I'm American...moved here about 25 years ago.
Been on forums about 10 years or more.
One of your members told me about this site on another forum.
Looks nice. I hope there's some moderating so we behave ourselves!

We expect everyone to act like adults and follow the golden rule- we tend to be a little more lenient here and give people some rope and time to acclimate. But please report anyone who you feel needs it. I personally do not moderate as I like to interact with everyone so I leave that up to the moderators and rarely step in unless asked. There is a section I wrote when we opened the forum about our philosophy. Take a look and let me know what you think. I wrote this for our @Administrator to post. He made all of this happen as I'm not a technical guy and he is with the forum and getting it online and running. I'm more of a theology geek not a computer geek. :)

We not only believe in the Constitution and the founders freedom of speech and assembling together but we believe in your freedom to think and believe differently as well.

You do not have to believe like us and can disagree with me all you want and never have to worry about retaliation, censorship, banning...

Acts 17:11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

1 Peter 3:15 But in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give a defense to everyone who asks you the reason for the hope that is in you. But respond with gentleness and respect

Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, So one person sharpens another.

Civic, you sound like the owner. Nice to meet you.
I don't report persons...I expect the same as what you've stated above...but some members could be pretty rough
and it makes it difficult to have a conversation - I just stop posting to this type of person.
Your admin also sounds like your tech guy...kudos to him, he does all the hard work!
Looking forward to posting...but...right now it's dinner time in Italy!
