Calvinists—are you going to be a vessel of wrath someday?

In the apologist community, we have seen the departure of faith of a well known Calvinist apologist, Tyler Vela, who now argues against Christianity.

Just a short time ago, Tyler showed all the signs of good fruit and was completely convinced he was one of the elect.

Can you, O Calvinist, know for sure whether God has not slated you to fall away one day or not?

Chuck Swindoll preaches a good message about not underestimating Satan.

Satan can cause apostasy from the Christian faith by planting doubts and lies (Genesis 3)1. He fights against your faith (Ephesians 6:12)1. The term apostasy comes from the Greek word apostasia ("ἀποστασία") meaning "rebellion", "state of apostasy", "abandonment", or "defection". It has been described as "a willful falling away from, or rebellion against, Christianity. Apostasy is the rejection of Christ by one who has been a Christian2.

You can avoid apostasy by staying in the Word of God and in prayer. You can also surround yourself with other believers who will encourage you and hold you accountable. It is important to be aware of the tactics of Satan and to guard your heart against his lies. [Sourced with help from BingoChat]
