Promise #48:
I will heal your broken heart and mend all your wounds.

Psalm 147:3 (WEB)
He heals the broken in heart,
and binds up their wounds.

When we hurt, God's heart is full of compassion towards us. In 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, He is called the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort. When we are wounded, His desire is to bring healing to us. If you are struggling today with a broken heart, be comforted in knowing that your Heavenly Father understands everything that you are going through and wants to heal your broken heart.

In Psalm 103:13-14, the English Standard Version Bible it says... 13As a father shows compassion to his children, so the LORD shows compassion to those who fear him. 14For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust. (ESV)

When Jesus was moved with compassion, He healed the sick. When our Father is moved with compassion, He heals us too. My prayer today is that we would all know that we are not alone in our struggles, for our heavenly Father loves us with all His heart and His compassion will bring healing to every wounded area in our soul.

Promise #49:
I will bless you in times of mourning with My comfort.

Matthew 5:4 (WEB)
Blessed are those who mourn,
for they shall be comforted.

In Matthew 5, Jesus shares a kingdom message that we lovingly call The Beatitudes. In this section of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus reveals some of the values of His kingdom. Nine times He says that people are blessed in circumstances that would seem opposite to what the world system would see as blessed.

The Amplified Bible translates the word blessed that He uses as... (happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous--with life-joy and satisfaction in God's favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions). (AMP)

At some point or another, we will all suffer the loss of a loved one and we will need the comfort that comes from God alone. In today's promise, we read that when we mourn we will be blessed (from a kingdom perspective) with the comfort that comes only from God Himself. Psalm 34:18 says... Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. (WEB)

If you are going through a time of grieving right now, my prayer is that this promise would be very tangible to you. I pray that you would feel God's closeness to you as He carries you through this season of mourning.

Through it all, may you truly feel blessed by God despite your circumstances as described by the Amplified Bible... (happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous--with life-joy and satisfaction in God's favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions).

Promise #50:
You will find freedom wherever My Spirit dwells.

2 Corinthians 3:17 (WEB)
Now the Lord is the Spirit
and where the Spirit of the Lord is,
there is liberty.

God is completely free and He loves freedom. Galatians 5:1 says that it is for freedom's sake that Christ has set us free. In John 8:36, Jesus Himself speaks of the freedom He has for us when He said... If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. (WEB)

Wherever God lives, you will find freedom. If you are struggling with bondage today or are in controlling circumstances that hinder freedom, ask God to set you free! God's plan and purpose for us is to be free to live, free to serve, free to be generous, free to dream, free to be His beloved child...free, free, free!

My prayer today is that we would all experience a new level of freedom in our lives. Ask God for more freedom and believe in your heart that it is His desire to set you free... and watch what happens in your life!

Promise #51:
You can know and depend on the love I have for you.

1 John 4:16 (WEB)
We know and have believed the love which God has for us.
God is love, and he who remains in love
remains in God, and God remains in him.

There have been many times in my own life where I have struggled with circumstances and have not had any pat answers or quick solutions to my problems. In the midst of these seasons in my life, 1 John 4:16 has become really meaningful to me.

When all else fails, love will never fail. As the Apostle John tells us in today's promise... And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. (NIV)

Whatever challenge you are facing in your life today, you can know and depend on the love that God has for you. His love will comfort you, His love will sustain you, His love will carry you through any situation. May each one of us run into the arms of our God and Father today knowing that we can depend on His love to be enough for us no matter how difficult our journey.

God is love. He not only loves, but the very core of His being is unconditional, everlasting love for you and I. May the reality of this promise go deep into our hearts today so that we would learn to make our home living in the love that God has for us.

Promise #52:
You can trust in Me for I will never forsake you.

Psalm 9:10 (WEB)
Those who know your name will put their trust in you,
for you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you.

When we know who God is, it is easy to trust in Him. When we are convinced that He is loving and kind and gentle, we will be able to risk again and entrust our hearts fully to Him. If we are not yet convinced of His goodness, we will struggle to trust Him.

I believe that giving our Father the gift of our trust is the greatest gift that we can give Him. When we trust Him, we lower our defenses and open our hearts fully to Him. When we trust Him, we will not lean to our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6) but completely yield to His leading in our life. I believe when we begin to trust God in a simple childlike way, it moves His heart like nothing else that we can do.

In today's promise, we read that our God and Father will never, ever forsake those who trust in Him. He is unwavering in His commitment to us. He will never leave us or forsake us. For those of us who struggle with the fear of being abandoned, I pray that the reality of our Papa's goodness and closeness would drive all fear out of our hearts (1 John 4:18) so that we can fully trust Him.

Promise #54:
I hear you when you ask for anything according to My will.

1 John 5:14 (WEB)
This is the boldness which we have toward him, that,
if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.

In today's promise, the Apostle John encourages us to be confident in our prayer life. When we ask God for anything that is in accordance with His will, He hears us. Our Father is a good father who delights in giving His kids good gifts (James 1:17) and He is listening when we cry out to Him. I think we would be surprised at how attentive God really is to our prayers.

If our view of God is that He is harsh and a taskmaster, then we will probably feel like we could never do enough to get His attention. However, this is not the picture of God that Jesus painted while He was on earth. Everything that Jesus did was an exact representation of His Father (John 14:8-10).

Jesus even told us that His Dad took the time to number every one of the hairs on our head (Matthew 10:30) because of our great value to Him. So continue to ask, seek and knock. Remember, what Jesus told us in Matthew 7:7-11...

7 “Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. 8 For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or who is there among you, who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! Promise #59:
My promise of life is for you and your family.

Acts 2:39 (WEB)
For the promise is to you, and to your children,
and to all who are far off,
even as many as the Lord our God will call to himself.”

In Acts 1:4-5, Jesus told His disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit that His Father has promised to pour out on all flesh. In Acts 2:39, after the group of 120 were baptized in the Holy Spirit, Peter gets up and tells the people listening that this same promise of life is for all that are near and all that are far and for their entire families.

The Amplified Bible says Acts 2:39 this way... For the promise [of the Holy Spirit] is to and for you and your children, and to and for all that are far away, [even] to and for as many as the Lord our God invites and bids to come to Himself. (AMP)

God's heart is not only to pour out His precious Spirit on us, but on our children as well. If you have family members who are not yet experiencing the reality of this promise in their lives, don't give up! Keep praying! Keep believing for their salvation. Our God and Father's desire is that not one person would miss out on the glorious benefits of His promised Holy Spirit.

Promise #60:
The earth belongs to Me and all that is in it.

Psalm 24:1 (WEB)
The earth is Yahweh’s, with its fullness;
the world, and those who dwell therein.

When everything seems to be spinning out of control, it is comforting to remember this promise. When the economy is shaking and fear rises up in people's hearts around you, it is reassuring to meditate on the bigness of our God. The New International Version translation of Psalm 24:1 says it this way... The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; (NIV)

Simply put, God is sovereign. He is on the throne and all of the earth and everything in it belongs to Him. Our adversary may be called the prince of the power of the air, but he is NOT the Lord over heaven and earth. Our God and Father reigns over all and our Elder Brother will be forever known as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

My prayer today is that we would all be comforted in knowing that our Heavenly Dad is the biggest, strongest, most loving Dad there is in the universe! The entire earth and all that is in it belongs to Him. If you have a chance to watch a 12 minute video that boasts about the bigness of your Heavenly Father, watch The Best Dad In The Universe video. It will definitely remind you just how BIG your Dad is!

My love anoints you.

Psalm 23:5
You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. NLT

I want you to awaken to the royal standing you have in My Kingdom today. You are not a servant, you are not a slave, but you are My beloved heir. And you are also a joint heir with Jesus, the author and the perfecter of your faith.

All heaven knows this to be true. All heaven acknowledges your birthright as an heir of salvation. For you have been sealed by My Spirit as a deposit to guarantee your inheritance and you have been anointed with My oil of joy.

So rejoice little one in the midst of any hardships you might face today. For I have prepared a feast for you in the presence of your enemies and I will fill your cup to overflowing with My blessings.

Promise #62:
The grass will dry up and flowers will fail but My Word will endure forever.

1 Peter 1:24-25 (WEB)
24 For, “All flesh is like grass, and all of man’s glory like the flower in the grass.
The grass withers, and its flower falls; 25 but the Lord’s word endures forever.”
This is the word of Good News which was preached to you.

Everything around us is temporal. The grass of the fields may look beautiful today but they will not remain that way for long. Our homes, our material goods, our jobs... are all temporal. It is amazing how much time and energy we spend on things of this earth that will not last even for 100 years let alone forever.

What will abide for all eternity is the Word that is spoken directly from our God and Father. The Greek word used in 1 Peter 1:24-25 is 'rhema' which is defined by the Strong's Concordance as that which is or has been uttered by the living voice, thing spoken, word.

In Matthew 4:4 we read the following words... Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ (NIV) Jesus uses the same Greek word 'rhema' in this context as well.

My prayer today is that each and every one of us would be comforted in knowing that our God and Father is still speaking today and His Word is alive and will endure forever! We can rest in and rely on the goodness of His Word for us right now and for all eternity!

Promise #63:
Though the mountains vanish, My unending love will never leave you.

Isaiah 54:10 (WEB)
For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed;
but my loving kindness shall not depart from you,
neither shall my covenant of peace be removed,”
says Yahweh who has mercy on you.

I like how the New International Version Bible translates Isaiah 54:10... Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you. (NIV)

Nothing will ever shake the unending, eternal love that God has for you. The mountains will vanish away and the hills will be removed before His heart for you changes. No matter what you are going through in your life, His love for you is constant. And that is because God can only love at one intensity... and that is with ALL His heart! Jesus told us that His Father loves us the same way that He loves Him (John 17:23).

There may be wars and rumors of wars. There may be upturns and downturns in the economy. But no matter what happens in your life, the unending love of God will never leave you. My prayer today is that the relentless, endless, intense love of your heavenly Father will sweep over your heart so that you can echo the words that the Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 8:38-39...

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (WEB)

Promise #64:
I have called you out of darkness into My glorious light.

1 Peter 2:9 (WEB)
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation,
a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence
of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:

I love how all of the letters in the New Testament speak of our old life as being in the past tense. We are no longer sinners, but are now sons and daughters. We no longer live in darkness, but we have been called into the glorious light and love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In today's Scripture verse, the Apostle Peter reminds us that we are a chosen generation and a royal priesthood set apart by God Himself. We no longer live in darkness for we are children of the light. My question in today's blog is... Do we believe that we are living in the light of God right now?

In Revelation 12:10, John describes the devil as 'the accuser of the brethren'. He is the father of lies and he will do everything he can do try and convince us that we still live in darkness (John 8:44). While we still live in a fallen world filled with darkness, we ourselves are children of the light. We are a new creation now. The old has passed away and all things are new! (2 Corinthians 5:17)

May each and every one of us take our rightful place as sons and daughters to our Heavenly Father, appropriating the shed blood of the Lamb of God so that we can fulfill our destiny as His kids and walk in the light as He is in the light... for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. Ephesians 5:8 (ESV)

Promise #65:
I have chosen the weak things of this world to confound the strong.

1 Corinthians 1:27 (WEB)
but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise.
God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put to shame the things that are strong;

I don't know how you feel about today's promise, but when I read it, it puts a smile on my face. The thought that God has chosen the weak things of the world is very good news for me. In the broader excerpt of this passage found in 1 Corinthians 1:26-31, we read how God has not only chosen the weak things to confound the strong, He has chosen the poor to confuse the rich and the foolish things of the world to shame the wise.

The reason why I think this promise is such good news is that I believe that most of humanity falls within one of these categories... weak, poor or foolish. Jesus Himself told us that He did not come for the healthy (spiritually) but for the sick. If you take time to read the Beatitudes in Matthew 5:1-12, you will read that the gospel is really good news for those who are not naturally considered 'top of the food chain'.

This is not to negate the rich, the strong and the wise, but it is definitely a way where Jesus elevates the poor, the foolish and the weak to
the level playing field of the cross. Since we live in an upside down kingdom where the first will be last and the last will be first, let us always be reminded that when we are weak, His strength is perfected in us. (2 Corinthians 12:1-10).

Promise #66:
I delight to reveal My kingdom to those with a childlike heart.

Matthew 11:25-26
25 At that time, Jesus answered, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth,
that you hid these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to infants.
26 Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in your sight.

In today's promise, we read how Jesus delightfully declares that the mysteries of the kingdom are actually hidden from the wise and prudent and revealed to little children. I especially like how the Amplified Bible translates this passage of Scripture...

Matthew 11:25-26... 25At that time Jesus began to say, I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth [and I acknowledge openly and joyfully to Your honor], that You have hidden these things from the wise and clever and learned, and revealed them to babies [to the childish, untaught, and unskilled]. (AMP)

To further illustrate this truth, I would encourage you to read Matthew 18:1-4. In this passage of Scripture, the disciples were arguing about who would be the greatest in the kingdom. I can't imagine how surprised they would have been when Jesus called out a little child as an example of one whom He considered to be great in His kingdom.

Jesus does not call us to be childish, but He does call us to be childlike. Little children live a completely dependent life. They know they are small and they carry within their little bodies a humility that causes them to trust completely in their parents' care. The more that we can see the incredible value in having a childlike heart towards our Heavenly Father, the more we will be able to grasp the mysteries of our Papa's amazing kingdom.

Promise #67:
I have brought you close through the blood of Christ.

Ephesians 2:13 (WEB)
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off
are made near in the blood of Christ.

The book of Ephesians is one of my favorite books in the Bible. In chapter 2, the Apostle Paul reminds us how we have been made alive in Christ. I love the fact that he speaks of our old life in the past tense, telling us that we are now alive in Christ.

In today's promise found in Ephesians 2:13, we read that those who were once far away have now been brought close to God through the blood of Jesus. There is no separation between us and God any longer! What Jesus secured for each one of us on the cross is an intimacy with God that can never be taken away from us.

The enemy of our soul may try to convince us that our sin still keeps us separate from God, but praise God that there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus! (Romans 8:1)

My prayer today is that each one of us would have eyes to see this profound yet simple truth... Our God and Father has brought us close to His heart through the shed blood of His Son and nothing will ever be able to separate us from His love in Christ Jesus our Lord! (Romans 8:38-39)

Promise #68:
Your old life is dead and your new life is hid with Christ in Me.

Colossians 3:3 (WEB)
For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

The reality for everyone who has received the free gift of eternal life is that their old life is passed away and everything has become new in Christ. To better appreciate today's promise, I think we should read Colossians 3:1-3 from the English Standard Version...

1If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. 3For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. (ESV)

This passage of Scripture clearly tells of the royal position that every believer has in Christ, seated at the right hand of God. I do not believe that this just an idealistic picture that Paul wanted to paint, but it is a spiritual reality right now. Our Elder Brother Jesus, actually sits at the right hand of our Father in heaven, and because we are joined with Jesus, we are seated there too!

Without revelation that comes from the Holy Spirit, the spiritual reality of today's promise is much more than we can comprehend with our natural mind. How can we see ourselves as hid in Christ, seated at the right hand of God with our human understanding? It is far too great a promise for us to grasp without the power of the Holy Spirit to make this real to us!

So my prayer today is that the reality of our spiritual position in Christ would become more real to us than it has ever been before. Holy Spirit, would you come and help us grasp this amazing truth? We want to see with our spiritual eyes today and comprehend every great and precious promise that comes from the throne of our God and Father through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Promise #70:
I have blessed you in Christ with every heavenly blessing.

Ephesians 1:3 (WEB)
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ;

I had the personal privilege of receiving my earthly father's blessing before he died. It was a real honor for me to receive such a blessing from my own dad and I am keenly aware that many people have not shared the same experience with their own earthly fathers. Some may have even felt cheated out of their father's blessing similar to how Esau felt when his brother Jacob cheated him out of the blessing. (You can read the story in Genesis 27).

But the truth is that our God and Father made a way through the cross of Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:13-14) for each and every one of us to experience every heavenly blessing there is! Today's promise from Ephesians 1:3 says that you and I have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. Every blessing that there is in heaven is yours because of what Jesus did!

We do not have to feel cheated out of any earthly blessing because we have a Heavenly Dad who has more than made up for our lack of blessings on earth, by showering us with His own blessings straight from heaven. We are not orphans, trying to struggle through this life, but we are part of the greatest family ever because God is our Father and Jesus is our Elder Brother. Because of our rich inheritance, we have been blessed in Christ with every heavenly blessing there is! Hallelujah!

Promise #71:
Commit all that you do to Me and your plans will be successful.

Proverbs 16:3 (WEB)
Commit your deeds to Yahweh,
and your plans shall succeed.

Proverbs 16:3 in the Amplified Bible says this... Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed. (AMP) The NIV Bible says that God will establish your plans when you commit all that you do to the Lord.

To commit all that we do to the Lord does require a huge level of trust in Him. Trust that He is looking after our best interests and trust that we do not have to manage our life on our own. When we are convinced that our God and Father is indeed trustworthy, we will have the courage to entrust Him with our lives and rest in the outworking of His plan for us.

Jeremiah 29:11 tells us that God's heart for us is to give us a hope and a future. He is a good God and Father who gives good gifts to His kids (James 1:17) My prayer today is that you and I would know this through and through and would be able to commit everything we do into His loving care.

As we are able to let go and let God, we will see our plans established in the way that our Heavenly Dad has intended. May we all experience the kind of success that God has planned for us that is measured from a Kingdom perspective.
