There is only one Gospel

The gospel is, broadly speaking, the whole of Scripture; more narrowly, the gospel is the good news concerning Christ and the way of salvation.
Is that the only "good news" (gospel) in Scripture? Isn't the good news that Mary would have a son who was to be "Holy" and King of Israel count as "gospel"? Or how about the young shepherd named David? Samuel prophesied that he would be king in Israel. Isn't that the good news of David? Hannah can also claim "good news" from God after being promised a son after years of barrenness. Isn't that "good news" for her? I can go on.

We are so hung up on Jesus and rightly so, but God has given many men, women, and others some "good news" in the lives of those who serve Him it can read like a "Good News" Hall of Faith narrative that many of God's people can claim to have. And what about you? Any "good news" (gospel) stories in your life? Isn't every born-again believer who is called to meet the God of Abraham have some level of "good news" to share in their personal testimonies? We can call it the "good news" of Lions Mane. Just one of the millions of gospels out there in Christendom. With every salvation comes another "good news" story, don't you think?

The gospel is, broadly speaking, the whole of Scripture; more narrowly, the gospel is the good news concerning Christ and the way of salvation.
1 Corinthians 15:1–4 (NASB 95) — 1 Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. 3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

The truth of the gospel is one and unchanging.

In Galatians 1:6–10, we see that there is only one gospel. We can now elaborate and say that the whole New Testament presents this one gospel consistently. It is fashionable in some quarters to talk about the ‘Pauline’ gospel and the ‘Petrine’ gospel and the ‘Johannine’ gospel, as if they were quite different from one another. Some people refer to ‘Paulinism’, as if it were a distinctive brand of Christianity, even a different religion altogether. And sometimes people set Paul and James over against each other as if they contradicted each other.

But all this is mistaken. The apostles of Jesus Christ do not contradict one another in the New Testament. Certainly, there are differences of style between them, because their inspiration did not obliterate their individual personality. There are also differences of emphasis, because they were called to different spheres and preached or wrote to different audiences.

Consequently, they stressed different aspects of the gospel. For example, Paul was writing against legalists and James against antinomians. But they complement one another. There is only one gospel, the apostolic faith, a recognizable body of doctrine taught by the apostles of Jesus Christ and preserved for us in the New Testament. Paul is at pains in this passage to show that he was in full agreement with the Jerusalem apostles and they with him. He makes the same point in 1 Corinthians 15:11: ‘whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.’ There is only one New Testament gospel, only one Christianity; there are not several different legitimate alternatives.

It is still so today. If there is only one gospel in the New Testament, there is only one gospel for the church. The gospel has not changed with the changing centuries. Whether it is preached to young or old, to east or west, to Jews or Gentiles, to cultured or uncultured, to scientists or non-scientists, although its presentation may vary, its substance is the same. Paul and Peter had a different commission, but they had a common message.

The Message of Galatians: Only One Way

Disagree. There is more than just one gospel. There are countless gospels. The word itself should serve as guide in describing "gospel" in Scripture. The word means "good news", and we see in Scripture many "good news" stories of the many characters and persons in the Bible.

Yet there is but one gospel by which men may be saved.
That is where we rest our hope.

The concept of rest in the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a profound theological idea that signifies the spiritual peace and assurance believers find through faith in Jesus Christ. It encompasses the cessation of striving for salvation through works and the embrace of the grace and redemption offered by Christ.

This rest is both a present reality and a future promise, reflecting the believer's trust in Christ's finished work on the cross and the hope of eternal rest in His presence. The concept of rest in Christ is rooted in several key biblical passages, including Matthew 11:28, which invites all who are weary and burdened to come to Him for rest. This invitation highlights the personal and relational aspect of rest, where Jesus Himself is the source of true peace and relief from the burdens of life.

The Epistle to the Hebrews further elaborates on this theme, drawing a parallel between the rest promised to the Israelites in the Promised Land and the spiritual rest available to believers through Christ.

Hebrews 4:9-10 states, "So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For whoever enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from His."

This passage underscores the cessation of self-effort in achieving righteousness, emphasizing reliance on Christ's completed work. Rest in Christ is central to the doctrine of salvation by grace through faith, offering a profound sense of peace and security in one's relationship with God.

Yet there is but one gospel by which men may be saved.
There would be no "one gospel" had there not been one covenant, which is 'good news' for Abraham and his seed.
It all begins with him. And as we look behind us, we see there would be no Savior had there not been a covenant which promised one.

The good news of the Abrahamic Covenant.
7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. Genesis 17:7.

The good news of the Mosaic Covenant.
15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; Deuteronomy 18:15.

18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. Deuteronomy 18:18.

The good news of the New Covenant.
26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Matthew 26:26–28.

Good news for the Hebrew people and seed of Abraham; not so good news for Gentiles.

You missed a key point.

Gal 3:7–9 Therefore, be sure that it is those who are of faith who are sons of Abraham. The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “All the nations will be blessed in you.” So then those who are of faith are blessed with Abraham, the believer.

Gal 3:26–29For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise.
Rom 4:16–17For this reason it is by faith, in order that it may be in accordance with grace, so that the promise will be guaranteed to all the descendants, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all, (as it is written, “A father of many nations have I made you”) in the presence of Him whom he believed, even God, who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist.

God saves us from the condemnation of sin and this occurred at the moment of conversion, when we believed God’s testimony concerning the gospel and it was reckoned to us as righteousness. Scripture commonly refers to this as justification.

In the future, we will be saved completely and eternally from the power and presence of sin. This final stage is commonly known as glorification and is as certain as the others because He who began a good work in us will perfect it
It saddens me that no one responded to your post, Apain. I don't know if anyone even agreed with you or not. But I don't and I'll show you why. It is a false doctrine to say we are only delivered from the condemnation of sin at justification and not from sin itself. Righteousness is not given to us while we are still committing sins unto death, called "lawlessness." See 1 John 3:4-5 in the context of 4-9

4 Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. 5 And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. 6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.

7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. 8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

I didn't miss the point.

To believe that non-Hebrew Gentiles are included in the Hebrew covenants is to teach a break with the Old Testament Scripture and this in and of itself would violate biblical hermeneutics. God is consistent. He began with Abram, a man from the family of Eber, and promised him several things that only God can grant and these promises would be extended to Abram's biological seed. That's the Abraham Covenant found described in Genesis 12, 15, and 17. After Abraham's seed multiplied they came under physical bondage of slavery in Egypt. True to His word God remembered His promises to Abraham and sent a deliverer, a man from the tribe of Levi to be used to bring the seed of Abraham out of bondage and into their own land. While this people were delivered out of Egypt God led His people to the foot of Mount Sinai and there promised this great people numbering over 3 million souls to send a "prophet like unto Moses" that would be a person that would defeat all their enemies, including the one enemy above all enemies - [sin and] death. This Person was revealed to be a descendant of David who would sit on his throne and shepherd the Hebrew people forever into eternity. This person as we know as Jesus bar Joseph, the Messiah/Christ. Jesus came in fulfillment of the Mosaic Covenant and the Law of God. He established a New Covenant for the Hebrew people in His blood and did this in fulfillment of over 300 prophecies in the Old Testament. Thus we have three Hebrew covenants with God and the Hebrew people and each one builds on the last, and each one a covenant between the God of Abraham and the seed born from Abraham.
And none of these three covenants include non-Hebrew Gentiles.

I didn't miss the point.

Yes, I have read of a New Covenant. It's prophesied by Israel's prophet Jeremiah and is located here in the Old Testament:

31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD,
That I will make a new covenant
With the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers
In the day that I took them by the hand
To bring them out of the land of Egypt;
Which my covenant they brake,
Although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel;
After those days, saith the LORD,
I will put my law in their inward parts,
And write it in their hearts;
And will be their God,
And they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying,
Know the LORD:
For they shall all know me,
From the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD:
For I will forgive their iniquity,
And I will remember their sin no more.
Jeremiah 31:31–34.

As you can see it is a New Covenant between God and the ten northern kingdom tribes of the House of Israel, and the two southern kingdom tribes of the House of Judah. This prophecy makes no mention of Gentiles included in this covenant.

The New Covenant is initiated by Israel's Mesiah, Lord, and King at His last Passover before He died:

14 And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.
15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:
16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:
18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.
19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
Luke 22:14–20.

Jesus is surrounded by His twelve disciples, all of whom are Israelites (Jewish men.) He clearly states this covenant is between Him and these twelve disciples who represent the twelve tribes of Israel. There are no Gentiles mentioned as being here with Jesus when He said, "for you", meaning these twelve Jewish men who represent the twelve tribes of Israel.
Notice also the "kingdom of God" is a Jewish kingdom. This Passover meal is a Jewish meal and there are no Gentiles included in this observation of the Passover meal commanded to Israel while they were in bondage in Egypt. The next morning God delivers the Hebrew nation out of bondage through their lawgiver, Moses. Everything about this Passover meal is Jewish including the participants.

That's all I am going to say as I have provided the Scripture on this New Covenant and everything done here was for the redemption of the Hebrew people from all their enemies including sin and death.
Any interpretation of Scripture that seeks to include Gentiles in this New Covenant is false interpretation of the Word of God.
You don't want to accept this, but this is the Word of God as written. I have proved my point.
I will not repeat myself and will leave this thread and these comments.

Gen 22:18 In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”
There are four possibilities concerning what or who these Gentiles are.

1. The word was added to the text manuscripts by Gentiles who knew they were never part of God's covenants with the Hebrew people. It was Gentiles that gathered the scrolls and made a "New Testament."

2. The writers of the letters added Gentiles, and this means that they are teaching that Jesus did not fulfill the Law but changed it.

3. The identity of Gentiles are not understood. They cannot mean "non-Hebrew (Gentiles)" for there are no non-Hebrews in any of the three salvation covenants between God and the Hebrew people, beginning with Abram who was Hebrew.

4. Your interpretation is in error ((see #3.)

5 You reject the word of God both the Old and New Testament words.

You ignored all the verses which include the gentiles

Gal 3:7–9 Therefore, be sure that it is those who are of faith who are sons of Abraham. The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “All the nations will be blessed in you.” So then those who are of faith are blessed with Abraham, the believer.

Gal 3:26–29 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

Acts 13:47For so the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have appointed you to be a light for the Gentiles, that you would bring salvation to the end of the earth.

Acts 28:28Therefore let it be known to you that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles. They also will listen!”

Rom 1:16For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

Gal 3:8And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, proclaimed the good news in advance to Abraham: “In you all the nations will be blessed.”

You also ignore facts found in the Old Testament.

I can tell you're not a critical thinker.
The Old Testament tells you something doesn't exist and you use the New Testament to wash it all away without trying to reasonably understand what the Old Testament is saying, or in this instance, what it is NOT saying, and that is there is no non-Hebrew Gentiles in the New Covenant founded in the blood of Jesus Christ.
But that's OK. God does that to trip people up for only those that are true to His Word live by His Word.
And this is not you.

Saul said of the Old Testament:

16 All [Old Testament] scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3:16–17.

The Old Testament is there to CORRECT you, but you refuse to be corrected.
The Old Testament is there to bring reproof to you, but you reject its counsel.
The Old Testament is there for doctrine, but you refuse to receive what it says.
The Old Testament is there for instruction in righteousness, but you choose your own righteousness instead of the Lord's.
You are "right" in your own eyes.
And this is your leaning on your own understanding in the vanity of your mind.
This is where I say...
Later, dude.

That is an absurd argument

Are you telling me

All [New Testament] scripture is Not given by inspiration of God, and is Not profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

The New Testament is there to CORRECT you, but you refuse to be corrected.
The New Testament is there to bring reproof to you, but you reject its counsel.
The New Testament is there for doctrine, but you refuse to receive what it says.
The New Testament is there for instruction in righteousness, but you choose your own righteousness instead of the Lord's.

You state

You are "right" in your own eyes while ignoring multiple New Testament verses and some Old Testament verses as well

You ignored all the verses which include the gentiles

Isa 49:6He says, “It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant To raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also make You a light of the nations So that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”
Isaiah 56:4–7 (NASB 95) — 4 For thus says the LORD, “To the eunuchs who keep My sabbaths, And choose what pleases Me, And hold fast My covenant, 5 To them I will give in My house and within My walls a memorial, And a name better than that of sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name which will not be cut off. 6 “Also the foreigners who join themselves to the LORD, To minister to Him, and to love the name of the LORD, To be His servants, every one who keeps from profaning the sabbath And holds fast My covenant; 7 Even those I will bring to My holy mountain And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be acceptable on My altar; For My house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples.”

Ps 67:2That Your way may be known on the earth, Your salvation among all nations.

Bottomline, You have ignored verse after verse in both the Old and New Testaments.
