The father of eternity

Isaiah 9:6 (UASV) — 6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government will be upon his shoulder, and his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

This reference to Christ calls him the eternal father

or the father of eternity

either way he is eternal and another Unitarian doctrine denying the externality of Christ goes up in smoke

as a matter of fact the ONLY ONE who is ETERNAL..... 1 Timothy 6:14 "That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:" 1 Timothy 6:15 "Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;" 1 Timothy 6:16 "Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen."

and "Only" means, "and no one or nothing more besides; solely or exclusively". this bible is just getting smaller and smaller.

Isaiah 9:6–7 (ESV) — 6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.

Let me share with you and our readers two reflections, TomL.

  1. Trinitarians do not believe that Christ is The Father. So I don't understand why they would use this verse in support of the deity of Jesus.
  2. Thousands of Hebrew babies had names that referred to God. All names beginning with "Je-" "Ja-" or ending in "-El", for example. That doesn't mean they were God.

@Runningman will claim the Trinitarians changed אֵל
Do you deny the Johannine Comma is one of the most famous Trinitarian forgeries? It's known in the secular world as well.

Question... why do you open your religion up to further attention to its flaws? You do realize that the Bible being changed by Trinitarians is a pretty major study in and of itself right? There is a lot of material on this subject. Of course, you wouldn't know since you seem to be anti-research.

UM modern versions do not include it

Having concluded it was not part of the original text, they dropped it

No. It isn't. It is my textual critic position that most variances come from removing content. Not adding. There are excepts but they are generally associated with lesser distributed manuscripts.

Tell me, how do you add content to a manuscript that is already in circulation and well known to society?

Besides, you've already proven that English is not your primary language. You have already proven you don't know Greek or Hebrew. You have also proven that you're posting AI and Google search returns for your answers. You certainly don't know anything about textual criticism much less canonicity. You don't know how to judge much of anything yourself.

You should quit trying to teach others and spend many years learning before you try to teach someone again. Plus, teaching is a gift.

It is a silly argument. Men fabricate nonsense such as this all the time. I don't need the so called "Johannine Comma" to prove anything. In fact, you can't quote me using it.

Why are you falsely accusing me?

Correct they do not include it. So you confess it was a blatant addition to the Holy Writ Scripture. This wasn't a Scribal error, a fudge of a letter here and there, No. They flat out tried to bolster Logos theology because the Bible is practically barren of any good proof texts for it. The wrote in an entirely new sentence in the Bible. It was a forgery.

All Bibles are collated and edited works of men. So is the GW you prefer.

the Lord of Host is the same one person, JESUS. Listen and Learn, Isaiah 6:1 "In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple." Isaiah 6:2 "Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly." Isaiah 6:3 "And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory." Isaiah 6:4 "And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke."

the Lord of Host? who is the Lord of Host ... answer, Speaking of the Lord JESUS, John 12:37 "But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:" John 12:38 "That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?" John 12:39 "Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again," John 12:40 "He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them." John 12:41 "These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him."
