Gentiles.
OK. Now discern between proselytes and God-Fearers. Both were Gentiles but were not in covenant.
Neither were uncircumcised, non-covenant Roman, Scythian, Barbarians.
But they are saved. But since Scripture cannot be broken and the Abrahamic Covenant is with his seed, and the Mosaic Covenant is with the children of Israel (Jacob), and the New Covenant is with the House of Israel and Judah...
there are no Gentiles in any of the three Hebrew/Jewish covenants.
None.
So, either God is saving Gentiles without a covenant or these Gentiles who think they are Gentile just might have Abraham's DNA in their family ancestry due to the three major exiles and scatterings, the last being the Roman destruction of Israel in AD 70. Laws were written preventing Jews to return to Jerusalem and Israel. They went elsewhere until at least 1922 after the defeat of the Ottoman Empire and the Allies took control (England and France after WWI.

Hello @jeremiah1five,

There was a promise made, not to the believer directly, but to Christ Himself, before the foundation of the world (Eph.1:4), on behalf of all who will believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation, whether Jew or Gentile. That is the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus. That is the one and only promise made regarding the Church which is the Body of Christ, but it is sure and steadfast, for He Who made it is faithful and true.

Praise God!

Thank you

First, know that as a rabbi and Pharisee "above many his equals" Saul knew the Hebrew Scripture. As a rabbi he would argue points from what he gleaned from the Law, Psalms, and the Prophets and would not contradict the Hebrew Scripture. Now, we have the same Scripture he did except his was in Hebrew and the KJV is still the best English translation out there. Lasted over 422 years and still going strong. Linguists have all praised this translation. And as a rabbi, as I said, his writings must be understood in the rabbinic tradition of how they discussed and argued the Scripture. He brings up a point, argues it and comes to a conclusion and says traditionally, "God forbid" and then says what he thinks is the correct conclusion.

So, above, what is this "promise of life" he mentions? Where's the Scripture in the OT describing it so there can be no mistake what he's talking about because this "promise" was on the face of it given to many characters in the OT. David, Joash, Solomon, Adam, even Abraham. And take note it doesn't say, "Jesus Christ," but "Christ "Anointing" Jesus (them man.)
And it is found in a personal letter. Maybe there was a promise of life given to Timothy when prophecy was made over him with the laying on of hands? It may contain useful info on personal responsibility, etc., and church organization but we err to take a personal and apply it to the church.
'That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs,

Now, here, as with all the New Covenant writings (except Timothy) Saul, Peter, James, John, Jude, Matthew, etc., are all writing to Jewish Christians, not Gentiles. They may address Gentile issues and complications but there were Gentile proselytes and Gentile God-Fearers that were first to be converted having been in synagogue and living their lives and teaching their families obedience to the Torah, so the mention of Gentiles does not automatically mention what I call 'hard-core, uncircumcised, non-covenant Roman, Scythian, Barbarian, enemy Gentiles' who knew nothing of the Jewish religion that came out of Babylon. These Gentiles and the Jews were enemies. These Gentiles were 'unclean' as opposed to circumcised proselytes and uncircumcised devout God-Fearers. They were closest to the Jewish religion (Judaism.) And again, what is meant by the "promise in Christ ("Anointing")? Things in the Spirit are not things necessarily in the natural although honestly it was the Spiritual that came first. Where is the Scripture describing and identifying this 'promise' so we can be sure how to understand Saul's meaning.
'Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ,
according to the faith of God's elect,
and the acknowledging of the truth
which is after godliness;
In hope of eternal life,
which God, that cannot lie,
promised before the world began;
(Tit 1:1-2)
Again, what is the Scripture describing exactly this promise? And if "before the world began" then this must be a promise among Trinity for things found in OT about Israel's elect and what God has promised them through the three Hebrew Covenants. Before the world began there was no Adam. And this is a personal letter to Titus. We cannot take a personal statement and make it apply to the Church, and vice versa. And I'm talking about the Jewish Church, not Gentile church.

Being made "nigh" (near" does not mean inclusion. What enmity? Sin? And here Saul is talking about things of the Spirit (blood of CHRIST) not covenant.

Saul knew the OT. He disappeared for seventeen years with his books to look into the OT and learned what was said about things having to do with the New Covenant, a covenant made WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL not Gentiles. And although Saul was called of Christ to take a message he was not authorized to say things the OT does not say, such as Gentiles are in the Abrahamic, Mosaic, or New Covenants when he can't produce the Scripture to prove it. And I doiubt Saul has any authority as God to not even say Gentiles are in any of the Hebrew Covenants nor to make a new covenant with them in it. Take note the Noahic, Abrahamic, Mosaic, Davidic, and other covenants/promises were made by God alone speaking for Himself. Scripture bears this out. It is an extremely far-fetched idea to think a man, no matter his calling, can change Scripture, twist Scripture, or interpret Scripture that says Gentiles are in any of the Hebrew covenants. He doesn't have the power to make such promises happen as God can nor authority to make such claims.

Personally, based upon my extensive studies and understanding of history, I know Saul contradicts himself on three occasions in his letters so far as I've found (Saul vs. Jesus thread), and there were countless other letters or writings discussed by Gentiles in the fourth century when Gentiles were making the canon. Given that they were enemies when the Temple was destroyed it was not hard for them to think God was casting away the Jews and Gentiles in their ascendancy was the New Jerusalem and New Israel that keeping Saul's letter to Romans was kept because it served their purpose that seems - and I said SEEMS - to point out Gentile inclusion in the "promises" and "covenants." Could be self-serving to establishing Gentiles as dominant over the covenant Hebrews/Jews in the salvation clock of God. And in all things Jewish. But what the Gentiles can never do is produce any OT writing which states Gentiles as being in covenant because the oracles of God were committed to the Jews and there was no way for them to mutilate those writings.
All I'm doing is bringing up important points to consider and that you THINK about these things.

Hello @jeremiah1five,

Thank you for responding.

The verses I entered in (#343), containing reference to, 'The promise of life which is in Christ Jesus', all came from the epistles written by Paul while in prison: following the Divine revelation received by him concerning the Church which is the Body of Christ. This 'Mystery, was 'hid in God', since the world began (Eph. 3:9), and therefore was not the subject of the Old Testament Prophets, or anything written prior to Acts 28. 'The unsearchable riches of Christ'.

Hid in God until the revelation of the Holy Spirit through study. He disappeared for 17 years. He studied.
We come to the same revelation under the anointing as he did:

11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:
14 And profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,
16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:
17 Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.
18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.
19 But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord’s brother.
20 Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.
21 Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;
22 And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:
23 But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.
24 And they glorified God in me.
Gal. 1:11–24.

God reveals His Word to obedient people under the anointing.
He's done the same with me.

Hello @jeremiah1five,

The truth of the Mystery concerning Christ and the Church which is His body was given by Divine revelation to the Apostle Paul alone, this is a matter of record in Ephesians 3, and it's proclamation is made in the epistles which follow, in Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 & 2 Timothy, Titus and Philemon. Paul was appointed by God the Father to be an Apostle of Christ Jesus the risen Lord, unto the Gentiles, and his witness must therefore not be undermined or demeaned.

And when you study the Word under the anointing, and you come to understand something you don't think that's divine revelation?

That's the same thing Saul received by reading and studying the Hebrew Scriptures to understand this New Covenant the House of Israel found themselves in with a Messiah and the Advent of their Holy Spirit of Promise. But one thing Saul could not do was create a covenant nor to contradict the Hebrew Scripture of Law, Psalms, and Prophets which do not state anywhere that God included Gentiles in His Covenants. Not even circumcised proselytes and uncircumcised Gor-Fearers who were citizens of the commonwealth of Israel and obedient to the Torah and closest to Israel by way of citizenry were ever in any of the Hebrew covenants. Do you want to know why?
Because they were NOT the seed of Abraham.

Take a look. Here is the covenant between Abram and God - NO GENTILES.

18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: Gen. 15:17–18.

And again. There are NO GENTILES here either:

2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly; Gen. 17:2.

And again. There are NO GENTILES here either:

4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. Gen. 17:3–4.

And again. There are NO GENTILES here either:

7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. Gen. 17:6–7.

And again. There are NO GENTILES here either:

9 And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations. Gen. 17:9.

And again. There are NO GENTILES here either:

10 This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee;
Gen. 17:10.

And again with Isaac. There are NO GENTILES here either:

19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him. Gen. 17:18–19.

So, if you want to add to the bible things not there that's on you and you become a heretic for Saul did not take these passages he knew so very well and on his own include Gentiles in contradiction to the above passages. That would make Saul a heretic if he did that. And if in the Constantinian Gentile theology of the past 1900 years wants to contradict the passages in Genesis 15 and 17, and that's exactly what they've done these centuries and Gentiles have ate it up because who wants to be ignored or excluded? But here is something you should know and have a go at trying to reconcile your belief that Gentiles are in any of the Hebrew covenants with what God says about Gentiles (non-Abrahamic Hebrews) in Isaiah:

15 Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket,
And are counted as the small dust of the balance:
Behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.
16 And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn,
Nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.
17 All nations before him are as nothing;
And they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.
Isaiah 40:15–17.

Now, I've repeated myself but you're not letting Scripture register in your mind. The thick, heretical beliefs you and Gentiles are holding to will be your own undoing. You're a nice lady but I am a man who doesn't particularly like repeating myself to no end. So, I'm going to leave this between us where it is. The Church that Christ built is populated by Jews/Hebrews. After the destruction of the Temple Gentiles saw this as God casting away His people and now Gentiles have taken over the covenants, the terminology, everything God gave to Abraham and his seed and the children of Israel and Gentiles have STOLEN it.

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Mt 16:18.

1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

(Hellenized Jews mostly. But still Jews. While in the 500s BC Cyrus king of Babylon gave permission for the Jews to return to their land [Israel] but it was the two southern tribes - Judah and Benjamin with a smattering of ten northern kingdom tribes who were taken by Assyria, and the Assyrians later defeated by the Babylonians - in remnant that returned. The majority of Jews of two or three generations later from conquest and exile remained in Gentile lands like Assyria, Babylon, and everywhere else in between that stayed where they were taken captive - but while in Babylon the tribes developed Judaism and most remained faithful to the Mosaic traditions even without a Temple and centered their traditions around the Feasts and other holy days. So, these devout Jews went yearly - mostly - to Jerusalem for their Feasts as commanded by God in the Law to celebrate their traditions/religion. Pharisees and Sadducees came into existence around the 200s BC. There was nothing wrong with these two groups in the beginning being the students of two Hebrew teachers (Hillel and Shimei) but by the time of Jesus who chastised them as corrupt and for elevating the traditions of the older folk (elders) over the Scripture.)

6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

(the local dialects from the Gentile locations/lands these Jews visited Jerusalem from to go to the Feast.)

7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?

(This identifies eleven disciples - minus, Judas who was from Kerioth not Galilee - not 120 as is supposed Acts 1:15.)

8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

(Hellenized Jews born in Gentile lands.)

9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?
Acts 2:1–12.

(When the Feast was over these newly minted Jewish "Christ-ians" who were born again and baptized into Christ and the Church Jesus was building to the tune of three thousand Jews the first day, they returned to their homes and synagogues taking with them their experiences, an outline of Peter's sermon, the Holy Spirit of Promise, and Jesus. Every Jew they met along the Roman roads was witnessed to about what happened to them at Jerusalem and if you notice areas like Cappadocia, Pontus, Asia, Phrygia, Pamphylia, parts of Libya, Cyrene, and Rome, these places received the witness of Jesus and after the breach with the synagogue and subsequent persecution by Jews upon the new sect "within Judaism" they began to gather in their homes in places Saul some twenty years later visited. Places like Corinth, Galatia, Ephesus, Thessalonica, Philippi, etc., already had Jewish Christian fellowships when Saul arrived. There were no Gentiles except a few proselytes and God-Fearers, but the majority were Jewish as Christ was building His Church populated by Jewish converts. It was their covenant. Their Messiah. And it took time to search the Hebrew Scripture - as Saul did - to understand and make sense of this new thing the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob was doing in the earth and in this New Covenant era. Acts 2:47 says, Christ added to His Church daily such as should be saved, and it was not a salvation here and a salvation there, but thousands upon thousands of conversions taking place among the Jewish people. Jew were being born-again and saved. Not only that, but they remained obedient to the Law of Moses and remained in the Abrahamic Covenant. Saul addresses their concern in Galatians 3 specifically, "If ye be Christ's then are you still Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise." Gentiles were never in the Abrahamic Covenant and heirs to the promises made to Abraham and his seed.

But after several revolts in the 60s the Romans came and destroyed the Temple, Israel in general and while the Jews decreased, Gentiles increased but because of their hatred for the Jews and their perceived ideas God destroyed Israel Gentiles saw their destruction as God casting away His people - which will never happen "I will never leave you nor forsake you" a replacement theology developed as Gentiles unmoored true, biblical Christianity from its Hebrew roots and developed their own, new religion - and without the guidance of the Hebrew Scriptures and a Jew or two to help them understand that Word. And for 1900 years Gentiles have gotten very comfortable with their new religion and their belief-system that in places is disconnected from the Hebrew Covenant and the Hebrew Scripture. With the destruction of Israel and their Temple Christ halted building His Church so that the Times of the Gentiles can come in, but right before Christ returns and with the advent of the two Hebrew/Jewish witnesses of Revelation 11 Christ will again return to building His Church. Until then we have a Gentile beast standing in for true, biblical Christianity until the 70th week begins, and all hell breaks loose upon the earth.
What a time to be alive.
