The voice says “This is my son…” so either it is possibly his ‘Heavenly Mother’ or it’s his “Heavenly Father”. It’s one or the other…feel free to choose! It has to be a ‘parent’ figure if Jesus is “my son”!
Doug
GINOLJC, to all.
ERROR, quit reading into the scriptures. lets LEARN. scripture please. Genesis 22:1 "And it came to pass after these things, that
God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am." Genesis 22:2 "And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of." God was talking to Abraham.... correct.
now lets see this play out, follow the scriptures, same chapter, Genesis 22:7 "And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?" Genesis 22:8 "And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together."
now LISTEN to the scriptures carefully, same chapter same story, Genesis 22:11 "A
nd the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I." Genesis 22:12 "And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him:
for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from
me."
now if the scriptures would
not have said, "The angel of the LORD spoke to Abraham from.... HEAVEN", would you believe that it was God himself, (Hearing the pronoun "I" and "ME", here in the verse or as you said, "his ‘Heavenly Mother, or someone else?" no, now let's continue.
Genesis 22:15 "
And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time," Genesis 22:16 "And said,
By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, (the angel of the Lord SAID,
By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD,) ............ saith the LORD?), but was it not the angel speaking? for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:" Genesis 22:17 "
That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, (STOP,
and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed? question, "who multiplied Abraham seed?" the angel here, or God, or as you suggest Mrs God), and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;" Genesis 22:18 "And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed
my voice."
So, Doug, who blessed Abraham seed? .... the angel speaking .... FROM HEAVEN? ....
have you not gotten it yet .... the angel was speaking from "HEAVEN" on God's behalf.
see, if we didn't have in the scriptures here, telling us that the angel of the LORD spoke from heaven, should we just arbitrarily ASSUME by ADDING that it was God speaking from HEAVE, BECAUSE OF WHAT WAS SAID? just as you and many other unlearned Christian assume that it was GOD the Father "VOICE" that spoke from HEAVEN in Matthews at the Lord Jesus Baptism. but scriptures NEVER said it was the "Father's" VOICE..... you and many assume this because of what was said. the scripture simply said a voice..... so why ADDING to the Word of God, you and many ERROR when you "ASSUME"?
if you add to God word that's idolatry, you take his name in vain, and one is in a false worship.
so 101G suggest, all say just what the bible says..... "A Voice", and nothing more, don't add nor take away from the Word of God.
just say what the bible say. ...... ok, never ASSUME.
