Heresies

not everything we read in the Bible applies to everyone at all times. many times it applies only to those it is addressed to unless its stated in the context that its universal in application. Hermeneutics 101. :)

'context context context'

There are TWO types of context in Scripture

What is the Correct Context according to the words of God???

a.) Historical context = who said what to whom, when and where

B.) Holy Spirit Context = What applies to who, when and where

c.) only a is correct

d.) only B is correct

e.) Both a + B are Correct

Take your time and remember, this is a Open Book question and answer fellowship in the Holy Spirit of TRUTH
loaded question fallacy. :)

There is a context and the Holy Spirit enlightens us to the truth.

Gods word is "fallacy" to you???

The Holy Scriptures are a LOADED Question & Answer examination from God to man.

His LOADED Question & Answer Platform began in Genesis, in the Garden and then continues thru the Torah, the Prophets, JESUS, the Apostles and Finally the Finished Word = Book of Revelation.

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Hi! The traditional texts retain all of God's Word, but the new translations detract much from God's Word!
Good late Morning,

Fresh ground coffee at Dave's this morning = all who love Christ are welcome

The LORD called me out of religion 40 years ago.

Without any prior knowledge of the scriptures(except from RCC Easter & Christmas) the Holy Spirit quickened my understanding in the King James Version.

i now read the NKJV but also use biblehub.com to compare to other versions.

You are CORRECT in that some of the newer versions detract from God's Word

SHALOM to you my Brother in Christ

Hi Brother, and appreciate your introduction! It's been wisely said that "all who should be saved will be saved." As you may know, God has the names of all who will be saved in the "Lamb's Book of Life" (Rev 21:27); hence the above saying. Nothing will hinder all who will be saved.

Concerning the best translation, they are the ones translated from what is called the Majority text; and of all the modern translations, which consist of 95 percent of all Bibles, are from the Minority text. These translations omit, transpose and interpolate Scripture, making them errant versions.

Which version do you read from and is it from the majority text

Same as you, KJV and NKJV. If you would like an example of errors in the Modern versions, look at 2Sam 21:19. All the modern versions, except the NIV contain this error, but they corrected their translation here; though theirs's still contains the errors of the other modern translations.

The modern translations say "Elhanan killed Goliath." It's supposed to say he killed "the brother of Goliath. This is an example of many errors I can show you if you like. Nearly all are in the NT.

When we have Bible reading with my two sons and their bibles(non-KJV) i SEE the errors and/or dilution of KEY words that can change the whole meaning = just as you pointed out

Thank You and i mean what i said = fresh ground coffee for lovers of Christ and His Truth at my house anytime

I think the modern Bibles are one of the major reasons for immature Christians. Are you in Missouri?

You don't like New Jersey?
It was GREAT 40 years ago.

Now most of the rural areas are overpopulated, taxes are high, land prices are outrageous, water not safe to drink,
heavy chem trails in the skies above weekly if not daily, fishing is dismal except by the ocean which i never fish.

NJ had the best deer hunting but now the open public lands are ghost towns where bear coyote, bobcat, mountain lion and recently introduced Eastern Wolf devour any game/deer.

DDT spraying 30 years ago exterminated the natural Ruffed Grouse = they are now extinct in NJ along with brook trout

Some brook trout remain - barely

Ruffed Grouse are such a beautiful bird to watch in the wild.

Traffic is horrendous

Other then that = great place to live...............
