A Little Salvation story.

You do realize that before the common newspaper and /or printing press there we a great many people who never heard about Jesus... and I would bet about baptisms too.

How many people settling the earth that ended up a single family on a farm somewhere in the middle of nowhere
who heard nothing.

If they could not here, I do not believe they would be punished.

But it is those who have heard... including those other religions that mention Him but do not give Him the honor due that turn their backs... they are the ones I see in trouble and those who just dont care.
Would you like to realize something very simple . you probably already know it too .
I noticed in the days of paul and others
They went everywhere preaching the gospel . so far and widespread as others too would teach it
than even the men of ephesus said THESE WHO PREACH this and have turned the world upside down
have come thither too . And they sure didnt have newspapers or the printing press .
You would marvel at what they could do with such little technology .
And those who they preached too , they preached to others and those who they preached too
preached to others .
WE just live in a time wherein THIS IS rarely done anymore
and we cannot imagine how it can or could have been done . AND YET it was .
GOD is in control and there is none who he sees NOT .

Right.
But he's still an atheist !

OK.
Maybe our experiences are different.
Not going to spend time on this.
It would require looking up some statistics.

If they want to be with §God why do they make fun of Him?
Sorry, MT, I don't understand and it's not really important.

Did I say this?
Is Jesus God or not?
Paul spoke about God doing the judging.
Jesus IS the judge at the final judgment.
I don't see a contradition.
If we believe in God, we believe in Jesus.
It's JESUS that is the savior of the entire world and from the beginning of time.

Agreed.

Agreed.
I said we MUST BELIEVE IN GOD.

Agreed.

Not sure what anyone means by his.
Are you saying that everyone that never heard of Jesus is doomed to hell?

Have you read Romans chapters 1 and 2?

Initial salvation is received as you've stated above.

Does Jesus then require us to do good works or not?

Nothing else?
Is this what Jesus taught for over 3 years?
Nothing about our behavior or doing good?
Matthew was wrong in chapter 5 and chapter 25 and chapter 7?
Paul was wrong in stating that we will be judged according to our works? Romans 2:5-8

Sis....
A BELIEVER and a TRUE BELIEVER is the same.

The word TRUE does not change in any way the word BELIEVER.

If one believes, he's a believer.

If I'm dead, I'm dead... I don't have to add the word TRULY dead.
See what I mean??
I think we need to stop adding words to describe verbs that are self-explanatory.
I'm suspicious as to why people do this.
Then why did you add the word "True" to the word "Legalist"?

See? Even YOU do it.

Why don't you reply to my post no. 120 instead?

Unable to...
so we go to personal attacks instead.

Give it a try dwight.....
it would be good practice for you.

POST NO. 120

Try.

To GodsGrace,

Many may want to go to heaven, but that desire, in itself, will not get them there. Being saved will. Before anyone can "get to heaven", they must first "get to Jesus".

Our message should not be "How to get to heaven", but "How to get to Jesus".

Jesus said, " ... no one comes to the Father but through Me." John 14:6

That is both theology and life-saving truth, which really is the purpose of theology.

An angel said of Jesus, "He will save His people from their sins." Matthew 1:21

Paul said "For by grace you have been saved through faith ..." Ephesians 2:8.

When Jesus was born, the angel proclaimed to the shepherds, "for today in the city of David there has been born to you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." Luke 2:11

Peter said, "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12

What is the Kingdom of God? It is synonymous with "the kingdom of heaven", which is the term Matthew uses in his book. Since his primary audience was Jewish believers, he used the word "heaven" instead of "God", out of respect for their fear of using God's name in vain.

The Kingdom of God is not a place or an era of time, as some have equated it with the Millennium.

Rather it is those persons, both on earth and in heaven, who are subject to the will of God through our King Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit. These people acknowledge that His will is supreme both in the individual heart and in the community of His people, the body of Christ.

Being saved is synonymous with entering into the kingdom of God.

Jesus said, "Truly I say to you, unless you are converted (saved) and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven (or God."

He also said, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless on is born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God." John 3:3

and "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water (natural childbirth) and the Spirit he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God." verse 3:5

So, humbly repenting from our sins, and putting our faith in Jesus our King will save us. That is synonymous with being born again.

By the way, there's no honor in being ignorant of Bible theology. Theology and/or doctrine should not be disdained.

"All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17
