How do the unsaved suffer forever in hell without the Tree of Life?

The Holy Spirit sealed part of the believer does not sin. The earthly, flesh part of the believer does sin.

So the seed remaining in the believer does not sin.

But the ability to fall into sin is still there.

Over.
Your concept of Jesus is like micky mouse. When He said He takes away sin, and IN Him there is no sin, He is talking about taking the desire to break any of the laws of God out of our very nature, leaving us with a clean nature that partakes of the divine nature of God. But that is only for those who have actually been born again. That is not something you can claim when you get baptized or something. It is literally being conformed into the image of Christ!!!!!!!!!! It is an experience you cannot deny. One that I didn't have for the first 30 years of my life during which I was baptized three times! But after I was born again, I heard God's voice tell me, "NOW be baptized in water." He hadn't even acknowledged the first three.

This is why we MUST not only be born again of the Spirit, but abide IN Him so He can mature the fruit of the Spirit. That is the FINISHING part from the AUTHOR and FINISHER of our faith. This is also according to Romans 8:16-17, 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

W, this is not something that you have to TRY to do. It just happens as long as you keep yourself abiding in Him. Those imperfections are automatically forgiven according to 1 John 5:18, 18 We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.

I was looking back at my life and am amazed how many things I used to do (flesh) I now have absolutely no desire to do, and am filled with joy all the time, AND self-control. Do you know what helped me the most? FORUMS. When I first moved to Tennessee from Arizona in 2001 after my husband divorced me to be with the wife of his best friend!!!, my sister-in-law (from my first marriage) told me she had heard from her friend that she is on Christian dating sites. It took a few years but I finally broke down and joined one. That is where I found forums. (I don't date because I am still spiritually married to my husband who didn't have cause,) but the forums opened my eyes to ALL the doctrines of different denominations I was clueless about. Not thier names, but WHAT THEY BELIEVED!!!! Oh, my!

The point is, if I could look back at all my posts and responses, I would see a distinct difference in tone from when I first posted to now. The forums are great for growing up in the Lord. And maturing the fruit of the Spirit if you stay conscious to the working of Jesus in you. It also affected my daily life interacting face to face. Now, I am in the Spirit all the time - NOT IN THE FLESH. I'm now 78 and feel finished, but only Jesus knows how much more sand-papering His has to do. This finishing part is in our lifetime, W. Peter says when we are mature in the fruit, we will NEVER STUMBLE. 2 Peter 1:5-11.

We must become as finished as we can get before death, for then we will stay in the level we are at for eternity. For a Christian, either righteous/sinless of mortal sins, and will never break His commandments (the true meaning of 1 John 3:9, which is instant when we are born again and Jesus takes away the desire for lawlessness, 1 John 3:4-9; or perfect/holy when we will no longer stumble and are truly conformed into the image of Christ and are glorified, Romans 8:29-30. The only thing still of the flesh is our body that will be glorified, but W, don't think there is sin in the body. It is only a floppy puppet that can only move according to our inner self - our nature. A sinner has a sin nature. A born again of the Spirit person has a clean nature, John 15:3, and only venial sins are left, but are constantly being cleansed AS LONG AS WE ABIDE IN HIM.

W, we CAN live in the Spirit all the time if YOU KEEP yourself there. Don't believe the teaching from carnal teachers who preach according to their own experience and not the truth of the power of Jesus. They want to tell you that true Christians have a sin nature. That is not the same Jesus of the Bible who takes away sin out of our nature, leaving us with a clean nature that partakes of the divine nature of God.

It's just a plain fact that absolutely no one is perfect aside from God.

You would have had a cold or flu recently or had some kind of cut or bruise that doesn't heal straight away. That's imperfection. You would have had negative thoughts ...that's imperfection.

So believers can overcome thru the power of the Holy Spirit. They can be faithful. They can develop a pattern of leaning on His grace and be continuously in the Word. But imperfection remains.

Otherwise, what sin is He forgiving?

Again..you can look at Corinth for an example of many Christians still battling with the sin nature vs following the Spirit.

Corinth is not a typical example to refer to, except to those who want to justify their own actions. We have two letters to Corinth and we find in the second one they repented leading to salvation. That reminds me of myself for the first 30 years of my life in church and a sinner. Like me, not everyone going to church is born again of the Spirit. I wasn't, but when it finally happened I felt a heaviness leave my body. That was the sin from my nature. The next day, I had no more desires that I had just the day before. THAT is the power of Holy Spirit entering me and remaining in me as I learned the importance of abiding in Jesus.

No dear, read the context is about the Mosaic Law. Start with verse 7:1.

1 John 3:9
9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

There are many false denominations that believe we will always sin and have sin natures till be die. FALSE - A DOCTRINE OF DEMONS. And completely against the apostles true teachings read in context.

Go read the truth that will set you free. John 8:32-36
ALL sin. Many practice willfull sin. That is the difference.

It's just a plain fact that absolutely no one is perfect aside from God.
You are wrong, unless you are talking about our body. They keep getting worse and worse until it dies. But you are not taking into account that Jesus is the Author and Finisher of our faith. Do you believe that or not? When He finishes us, do we still sin? Watt, if you say, yes, then pray God wipe your mind of all the false doctrines you've been raised with, and submit to the hand of God.

Otherwise, what sin is He forgiving?
First, is lawlessness. That is to be righteous. We have a new nature that desires to keep the laws of God.

Then while walking in the Spirit, we are going through the finishing process of maturing the fruit of the Spirit. It is like driving. We just turn the wheel as we go away from minor sins or lack of control, or unkindness and do the opposite.

We've already repented. That is when we receive the Holy Spirit and we keep ourselves.

Don't be lead by teachers who tell you that when you sin as if it is a given, then use 1 John 1:9 as a get out of hell card! FALSE DOCTRINE. 1 John 1:9 is how to become a Christian and receive the Holy Spirit. DONE. Those who have trouble with sin, have NEVER been born again of the Spirit. To become perfect, you have to be on the narrow path that few find.

You are quoting a common theme, from where I do not know, but NOT the Bible. Many denominations are falling away from the truth more and more every decade.

We all sinned, but Jesus takes away sin (lawlessness) to make us righteous, and in Him is no sin.

There are unacceptable sins like 1 Cor 6:9-11 and Galations 5:19-21-- Then there are those who let a swear word out once in a great while but do not do those 2 lists to the best of their abilities. Nor do they participate in false god worship things.

Plain works based salvation.

I've been saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ period.

Salvation is believing Jesus is God, that He died and rose again, that by believing you have everlasting life. John 3:16, 5:24, 6:40, Romans 5:8, Romans 10:9-10 etc.

Good works..going on to maturity.. fruitfulness, faithfulness..aren't the way of salvation. They are outcomes of it.. marks of salvation..but not salvation itself.

The Corinthians would have been mostly converted and headed to heaven before and in spite of their waywardness.

Why did Paul say in his second letter "repentance that leads to salvation."

Do you believe a born again of the Spirit Christian can still be a serial killer? To me they were never born again of the Holy Spirit based on 1 John 3:9.

Adam and Eve were told by God to not eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil for if they ate of it, they would surely die. Atheists argue that our God lied. But what died as soon as Adam sinned was his spirit and soul, the reason why his descendants are born with a sin nature. They must be born again to live eternally, and not sin, 1 John 3:9 and 1 John 1:7. Born again Christians do not have a sin nature, but a clean nature, John 15:3 that partakes of the divine nature of God 2 Peter 1:4. Those who preach we will always have a sin nature are preaching a false doctrine. But it fills their pews $.

Anyone have a comment on the Title?
Someone has to fill the pews, because apparently you do not go to church, contrary to Hebrews 10:25 - "not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, ..."

So if you are disobeying this verse, are you not committing sin? Let me answer that for you - YES, you are.

Paul acknowledges that Christians DO SIN in 2 Cor. 12:20-21, among other places.

Many who practice 1 of these sins( 1 Cor 6:9-11-Gal 5:19-21) think they are born again, probably told they are born again. But they aren't.

I go to church. Many. One at 9:00 am to 10:30 am; the next at 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, and Sunday night from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. And many others I visit. I also went to the SDA church on Saturday mornings from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm until I told them of a miracle God had just performed at my house and they asked me to leave. It had to do with a piece of jewelry that God created. SDA's don't believe in jewelry so thought I must be of the devil.

That is right. I don't do any of those sins. Do you? But there are many with itching ears that seek out churches that condone their sin. And @dwight92070, they believe in Jesus, but are still trapped in their sin. Only those whose DESIRE for their sin are taken away are actually born again.

Paul mentions -spiritism at Galations-The Greek word = Pharmacia=drug addiction is apart of that. 99% on Earth do at least 1 of those sins or are mislead by false god worship-99% of all religion is false.

I agree. Jesus even said, "few there are that find it." Paul talked about "the falling away" before the end.

It started in the second century. Even in Peters books false teachings were getting in. Titus had to be left behind to correct error teachings that were getting in--thats the first century. It got worse.

Go read Revelation chapters two and three. Revelation means Prophecy. Not only were those seven letters written to those 1 century churches, and character traits of people, but they represent church eras. The letters are 3-fold. The Philadelphian Church was just this past century and it was the best and will even be protected either by rapture according to pre-tribbers, or on earth. We may even be in the last era of Laodecia where the members are lukewarm.
