Things that accompany Christ

A True Knowledge of God in Christ comes with Christs Death, its a Covenant Death,

Heb 8:11

11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

Jesus was speaking as the Covenant Surety when He spake here Jn 17:2-3

2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

No such thing as a death covenant

Understanding the giving of Christ is an New Covenant Blessing, and with Him God gives us all things Rom 8:32

32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
God will give with Christ New Covenant Blessings, like a New Heart Ezk 36:26

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

In fact all the Spiritual Blessings needed to cause a life of godliness, come in and through Christ, with Him 2 Pet 1:3-4

3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises[Of the New Covenant]: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Understanding the giving of Christ is an New Covenant Blessing, and with Him God gives us all things: They are unconditionally applied unto all for whom He died

Heb 8:10-12

10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Pardon of sin or forgiveness of sin is one of the spiritual blessings freely given with Christ. Rom 8:32

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Now the words freely give in the original χαρίζομαι:
to do something pleasant or agreeable (to one), to do a favour to, gratify

  1. to show one's self gracious, kind, benevolent
  2. to grant forgiveness, to pardon

So if we are one of the "us all" He was delivered up for, or in behalf of, we will with Him receive to our account legally forgiveness of sins, freely bestowed.

its the same word Paul used here in the matter of forgivenss for the sake of Christ Eph 4:32

32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

So Jesus is exalted to give it along with repentance Acts 5:31

31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

Frankly, its impossible for Christ to have died for someone and they dont have forgivenss of sins with God

Another blessing which comes with or accompanies Christ, His Death,

Its to be washed from our sins Rev 1:5

5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
Was this b4 we believed ? Yes most definitely. Did He love us b4 we believed ? He sure did.

The word washed is an aorist verb participle denoting normally past tense, its a finished work and it means:

luó: To loose, to release, to dissolve, to break, to destroy

basically by His blood He has loosed us from the penalty and power of sin

to release one bound by the chains of sin, ἐκ τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν, Revelation 1:5

Revelation 1:5 celebrates the fruit of that victory: Jesus Christ “loved us and released us from our sins by His blood”. The shedding of blood effects a permanent emancipation. https://biblehub.com/greek/3089.htm

Im remined of Jesus words here Jn 8:34-36

34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Also Hebrews 1:3

3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

These things are freely given us with Christ Death for us Rom 8:32

32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Its not possible for any sinner Christ loved and gave Himself for, not to be washed from their sins, loosed from them.

Another thing that accompanied the Death of Christ, righteousness is imputed to them He died for, its an exchange Paul teaches here 2 Cor 5:21

21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that[so that] we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

His being made sin for us made us to be righteous in Gods sight, because He purged our sins away Heb 1:3

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Now a scripture that collaborates this is Rom 5:19

For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

See His one obedience, obedience unto death Phil 2:5 purged our sins and constituted us righteous.

This is automatic at the Cross when and where He died for our sins imputed to Him.

Now everyone He died for and was made righteous, they will believe at Gods appointed time

Sin is not purged until one has faith

Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

Rom 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

Acts 13:38–39 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Rom 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
.
Acts 15:9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

It brings us [if elect] to God !

1 Pet 3:18

18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

Being brought to God is a Salvation conversion experience. Now that is one of the objectives God had in Christ dying for the elect. His once suffered for sins means His death, for the unjust elect sinners, in order that, effect of purpose, that the unjust elect will be converted to God.

Now bring us to God in the original prosagō:
  1. to lead, to bring
    1. to open a way of access, for one to God
      1. to render one acceptable to God
    2. in a forensic sense, to summon (to trial or punishment)
  2. to draw near to, approach

He gives us approach and access to God. for instance,

to open a way of access, τινα τῷ Θεῷ, for (A. V. to bring) one to God, i. e. to render one acceptable to God and assured of his grace (a figure borrowed from those who secure for one the privilege of an interview with the sovereign),

Rom 5:1-2

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 ;by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God

This access by Faith into this grace is an effect of Christ dying for our sins

Another scripture Eph 3:12

12 in whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

Again His death gained us access to God with confidence by God given Faith

Now we know all mankind doesn't have this kind of access by Faith, hence its obvious Christ didn't die for all mankind, lest Gods purpose for His death hath failed

Sin is not purged until one has faith
False Heb 1:3

3 who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

False Heb 1:3

3 who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Before leaping to ill-fated conclusions about Hebrews 1:3, you just need to continue reading and take in the flow of the entire Book of Hebrews.

Hebrews 2:1–3 warns believers not to “drift away” and asks how anyone will escape if they “neglect so great a salvation,” language that presumes the benefit can be forfeited or never appropriated.

Hebrews 3:18–19 explicitly states that some were barred from entering God’s rest “because of unbelief,” directly tying exclusion to lack of faith rather than to any deficiency in Christ’s work.

Hebrews 4:2 explains that the preached word “did not profit them, not being mixed with faith,” thereby showing that divine provision without faith yields no experiential benefit

So when Hebrews 1:3 proclaims that the Son accomplished purification of sins, the surrounding context clarifies that this purification is objectively accomplished by Christ yet subjectively realized only by those who believe, not an indiscriminate cleansing automatically applied to every person regardless of faith.

So next time don't be so amateurish when you cease to read further. This will stop you from leaping to ill-fated conclusions about any verse, not just Heb 1:3.

False Heb 1:3

3 who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
The our's were believers.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
Heb 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

Rom 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

Acts 15:9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

Why is it that your interpretations are contradictory with so many verses of scripture?

Yep Jesus died for all the sins of the entire world- John 3:16 cf 1 John 2:1-2. The same world, the same sins the atonement provided for all people, all mankind, everyone.

hope this helps !!!

The Golden Rule of Interpretation

“When the plain sense of Scripture makes common sense, seek no other sense; therefore, take every word at its primary, ordinary, usual, literal meaning unless the facts of the immediate context, studied in the light of related passages and axiomatic and fundamental truths, indicate clearly otherwise.”–Dr. David L. Cooper (1886-1965),founder of The Biblical Research Society

These Greek Lexicons affirm world means all, everyone, the whole world without exception.

William Arndt et al., A Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament and Other Early Christian Literature : A Translation and Adaption of the Fourth Revised and Augmented Edition of Walter Bauer’s Griechisch-Deutsches Worterbuch Zu Den Schrift En Des Neuen Testaments Und Der Ubrigen Urchristlichen Literatur (Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 1979), 446.

1 John 2:2-He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

1 John 2:15-17
-Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

1 John 4:3-6- but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 5 They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. 6 We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.

1 John 4:14- And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world

1 John 5:19
- We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

Now its very clear from the Lexicon definition and in 1 John that the cosmos/world does not mean Gods elect (that is Calvinism) not what John means in his epistle. It clearly means everyone with no exceptions in this world, all of its inhabitants who make up the ungodly multitude. It is clearly all inclusive of everyone, all, the entire world that lies under the evil one in opposition to God from the context of 1 John.

Only someone with a closed mind trapped in their dogma/doctrine would argue otherwise resulting in eisegesis( reading their own ideas into the text) rather than exegesis ( letting the text dictate ones ideas ).

We see above that the whole world lies under the evil one and its that same identical whole world in 1 John 2:2 that Jesus made PROPITIATION for which is clear from the CONTEXT in 1 John.

So if the above truth from 1 John 2:2 which is clear as to the biblical meaning is all inclusive not exclusive ( Gods elect Jew/Gentiles) which comes from ones dogma/doctrine ( calvinism) and not Scripture and specifically in 1 John.

I'm all about the TRUTH never dogma, never the doctrines of men, never to win friends, but to only uphold the Truth in Gods word from its context. And the context here is in clear opposition to the teaching of Calvinsm in 1 John. World NEVER means Jew/Gentiles in the epistle but means all of the inhabitants of the world /cosmos who are ungodly , where the lust of the flesh, the pride of life and the lust of the eyes come from and the god of this world the evil one the spirit of antichrist , the spirit of falsehoods rules and reigns in all of those inhabitants in opposition to God.

Its that world whom Christ made propitiation.

hope this helps !!!
