Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” with a dollop of "free will".

and we know the fruit of the spirit is only evident in a person who is already saved and is walking in the spirit which produces the fruit of the spirit.
YES!!!!

And we also know or should that God's plan from the beginning is not only pure genius it is pure simplicity.

However, they don't have a firm biblical foundation and it's irrational.
How dare we quote that LUNATIC the Apostle Paul as of he wrote “real” Scripture like John 3:16!

WHOSOEVER man, Whosoever! ;)

Faith is the fruit of the Spirit Galatians 5 22, don't matter what any other scripture says.
But YOU do not know what Gal 5:22 is talking about or why.

I know. Paul must have bumped his head when he fell off his horse on hos way to Damascus. But it did lead to Saul's conversion to Paul. The guy wrote a lot of Bible. And and any Whosoever that reads it and believes it can get saved.

Faith is the fruit of the Spirit Galatians 5 22, don't matter what any other scripture says.
You have to ignore three things

1 you must have faith to receive the Spirit

Receive the Spirit through faith

Acts 2:38 (LEB) — 38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized, each one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Galatians 3:2 (LEB) — 2 I want only to learn this from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Galatians 3:5 (LEB) — 5 Therefore does the one who gives you the Spirit and who works miracles among you do so by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Ephesians 1:13 (LEB) — 13 in whom also you, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, in whom also when you believed you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,

John 7:38–39 (LEB) — 38 the one who believes in me. Just as the scripture said, ‘Out of his belly will flow rivers of living water.’ ” 39 (Now he said this concerning the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were about to receive. For the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus had not yet been glorified.)

Galatians 3:14 (LEB) — 14 in order that the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, so that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

2 you assume a translation of faith opposed to faithfulness is correct.

3 You assume your assumption of faith as a reference to faith in Christ when this had already transpired so that the Spirit could be imparted.

@Blessed

Greetings Blessed, no man's actions/deeds are predetermined of God. While I would agree that the circumstances of our overall life are: birth, parents, spouses, intelligent level, vocation, etc. etc. but, our deeds are our own doings, or else, God would not be a righteous Judge that He will be in that day. We all make choices each and every minutes that he live ~ a child of God with understanding would never deny this truth. Our daily choices determines our joy, peace and happiness, and troubles in this flesh; some choices are not good, and we pay the price for these choices, some may be good, and we also reap the benefits of these choices. We walk by faith, not by God's preordained works that we will do, for many of those are hidden from us, and has not one thing to do with what we do with our daily walk with God. Our sins are our own doings, our righteousness is owing to his mercy to us, by the Spirit's creating a new man within us, by grace alone given freely to us for Christ sake.
Really, Johnny had it wrong then.

In The Institutes, Calvin defines this doctrine in the following manner:

By predestination we mean the eternal decree of God, by which he determined with himself whatever he wished to happen with regard to every man. All are not created on equal terms, but some are preordained to eternal life, others to eternal damnation; and, accordingly, as each has been created for one or other of these ends, we say that he has been predestinated to life or to death. [John Calvin. Institutes of the Christian Religion, ed. John T. McNeill, trans. Ford Lewis Battles, 2 vols. (Philadelphia: Westminster Press, 1960), 3.21.5.]

Aye, there’s the rub … whosoever WILL believe it? Only those who are “TAUGHT by GOD” and “LEARN from the FATHER”!

  • John 6:45 [NKJV] "It is written in the prophets, 'And they shall all be taught by God.' Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me.
  • Romans 9:15-16 [NKJV] For He says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion." So then [it is] not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.
  • Ephesians 2:8-9 [NKJV] For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; [it is] the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Same truth in all 3 verses … it is God who works in you both to will and to do - Philippians 2:13

Congratulations, you have discovered the important truth that Calvin was not an Apostle and his writings are not Scripture. That is why there is no “Calvinist” denomination and the Reformed (and Particular Baptists) more often quote John and Paul (the Apostles, not the Beatles).

But I like the Beatles. “All You Need Is Love”Magical Mystery Tour (1967) that's the year I got drafted, just turned 18.

Unfortunately, they jumped the theological shark and wanted us to “Imagine there’s no heaven, it’s easy if you try.” [As a former atheist, I’ve been there and done that … I do NOT recommend it.]

(PS. thank you for your service. 🫡 )

Indeed those who were the father's would believe his word and come to Christ during the time of Christ's earthly ministry

.
John 6:45 (NASB 95) — 45 It is written in the prophets, ‘AND THEY SHALL ALL BE TAUGHT OF GOD.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me.

As would those who believe Moses

John 5:46 (LEB) — 46 For if you had believed Moses, you would believe me, for that one wrote about me.

Those who had God as their father

John 8:42 (LEB) — 42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your father, you would love me, for I have come forth from God and have come. For I have not come from myself, but that one sent me.

Those desiring the will of God

John 7:17 (LEB) — 17 If anyone wants to do his will, he will know about my teaching, whether it is from God or I am speaking from myself.

Those who were God’s and have kept his word

John 17:6 (LEB) — 6 “I have revealed your name to the men whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours, and you have given them to me, and they have kept your word.

Whatever those scriptures say it cannot overturn faith is the fruit of the Spirit Galatians 5:22
Give it up. Faith in Christ pre-exists the giving of the Spirit.

The Spirit is received through faith

Acts 2:38 (LEB) — 38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized, each one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Galatians 3:2 (LEB) — 2 I want only to learn this from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Do you have any idea that faith is the fruit of the spirit Galatians 5:22
Not the faith in Christ by which one receives the Spirit
