Anyone here appreciate LIFE because of knowing they will die?
What people see in "death" is often separating them from God.

'That their hearts might be comforted,
being knit together in love,
and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding,
to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God,
and of the Father, and of Christ;'
(Col.2:2)
Hello @praise_yeshua,
Since knowing the Lord Jesus Christ as my Saviour, and coming into the assurance of understanding that an acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ brings, if only in small measure because of the limitation of my understanding, all fear of death has gone. For, the hope that is set before me, is what my eyes are fixed on, and I see the glory of what is to come, and not the possible length of time that will elapse before it becomes a living reality. God has placed me in Christ, and I am where He is in spirit, living in newness of life before the Father.
I look for the appearing of Christ as written in Colossians3:4:- 'When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.'
Thank you
In Christ Jesus
Chris

Hello @praise_yeshua,The life we now live is the goodness of God toward us.
Act 14:16 Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.
Act 14:17 Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.
It is knowing that such goodness will end with our death that makes us appreciate life. Death is a boundary. It is the natural teaching of seasons and times. It is why Jesus mocked the Pharisees...
Luk 12:54 He also said to the crowds, “When you see a cloud rising in the west, you say at once, ‘A shower is coming.’ And so it happens.
Luk 12:55 And when you see the south wind blowing, you say, ‘There will be scorching heat,’ and it happens.
Luk 12:56 You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky, but why do you not know how to interpret the present time?
It was what finally got Solomon's attention.....
Ecc 1:2 Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher, vanity of vanities! All is vanity.
Hello @praise_yeshua,
Your further entry makes me think that I may have misunderstood your OP, and therefore not responded appropriately.
Would you please explain your subject heading:- 'Knowing God through death'.

'For ye are dead,The necessity of death for freewill creatures to learn of God.
'For ye are dead,
and your life is hid
with Christ
in God.'
(Col 3:3)
Hello @praise_yeshua
Does the verse above contain the truth you are seeking to convey?
Within the love of Christ our Saviour,
our Lord and Head
Chris
'Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood,No. Death exists because of the will of God. Notice I didn't say God created death. I said it exists because God wills it to exist. In the context of Sovereignty, death exists because God hasn't take action to destroy death. Which we know, one day He will.
So, how do we explain why death is allowed to exist when it is purposed for future destruction?
I could ask many more questions but this is a rudimentary test of how anyone views death. Like I mentioned the OP. Death leads us to know God.
How would you teach someone that isn't listening to you or doesn't want anything to do with you? What about if they desire to be completely FREE from you?
Death is a boundary against the proliferation and impact of sin in our lives. We can see our end. There many other explanations but at the very least, Death teaches.
'Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood,
He also Himself likewise took part of the same;
that through death He might destroy him
that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
And deliver them who through fear of death
were all their lifetime subject to bondage.'
(Heb 2:14-15)
Hello @praise_yeshua ,
The Lord Jesus Christ came into the world to destroy the works of the Devil, and for those who place their trust in Him, He does just that.
'Now this I say, brethren,
that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God;
neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
Behold, I shew you a mystery;
We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump:
for the trumpet shall sound,
and the dead shall be raised incorruptible,
and we shall be changed.
For this corruptible must put on incorruption,
and this mortal must put on immortality.
So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption,
and this mortal shall have put on immortality,
then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written,
Death is swallowed up in victory.
O death, where is thy sting?
O grave, where is thy victory?
(1Cor 15:50-55)
Thank you
In Christ Jesus
