Harpadzo/rapiemur/rapture

Sounds like you've so completely compartmentalized the Bible that you have become blinded by your pride.

As you wish.
1Th 4:17 Vulgate deinde nos qui vivimus qui relinquimur simul rapiemur cum illis in nubibus obviam Domino in aera et sic semper cum Domino erimus

granted, my question becomes...
can you actually read latin.
perhaps you can read Greek? If not, the word you're looking for is harpadzo.

Why, are you afraid to focus on the truth?

The elect are Israel.
Zec 13:8 WEB It shall happen that in all the land,” says Yahweh, “two parts in it will be cut off and die; but the third will be left in it.

The third is the elect.

In fact, Paul discusses this in Romans 9-11.
You ignored Mat 24 and you just took a word (Harpazo) and poured all your theology into it. It says nothing about a pretrib seven year previous to the Christ's coming snatching away

Nothing you posted speaks of it

you failed

If you think so then demonstrate Mat 24 and Luke 21 teaches a rapture of the church and is not dealing with Israel

This was not done

Show where the term rapture is mentioned and it takes men to be with christ while they are in a living state previous to some future great tribulation

nothing you posted shows a future to us pretrib rapture

BTW show why the elect are spoken of at Mat 24:18-22 and not removed from the earth and have to run to the hills

Matthew 24:18–22 (KJV 1900) — 18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. 19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! 20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: 21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

you failed to address that
No. Actually!
It's been repeatedly dealt with.
i explicitly stated in my op that this is not a thread to argue about.

Sounds like you've decided that under no circumstances whatsoever are you interested in escaping the great tribulation period.

Well, I'm not interested in arguing with you about it.
You go right ahead and stay here.

I'm going to learn to what Jesus says we're to do.

Luk 21:34-36 WEB 34 “So be careful, or your hearts will be loaded down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day will come on you suddenly. 35 For it will come like a snare on all those who dwell on the surface of all the earth. 36 Therefore be watchful all the time, praying that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Bye!

Let's just relax here and take a deep breath. It's okay to disagree. but after 23 posts it may be time to move on. If you have any more comments to make on this topic please do it in a friendly manner.

PS did you notice the time text

Luke 21:29–33 (ESV) — 29 And he told them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. 30 As soon as they come out in leaf, you see for yourselves and know that the summer is already near. 31 So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that the kingdom of God is near. 32 Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all has taken place. 33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

It's over

Luke 21:20–24 (ESV) — 20 “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let those who are inside the city depart, and let not those who are out in the country enter it, 22 for these are days of vengeance, to fulfill all that is written. 23 Alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! For there will be great distress upon the earth and wrath against this people. 24 They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive among all nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
