Feast of Trumpets and the Rapture

The Jewish feasts are rich in meaning and prophetic insight. Many believe that these feasts, given by God, are not merely historical traditions but point to events fulfilled by Christ. Among these remarkable feasts, the Feast of Trumpets plays a unique role in understanding the rapture and Christ's return.

The Seven Jewish Feasts

To grasp the significance of the Feast of Trumpets, it’s essential to understand its place among the seven Jewish feasts outlined in Scripture. These feasts are divided as follows:
Three feasts in the spring: Passover, Unleavened Bread, and First Fruits
Three feasts in the fall: Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, and Feast of Tabernacles
One feast in the middle: Pentecost

How the Feasts Connect to Christ

The feasts beautifully mirror Christ’s work, both in His first coming and His return:
Spring Feasts (First Coming):

  • Passover: A picture of Christ’s sacrificial death for our sins.
  • Unleavened Bread: Reflects His sanctifying work, removing our penalties before God.
  • First Fruits: Foreshadows Christ’s victorious resurrection from the dead.
The Middle Feast:
  • Pentecost: Symbolizes the giving of the Holy Spirit, God's law written on the hearts of believers.
Fall Feasts (Second Coming):
  • Feast of Trumpets: Represents the rapture, the resurrection of believers, and Christ’s return for His church.
  • Day of Atonement: A somber depiction of the tribulation period.
  • Feast of Tabernacles: Looks forward to the millennial kingdom when Christ reigns on earth.

Christ's Fulfillment of the Feasts

What makes these feasts extraordinary is that Jesus fulfills them in order, each on the very day of the feast. The first four feasts have already been fulfilled during His first coming:
  • He was crucified on Passover (as the Lamb of God).
  • The work of sanctification began during Unleavened Bread.
  • His resurrection took place on the Feast of First Fruits.
  • The Holy Spirit was given on the day of Pentecost.
This pattern firmly establishes the prophetic nature of the feasts. Naturally, this invites anticipation for the next feast on the calendar, the Feast of Trumpets, to be fulfilled during His second coming.

The Feasts of Trumpets and Its Prophetic Meaning

The Feast of Trumpets, also known as Rosh Hashanah, is the next feast to be fulfilled on the prophetic calendar. Among its symbolism, it is most closely tied to the rapture.

Connection Between the Feasts of Trumpets and the Rapture

Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 4:16 that the resurrection will happen "at the shout and trumpet of an angel." This is a direct reference to the Feast of Trumpets, which features the blowing of trumpets. It symbolizes the moment Christ will return for His church.
Given that the first four feasts were fulfilled on their specific feast days, many believe the rapture may similarly occur on the Feast of Trumpets.

Timing and Mystery

While some find hope in the Feast of Trumpets as the time of the rapture, Jesus reminds us in Matthew 24:36 that no one knows the exact day or hour. Interestingly, the Feast of Trumpets is observed as a two-day celebration, making it possible for the event to occur without a specific day or hour being known in advance.

Why the Feast of Trumpets Offers Hope

Each year during late September to early October, the Feast of Trumpets is celebrated. It serves as a reminder of God’s perfect plan and the promise of Christ’s return. For believers, it’s an opportunity to reflect, prepare, and stay ready for Rapture Day.

Key Takeaways About the Feast of Trumpets

  • It represents the rapture and the return of Christ for His church.
  • It has strong ties to the blowing of trumpets mentioned in Scripture.
  • Its two-day duration underscores the mystery of the “day or hour.”

Be Prepared for the Trumpet's Call

If the Feast of Trumpets indeed foreshadows the rapture, then it carries a vital message of readiness and anticipation. Though the exact timing remains a mystery, the important takeaway is to live in a state of spiritual vigilance.

Rapture Day

Are you ready for Rapture Day? If the Feast of Trumpets fulfills its prophetic role, it could be sooner than we think. Take time to prepare your heart, live in obedience to God, and share the Good News with those around you. Stay watchful, for the trumpet may sound at any time!

Key Takeaways

  • The seven Jewish feasts create a prophetic timeline that runs through Christ’s first and second comings.
  • The Feast of Trumpets holds remarkable significance for the rapture as the next event on the prophetic calendar.
  • Its two-day duration echoes the call to be prepared, as the exact moment remains unknown. verse by verse ministry

The Jewish feasts are rich in meaning and prophetic insight.

God's Holy Days, separated, sanctified and set apart by Him, are not "Jewish Feasts". They are "Feasts of the Lord".

Spiritually speaking, the Christ "of the Bible" was slain from the foundation of the world. These "Feasts of God" foreshadowed events that were yet to come, and were sanctified and set apart as a reminder that God is Supreme and knows the beginning from the end. God knew what Day His Christ would rise from the dead, and sanctified, set apart and made Holy that day upon creation to keep in our mind on the Prize every week, that although in this world we will have trouble, trials of our Faith and continual battles against the power of darkness, there will come a rest for the people of God at the end of their journey, if they endure to the end with the Faith in God that Jesus exhibited in a world that hates God.

Lev. 23: 1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts "of the LORD", which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are "my feasts".

It is both dishonest and deceitful to call God's Holy Sabbaths and Feasts, "Jewish Feasts". Passover was given to the Homeborn Jew AND the Stranger that sojourned with them. These are God's Feasts, they are Holy to God and they are Holy to God's People, as it is written.

Ex. 31: 14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. 15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.

But the rebellious Jews, according to the Law and Prophets rebelled against this God, as it is written, and fell in the Wilderness. Except for Caleb and Joshua, who Loved God, respected Him and followed Him Fully, like Zacharias, Simeon, Daniel, shadrack, etc.. So God pleaded with their children.

Ez. 20: 18 But I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of "your fathers", neither observe "their judgments", nor defile yourselves with "their idols":

19 I am the LORD your God; walk in "my statutes", and keep "my judgments", and do them;

20 And hallow "my sabbaths"; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God.

21 Notwithstanding the children rebelled "against me": they walked not in "my statutes" (Not "Jewish" Statutes"), neither kept "my judgments" (Not Jewish Judgments) to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; they "polluted my sabbaths" (Not Jewish Sabbaths) then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.

These "Jews" were the religious rulers of the City of David. They had "Full well rejected the Commandments of God that they might live in and promote the Traditions of men. They taught for Doctrines the commandments of men, not God. They had a LAW, it just wasn't the Law of Moses.

They had a sabbath, just as the religious system of this world I was born into has a sabbath. It just isn't the Sabbath of God. They had their feasts and high days, they just were not the Feasts of the Lord. They had their righteousness, but it was a righteousness that they had gone about to establish. Not the Righteousness of God, as they refused to submit to God's Righteousness.

They had a Passover, but it wasn't God's Passover. They had a sabbath, but it wasn't God's Sabbath. The had the Oracles of God, and the teaching of Moses who God sent. But they didn't believe in the Oracles, nor did they believe Moses. If they had believed Moses, they would have been gathered with the Church of God, with those who had "Yielded themselves to God" on God's Feast of Weeks.

This is why when the first Church of God under His New Prophesied High Priest, "After the Order of Melchizedek", who had "Yielded themselves to God", counted the days correctly and were gathered together on Pentecost, a Feast of the Lord, while the rest of Jerusalem, and the promoters of the "Jews Religion" were not gathered and did not receive God's Spirit that God gives to them that obey Him.

Zacharias, Simeon and Anna all knew this, and they had served god acceptably with reverence and fear even surrounded by a religion that hated God. They had gathered on Pentecost in their lives, and they had received the Holy Ghost that God gives to them that obey Him. And they believed on, and knew the Christ before HE was even born.

This is why I avoid the internet from a world that hates God, for my understanding of God, choosing instead to study the Holy Scriptures "for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works".

In this way a man Glorifies God by believing on the instructions of His Son that HE sent, and at the same time Glorifies the Son by "Doing", not just hearing what HE says as it pertains to whose Words to Live By.

Lev. 23: 23 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.

25 Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

As can be clearly seen, there is no 2 day celebration in this "Feast of the Lord". There is perhaps, many such variances and traditions in the "Jewish Feasts", like eating fish heads and baking round bread or eating apples dipped in honey, "and many other such like things ye do".

It's important to understand that according to the Holy scriptures, men, who have been given the Oracles of God, (Gospel of Christ) have this life to turn to God in repentance. After we die, there is no more serving God or rebelling against God as it is written:

Psalms 5: 5 For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?

Ecc. 9: 4 For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion. 5 For the living "know that they shall die": but the dead "know not any thing", neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. 6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, "is now perished"; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

In essence, the Christ returns when we die. We loose consciousness at death and the next thing we see is the Judgment seat of Christ at His return when the dead are raised.

2 Cor. 5:10 For "we must all appear" before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Since we don't know the time or hour of our end, "Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready. it is important to, as Paul teaches, "Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

As Peter also teaches, 2 Pet. 3: 14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may "be found of him" in peace, without spot, and blameless.

The Trumpet is a symbol of war, we are reminded in the last half of our journey not to become complacent, but to remain vigilant.

Matt. 24: 36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

The Feast of Trumpets, which begins at sundown tomorrow evening, reminds those who hearken to it, that our life on earth is but a vapor, here today, gone tomorrow and can pass away at any moment, with no warning. At a twinkle of an eye. A drunk driver, a blood clot, a bullet, or the literal return of the Christ, all mean the same thing, our time on earth has run out.

1 Cor. 15: 58 Therefore, (Because of this) my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in "the work of the Lord", forasmuch as ye know that "your labour is not in vain" in the Lord.
