Acts 10 does not support calvinism

It was Jesus who sent the angels to get Lot, because of Abraham. The angel's mission was for Lot. Lot's wife was like the world and her heart was hardened. Jesus was directly involved at Cornelius's house. Add it up. An Angel visited, Jesus sends Peter, Cornelius get a visit from an Apostle. Cornelius was Chosen. This isn't a Calvinist issue
Cornelius worked Righteousness before God, can a unregenerate do that ? Acts 10:35

But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
John writes of such a one 1 Jn 2:29

If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

Thats proof Cornelius was born of God

of course you would not use Acts 10 since it disproves calvinism lol

thanks for admitting it. :).
Acts 10 does not disprove Calvinism. It's actually irrelevant to the argument. My point is the 12 apostles were chosen, and the Eunuch, Paul, and Connelius were chosen. Jesus intervened on all these people. Every time Jesus intervenes, it is for a special purpose, and he chooses them, like Jesus chose Samson.

Your point? I showed Cornelius chosen by Jesus for salvation.

The angels came for all of Lot's family, not just for Lot. The angels always intended for Lot's wife to be saved. Therefore, there is at least one person whom angels visited and was not a saved (chosen) person.

read the account in Genesis 19, you'll read in verse 12 - Then the men said to Lot, “Have you anyone else here? Son-in-law, your sons, your daughters, and whomever you have in the city—take them out of this place!
The angels came for Lot, then asked Lot if there is more family. It was Lot they came for and Lot had to try and round up family, not the angels. Lot was the angel's mission. It was up to Lot to gather anyone else to go.

The fact remains that the intentions of the angels' visit was always to save all of Lot's family.

I was giving support to what you saying, Cornelius was Born again, one must be in order to receive the Gospel and believe it. It shows regeneration is necessary to believe the Gospel of ones Salvation, that the Gospel is sent to the saved to give them assurance of their Salvation.

Acts 10 shows that scripture is True, that the Just shall live by Faith, they will have the Gospel sent to them, and the Righteousness of God revealed to them Rom 1:16-17

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Now was Cornelius Just ? Acts 10:22

And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.

Now did Cornelius have Faith ? Yes, because He prayed to God obviously in Faith Acts 10:3-4

3 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.

4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.

Now for God to embrace His Prayers like that, he must #1 be righteous #2 pray in Faith James 1:5-7

5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord

God doesnt hear the prayers of sinners Jn 9 31

Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

See that ? Was Cornelius a worshipper of God ?

One more promise to the Just Prov 4:18

But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

Again was Cornelius Just ? Yes and thats who God sends the Light of the Gospel as a word of Salvation !

The Gospel is about Christ right?

Maybe not your gospel but THE Gospel is about Jesus Christ.

Those that care about their fellowman..................................... do what the Scriptures declare...

2Co 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

I know I know. You have no responsibilities to your fellowman..... right?

Paul said very clearly that he had "begotten" men through the Gospel.

1Co 4:15 For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.

Have you ever been a father through the Gospel?

Your point about Cornelius being Chosen is?????????

Your point about Cornelius being Chosen is?????????

Cornelius was a man of faith outside of national Israel. So was Ruth. Am I supposed to be amazed that the message of faith in God was extended beyond Abraham? Israel shared their faith with this entire world. Not all chose to become a proselyte. That message worked for them. Wise men came from the east....................... think... sons of Keturah.

Ultimately, I have an issue with those that claim to be "chosen". I often see them exalting themselves above Christ and relegating Christ to nothing more the means of their own promotion.

I hope you don't mind me questioning the idea that you're chosen..... After all. I've never seen you referenced anywhere by name. Christ was given a name which is above every name. You might want to stop talking about yourself. I would. I think that is good advice.

If you stop talking about yourself. Others might just start paying attention to Christ instead of you.

Where am I talking about myself?
