The NRSV study note for Acts 2:27 states that many Jewish people thought as you do now, that prophets no longer existed in their day.
It is not logical for the Bible to warn us of false prophets as we get to the end times if there were not also going to be true prophets as Acts 2:17 explicitly states. The following verses are identified in NRSV as parallel to Acts 2:17
Joel 2:28-32
It will happen afterward that I will pour out my spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions. 29And also on my servants and on my servant girls in those days, I will pour out my spirit. 30I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: blood, fire, and pillars of smoke. 31The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and terrible Day of Yahweh comes. 32It will happen that whoever will call on the name of Yahweh will be saved
Zech 12:10
and I will pour out on the house of David
and on those living in Yerushalayim
a spirit of grace and prayer
Acts 10:45
And the believers from the circumcision were amazed, all those who came with Peter, because on the Gentiles also the gift of the holy spirit was poured out.
Acts 21:9
He had four unmarried daughters with the gift of prophecy.
