He is firstborn from the dead, he as well is the firstborn of all creation. Creation occurred at the beginning, then God rested and is still resting.
Since Col 1:16 is clear that GOD created all things-THROUGH Jesus, thus Jesus is not the source of creation-YHVH(Jehovah) the only true God is. Your translation is erred to mislead.

now this, Revelation 21:5 "And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful."
Now, is the ONE sitting on the Throne in Revelation 21:5 here is the same one who creates the new heavens and new earth in Isaiah 66:22. THINK LONG AND HARD BEFORE YOU ANSWER. ...... (smile).

Yes Jehovah speaks at Rev 21-- At the conclusion of Rev 20, i believe this occurs-1Cor 15:24-28--Jesus hands back the kingdom to his God and Father and subjects himself. During Jesus' 1000 year reign, all things made back to perfection=new earth, new heavens. Which starts rev 21. All the wicked are destroyed in Rev 20 including death and Hades(grave).
