not use the same phrase in Cornelius' Holy Spirit encounter.
The word is not recorded as Cornelius' baptizo by Jesus with the Holy Spirit.
The word only records the Jews will be baptizo by Jesus with the Holy Spirit, Mark 1:8.

We must determine what the like gift is.
Is it baptizo by Jesus with the Holy Spirit?
Or
Is it the speaking in tongues that the apostles first did when they were baptized with the Holy Spirit?

Acts 11:15,
- and as I began to speak the Holy Spirit fell on them as on us at the beginning

Similar was How the Spirit fell on the apostles and Cornelius.
Neither received the laying on of hands to receive the Holy Spirit, similarity.

Peter notes this because Peter had to lay his hands on the saved believers in Acts 8 to receive the Spirit.
So that is why Peter says - the Holy Spirit fell on them as on us at the beginning

Peter is not saying Cornelius has had the same baptism by Jesus that was promised to us(apostles).

Peter goes on saying God gave the gentiles(Cornelius) the like gift as He did to us(apostles) Acts 11:17.
Peter is not saying the gentiles are givin by God the same promise of baptism by Jesus with the Spirit.

Peter is referring to the same exact gift that both jew and gentile received when the Holy Spirit fell on both of them,

Acts 10:45-46,
- and they of the circumcision which believed were astonished as many came with Peter because that on the gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Spirit

Next verse tells you what the gift of the Holy Spirit is in this context.

- for they(jews) heard them speak with tongues and magnify God then answered Peter.

This is the like gift that both the apostles and gentiles were given by the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:3,
- and there appeared unto them(apostles) cloven tongues like as of fire and it sat upon each of them and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit

Let's say you are correct and Cornelius got the same Holy Spirit baptism that was promised to the apostles in Jerusalem on penetcost.

You're wrong, but if you were right it still does not prove that Holy Spirit baptism and the gift imparted by the Spirit, tongue speaking that, that baptism saved Cornelius.

The main point I want you to learn is no one got saved by being baptized with the Holy Spirit.
Therefore 1Corinthians 12:13 is not HS baptism that adds the saved into the one body.
It has always been water immersion that washes away sins as Cornelius'sins were washed away when Peter baptized him. Matthew 28:19 ; Mark 16:15-16 ; Acts 2:38 ; Romans 6:1-7 ; 1Peter 3:21

Acts 11:14,
- who shall tell thee words whereby thou and all thy household shall be saved

Anyone claiming to be Holy Spirit baptized today must have miraculous gifts.
Not one example in all the new testament shows someone who has received Holy Spirit baptism that cannot work miracles.
This claim today can only be claimed it cannot be confirmed as Paul did.
1Corinthians 2:4,
- and my speech and my preaching was not enticing words of mans wisdom but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power

Once again the claim is the gentiles were baptized en the Spirit

To that end I posted

Acts 11:15–16 (NASB95) — 15 “And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them just as He did upon us at the beginning. 16 “And I remembered the word of the Lord, how He used to say, ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

Why do you not exegete this?

I have.
You never answered any of my objections given in Scripture as to why the promise of Jesus to His apostles was not promised to anyone else.

The Spirit was poured out on many in the new covenant.
That does not mean they all recieved the promise of being baptized by Jesus in the Spirit.
The baptizo with the Holy Spirit was a phrase used by John to the Jewish disciples of Jesus, Mark 1:8.Them alone!!!
You show me in the story of Cornelius where the same phrase is used?
The Bible says the Spirit fell on Cornelius.
Just as the Spirit fell on the apostles in Matthew 10 before they were Holy Spirit baptized in Acts 2.

Go ahead and tell me that the apostles were Holy Spirit baptized in Matthew 10? I challenge you to use that phrase for what occured in Matthew 10.

They received the Spirit then. So did Cornelius later. Neither instances was Holy Spirit baptism as how John the Baptist phrased it in Mark 1:8.

Do you not know the Holy Spirit worked diferent miracles in diferent individuals for different purposes?

Acts 10 says the Spirit fell on Cornelius, Acts 10:44
Also says was poured out the gift of the Holy Spirit, Acts 10:45

Acts 10 does not use the phrase baptized with the Holy Spirit.
That phrase was uttered by John to a specific group. Cornelius was not in that group.

Acts 11 Peter says the Spirit  fell on them as on us at the beginning.
I've explained multi times what Peter means here. Peter is referring to both speaking in tongues.
Peter then says,
- then I remembered the word of the Lord how that He said, John indeed baptized with water but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit = Peter here is quoting Acts 1:5.

Peter isn't saying here Cornelius is included with Jesus' words to the apostles in Acts 1:5.
The very next verse explains that Peter is remembering that when he was Holy Spirit baptized he recieved the same gift. That gift being tongue speaking.

Cornelius clearly did not receive the like gift of tongue speaking for the same purpose the apostles received this gift.

Peter explains why the Spirit fell on Cornelius and it was not for the reasons the apostles were Holy Spirit baptized by Jesus.

Acts 11:18,
- When they(jews) heard these things they held their peace and glorified God saying Then God also to the gentiles granted repentance unto life

The Holy Spirit falling on Cornelius was not to save him.
Its purpose was for the Jews to be given a sign that God had also excepted the gentiles to be equal with them having been given the gift of eternal life and being added to the same kingdom of God.

Acts 10:34,35
- Then Peter opened His mouth and said, of truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons

You need to be more careful with which Bible phrases you choose to use for which subject is being discussed.
The Holy Spirit fell on both jew and gentile.
But John used that specific phrase for the Jews only.

Mark 1:8,
- I indeed have baptized you with water but Jesus shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit
The audience is Jews here. Not gentiles.

You are sloppy with the word.

Oh, so I guess the apostle John and James were wrong, but you are right. Your arrogance makes you think that you no longer commit a willful sin, but John said you're deceived and the truth is not in you. That, in itself, is a sin. If you were humble, you would be teachable and understand how to interpret the verses that you quoted, instead of legalistically and proudly thinking that you will never again commit a willful sin.

I have.

Why is Peter saying this?

And you were answered with scripture as above and the multiple promises from the gospels previously posted

And BTW the pouring out of the Spirit is the baptism en the Spirit

Acts 10:45 (NASB95) — 45 All the circumcised believers who came with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.
Acts 10:46 (NASB95) — 46 For they were hearing them speaking with tongues and exalting God. Then Peter answered,

Peter's comment expounded upon what he saw.

Acts 11:15 (NASB95) — 15 “And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them just as He did upon us at the beginning.
Acts 11:16 (NASB95) — 16 “And I remembered the word of the Lord, how He used to say, ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

This is the parallel passage to Eph 4:5- the One Baptism is by the Spirit into one body. Notice the ONE BODY, ONE SPIRIT which links together the ONE BAPTISM is both passages. Its the Spirits baptism which is not by water.

1 Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
Amen! Ephesians 4:5 - one Lord, one faith, one baptism.

1 Corinthians 12:13 - For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body--whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free--and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. *Also see John 4:10,14; 7:37-39 for the word drink(s) and see the connection with the Holy Spirit.
