COLD OR HOT ANGER

35) Cold or Hot Anger?

  • In Numbers 31, Israel must take vengeance on the Midianites!

  • So they kill the kings of Midian!

  • But they preserve the females who induced the Israelites to practice fornication and spiritual prostitution against Yah.weh!

  • And the Israelites paid a high price for that!

  • Thus Moses is indignant!

  • So they must kill everyone except the virgins!

  • As usual, The Israelites take the wrong way against Yah.weh!

36) Cold or Hot Anger?

  • In Deuteronomy Chapter 1, Moses tells the Israelites that they refused to get into the promised land!

  • As a consequence, they would die in the desert!

  • Because of them, Yah.weh was angry at Moses and he couldn’t get into the promised land either!

  • Then they decided to get into the promised land against Yah.weh’s will!

  • And they lost against the Amorites!

  • What an obstinate people!

  • So is mankind!

  • They never understand!

  • Because they don’t want to understand!

  • And the doors will be closed as it was when Noah and his family entered into the ark!

  • Being obstinate leads nowhere!

  • Being humble is the only way to open the doors!

37) Cold or Hot Anger?

  • In Deuteronomy Chapter 3, Moses asks Yah.weh to let him get into the promised land!

  • But he and Aaron didn’t give the glory to Yah.weh when the Israelites could get water!

  • But Yah.weh would not listen to Moses!

  • He was still furious with him because of the Israelites!

  • But he listened to Moses each time Moses prevented him from destroying Israel!

  • What belongs to Yah.weh belongs to Yah.weh!

  • There is no possible discussion!

  • Whoever doesn’t understand that will face death!

  • When the Big One occurs, everybody will understand that but it will be too late!

  • It is not possible to play with Yah.weh!

  • When time comes, it is necessary to pay!

38) Cold or Hot Anger?

  • In Deuteronomy Chapter 9, we are told that Israel has no righteousness!

  • Israel is an obstinate people!

  • They provoked Yah.weh in the wilderness!

  • They rebelled against Yah.weh!

  • In Horeb, Yah.weh wanted to annihilate Israel!

  • They made a golden calf!

  • At Tabʹe·rah, At Masʹsah, and at Kibʹroth-hat·taʹa·vah, they provoked Yah.weh!

  • Is that clear enough?

  • It should be!

39) Cold or Hot Anger?

  • In Deuteronomy 25, Yah.weh remembers Israel that Amalek
attacked them when they came back from Egypt!

  • Thus he opposed Yah.weh!

  • So when Yah.weh gets them rest from all their enemies, they must do everything so the name of Amalek will disappear!

40) Cold or Hot Anger?

  • In Deuteronomy 31, Yah.weh tells Moses that he is going to die!

  • And he says that as soon as Moses is dead, Israel will begin to commit spiritual prostitution with the foreign gods that are in Canaan!

  • They will forsake him and break his covenant!

  • Then each time Yah.weh will become angry and strike them with calamities and distresses!

  • And Yah.weh tells Moses to write down a song about rebellious Israel and it will serve as a witness to them!

  • Then Moses tells the song to Israel!

41) Cold or Hot Anger?

  • In Joshua 7, we are told about a new problem!

  • Jericho was destroyed and everything in the city had been devoted to destruction!

  • But a man named Achan took something which was devoted to destruction!

  • As a consequence, Yah.weh was angry at the israelites!

  • Then the Israelites went to destroy the city of Ai!

  • But they lost and had to flee!

  • And it happened because of Achan’s action!

  • Because of what happened to Israel, they stoned Achan and his family!

42) Cold or Hot Anger?

  • In Judges 2, we are told about the covenant between Yah.weh and the israelites!

  • But they kept disobeying Yah.weh!

  • As a consequence, Yah.weh permitted the inhabitants of Canaan to stay in Israel to push the Israelites in the wrong direction!

  • When Joshua died, the Israelites went after other gods!

  • And Yah.weh stroke them and they were in great distress!

  • And Yah.weh raised up judges to save them from their enemies!

  • But each time when a judge died, they went back to corruption and did worse than their forefathers!

  • And Yah.weh would strike them again and again!

43) Cold or Hot Anger?

  • In Judges 3, Yah.weh allows nations to stay in Canaan!

  • It was a way to test Israel!

  • Would they obey Yah.weh’s commandments he had given to their fathers through Moses!

  • Because of their constant unfaithfulness, they were put to the test!

  • As a consequence, they took their daughters as wives and their own daughters to their sons and thus they served their gods!

  • And the situation got worse and worse!

  • Today we can see exactly the same situation!

  • Nothing has changed and won’t change!

  • Thus Yah.weh will clean the earth!

  • Time will come when only those who obey Yah.weh’s commandments will get the promised land!

  • And only them!

  • SIMPLE!

  • It doesn’t matter if men don’t want to understand!

  • Yah.weh is the boss, not man!

  • That is divine balance, divine justice!

  • No human justice which is a joke!

  • And the price they pay is always heavy!

48) Cold or Hot Anger?

- Following Judges 6:1

- Pure patience but then a heavy price to pay!

- According to Judges 6:2, it was total domination by Midian over Israel!

- They had to hide in the mountains in the caves!

- According to Judge 6:3,4, they would destroy their harvests!

- According to Judge 6:6, Israel became poorer and they started calling Yah.weh for help!

- It would happen again and again till Yah.weh would organize the destruction of Jerusalem!

- But Yah.weh did it progressively and twice and the second time it was completely destroyed!

- And it is not better with mankind!

49) Cold or Hot Anger?

- In Chapter 10, the Israelites begin to worship all the gods of the people of the region except Yah.weh!

- So he sells them into the hands of the Philistines and the Ammonites!

- They abandon him as usual!

- As a consequence, Yah.weh becomes very angry!

- So he gives them to the Philistines for 40 years!

- Can we call it anger?

- For me, it looks like a ritual!

- The Israelites never respect their part of the covenant so they pay the consequences!

- They look like children or teenagers who never grow up!

- Finally, Yah.weh sends them a judge to help them!

- Samson!

- Same for mankind!

- Man never grows up!

- He is good for nothing!

- But Yah.weh will put an end to this farce!

- It’s also a good summary of human history!

- Only Yah.weh’s kingdom can put an end to this and turn the earth into a paradise!

52) Cold or Hot Anger?

- Judges chapter 19 is an interesting chapter to understand the reality of Israel!

- We are told about a Levite who travels with his concubine and his attendant!

- He decides to stay in Gibeah which belongs to the Benjaminites!

- An old man offers them hospitality for the night!

- Then people come to his house and they want to have sex with the Levite!

- The old man offers them his daughter and the Levite’s concubine!

- It shows the consequences that can happen because of one or few men to all!

- It happened to Israel!

- It happened to mankind!

- And mankind must see its own destruction because of mankind!

- Let’s see what chapter 21 says!
