A Little Salvation story.

Behold

Well-known member
Lets find out who understands..what ISNT Salvation.

Here is a little story.

Its a nice Spring morning, and a Catholic Priest, in a Local Perish in Midville USA, has just finished laying out 2 sets of "baptismal" robes and 2 large white towels, right after He filled up the baptismal pool with water and then heated it with the flip of a switch.

He then steps outside, and looking around he sees a street-person, homeless, that he's seen many times.
The Priest gets his attention, and says.....>"Friend, do you want to go to Heaven when you die".
The street person is surprised by this question, but immediately says.....>"yes i do, father."
The Priest says......ok, come on inside the Church.

Its now 10 mins later and now both the Priest and the Homeless man are wearing the Church's supplied "baptimal robes"..

The Priest now leads the barefoot Homeless man into the warm baptimal waters and begins to lower the homeless man down into the water so that He is submerged.
And while lowering Him, the Priest says outloud, loudly, so that the man can hear...>>"i baptize you in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit".....and then he brings the homeless man back up, and then both go quietly to the dry towels and the fresh robes...

10 mins later the Priest walks the Homeless man to the door of the Chruch, and as the man is leaving the Priest says......Congratulations, you are now a Chrisitan, your sins are all forgiven, and you are going to Heaven.
-

A.) Reader.......... if you believe that this Homeless man is now a Christian and will go to Heaven, then you are truly deceived by a Cult.

You're not telling the story right Behold.

Getting baptized washes your sins away.
BUT even the CC teaches that you must believe and be TRANSFORMED/CONVERTED.

As to the man going to heaven?
Only God knows.

Notice that the homeless man, when asked if he wanted to be saved,
replied YES FATHER.

He wanted to be saved.
God looks at the heart.

Is this a freudian slip??

Not at all........as The Thread's title is crystal clear.
See, its directed at anyone who does NOT understand Salvation, and believes that "water baptism" is salvation.

You're not telling the story right Behold.

It my Story, and its going to do what its designed to do.

Getting baptized washes your sins away.

Water can't wash your sin away, as sin is in your heart, and water just gets your body wet.

So, unless water baptism died on the Cross for your sin, it can't offer forgiveness, or sin cleansing.

Salvation, is based on the BLOOD of Jesus, and that is not water baptism.
Salvation is Jesus on the Cross........ not works, not water, not Mary.

Jesus is Salvation, because He died to Create it as "the BLOOD Atonement" not the water atonement.

BUT even the CC teaches that you must believe and be TRANSFORMED/CONVERTED.

God does require Faith........because we Are "Justified by Faith",.. not by water.

And after we are born again, we should get water baptized.

As to the man going to heaven?
Only God knows.

He never trusted in Christ.
He was not even told He was a sinner needing Christ.
He was told that the water will wash you clean, and God will have you........as that the message, that is unspoken, but is obvious to anyone who understands that THE CROSS of Christ is missing from the Story.

Notice that the homeless man, when asked if he wanted to be saved,
replied YES FATHER.

And he was to get in the Water and then the Priest didnt tell Him the Gospel, because the Priest belongs to a "water cult".
See, Water Baptism, is not the Gospel.

This is why Paul said...>>"Christ sent me not to Water Baptise".

There are a lot of very surprised people who go to Hell after they die, each day, and they were water baptized.

He wanted to be saved.

He wanted to go to heaven..
The Priest never shared the Gospel with Him...>>He just dunked Him, said, "Father, Son, Holy Spirit" and sent him on His way, just as hell bound as He was before He got wet.

God looks at the heart.

God looks at the heart to see if there is Faith in Christ in it...and you can't have that if you dont know to believe in Jesus, and why.

So, getting wet, and hearing "Father, Son, Holy Spirit".......is not The Gospel.

No one can become a "Christian" until the basis for becoming a Christian, is provided....

That Basis is a blood sacrifice that God provides for the forgiveness of Sin, as the NEW Covenant that is the BLOOD OF JESUS shed as the "blood atonement"............NOT Water Baptism.

So, "water Cults" .. teach that Salvation is based on WATER,.. (That water baptism is REQUIRED)... when it fact, Salvation Hung on The Cross, and there was no water around Him, when He died for our Sin.

JESUS Is Salvation.........not Water Baptism.
Jesus is required for Salvation.....not water Baptism.

So, if anyone is teaching Salvation by water baptism...., then that is a False Gospel. = Galatians 1:8.... as that is not Paul's Gospel.
Paul's Gospel has NO WATER BAPTISM IN IT......
Paul's Gospel is the "Gospel of the GRACE of GOD", which is THE Cross of Christ.

Result? The "water Cult" group, are always trying to sell WATER Baptism.......most of all.,as necessary.

God's Salvation, has no Water In it.........because its the BLOOD Atonement...........and that is JESUS on THE CROSS.

It my Story, and its going to do what its designed to do.
What is it designed to do?
Teach something about the CC that the CC does not teach??

Water can't wash your sin away, as sin is in your heart, and water just gets your body wet.
Well, that's not what the NT teaches.

Mark said:
Mark 16:16
16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Is this thread about baptism?
I have many more verses, if so.
So, unless water baptism died on the Cross for your sin, it can't offer forgiveness, or sin cleansing.
The NT teaches that water baptism forgives sin:

Acts 22:16
And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.’

Salvation, is based on the BLOOD of Jesus, and that is not water baptism.
Salvation is Jesus on the Cross........ not works, not water, not Mary.
You have such little regard for a command of Jesus:

Matthew 28:19
19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

Jesus is Salvation, because He died to Create it as "the BLOOD Atonement" not the water atonement.

God does require Faith........because we Are "Justified by Faith",.. not by water.
Never said anything to the contrary.
YOU have stated, in your "story", that a person can be saved by baptism alone.
THAT is as bad as teaching FAITH ALONE.

Both are required...
as per JESUS' instructions to the Apostles.
And after we are born again, we should get water baptized.
Agreed.

He never trusted in Christ.
He was not even told He was a sinner needing Christ.
He was told that the water will wash you clean, and God will have you........that the message, that is unspoken, but is obvious to anyone who understands, THE CROSS of Christ.

And he was to to get in the Water and then the Priest didnt tell Him the Gospel.
See, Water Baptism, is not the Gospel.

This is why Paul said...>>"Christ sent me not to Water Baptize".
We cannot know for sure that Paul baptized NO ONE.
We DO know that Paul was meant to preach to the Gentiles.
God gives to each a measure of faith to do their work for the Kingdom.
There are a lot of very surprized people who go to Hell after they die, each day, and they were water baptized.
YOU don't know who goes to hell.
However, I agree with you.
But did you read my entire post?
Or are you here on this thread just to bash the CC?
He wanted to go to heaven..
The Priest never shared the Gospel with Him...>>He just dunked Him, said, "Father, Son, Holy Spirit" and sent him on His way, just as hell bound as He was before He got wet.
Don't matter Behold.
Just like you stated:
WATER DOES NOT SAVE.
THE GOSPEL DOES NOT SAVE.
JESUS SAVES.
The gospel did not go to the cross....
JESUS went to the cross....
and HE will decide who is saved and who is not.
God looks at the heart to see if there is Faith in Christ in it...and you can't have that if you dont know to believe in Jesus, and why.

So, getting wet, and hearing "Father, Son, Holy Spirit".......is not The Gospel.
God looks at the heart to see if you want to be saved.
A person may not KNOW HOW to be saved....
but may WANT to be saved...
and that person WILL be saved.

Or Jesus died for nothing.

I keep hearing from such as yourself (who do not believe in good works) that the theif on the cross had no time to do good works.

Well,,,,did Jesus have a chance to explain to the thief all of the gospel?
NO.

The thief just expressed a sincere heart for Jesus.

What is it designed to do?

The Thread is designed to expose water cult theology, and those who believe it and teach it.

And it will.

16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Your verse leaves out the Water Baptism, regarding being "condemned" or (Damned), and that is because it the BELIEVING that is what God accepts ..........as our "Faith is counted by God, as Righteousness".

See, People who are under God's Wrath, are UNBELIVERS.......not un-water baptized..

John 3:36

If you read Acts 8......You'll find Philip telling the Eunuch that he may be water baptized, only if He has believed with all his heart, first.

So, its the BELIEVING that God requires, and then the water baptism is just symbolic of the old man of sin being submeged, and the New Creation in Christ rising in newness of life.

The NT teaches that water baptism forgives sin:

Acts 22:16
And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.’

Its the Faith that is the "calling on the Name"... As that Is why Paul is calling on the name.....He has BELIEVED and that is why God saved Paul.

So, as i previously posted, read Acts 8.........or read any other account......as Faith is the Justification, never the water.

We are Justified by FAITH before God, not by Water baptism.

'Its "Grace through faith"......not Grace through Water Baptism.

You have such little regard for a command of Jesus:

Matthew 28:19
19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

Paul was called by Jesus, after your verse was given., after Jesus was back in Heaven.

Paul teaches "Jusrification by Faith"......not water baptism being required for salvation.

Jesus said..>>"All that Believe in Me, i give unto you eternal life"........"and you shall never perish (go to hell)".

So, we see that Jesus does not include Water Baptism.

its "ALL who believe shall be saved"., becasue FAITH is what God accepts, and water is not required.

Never said anything to the contrary.
YOU have stated, in your "story", that a person can be baptized by baptism alone.
THAT is as bad as teaching FAITH ALONE.

What you posted does not make sense.

See, if you are water baptized, you are water baptized by the water baptism.

Both are required...
as per JESUS' instructions to the Apostles.

And later Paul was called by Jesus to be and Apostle, and Jesus gave Him the GOSPEL, that is not related to water.

Its the "Gospel of the Grace of God" = "Justifcation by Faith".

We cannot know for sure that Paul baptized NO ONE.

Paul does not say that he never water baptized a convert.
He said that Jesus didnt send Him to Water Baptize.
So, that is showing us that Its not Required for Salvation.
We DO know that Paul was meant to preach to the Gentiles.

Yes......Paul is the "Apostle to the Gentiles" in the "time of the Gentiles".

YOU don't know who goes to hell.

God showed us who goes to Hell and Why.

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.

New Living Translation
And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.”

English Standard Version
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

Berean Standard Bible
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life. Whoever rejects the Son will not see life. Instead, the wrath of God remains on him.”

Berean Literal Bible
The one believing in the Son has eternal life, but the one not obeying the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."

King James Bible
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

New King James Version
He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

New American Standard Bible
The one who believes in the Son has eternal life; but the one who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”

NASB 1995
“He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

NASB 1977

Legacy Standard Bible
He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

Amplified Bible
He who believes and trusts in the Son and accepts Him [as Savior] has eternal life [that is, already possesses it]; but he who does not believe the Son and chooses to reject Him, [disobeying Him and denying Him as Savior] will not see [eternal] life, but [instead] the wrath of God hangs over him continually.”
Or are you here on this thread just to bash the CC?

i dont "bash", i just expose, and then the Reader is the final Judge.

Here, let me expose.. the "cult of Mary".
-
No Apostles Letters.....refers to Peter as the Leader of the Body Of Christ.

No Apostles Letter, says that Mary is anything other then blessed among woman, and later had other children, and was nearby when Jesus was slain on The Cross.

No Apostles Letter says to collect Dead body Parts, (Catholic RELICS)... but the OT defines this mentally sick behavior as "unclean" and an abomination.

No Apostles Letter says that "mary is co-author of Salvation"

No Apostles Letter says to pray to a Saint or to Pray to Mary

No Apostles Letter says that Water has to be a part of Salvation, as there was no Water Present When Jesus was becoming Salvation as our sin bearer on The Cross.

The Church is. not "built on Peter".....>Its bulit on the Revelation that Peter spoke, which is that """ Jesus is the Son of God, the Messiah."""

THE GOSPEL DOES NOT SAVE.

Notice.. in these verses....What is the "POWER OF GOD".... that "brings Salvation"

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.

New Living Translation
For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile.

English Standard Version
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

Berean Standard Bible
I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, then to the Greek.

King James Bible
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

New King James Version
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

New American Standard Bible
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

Amplified Bible
I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation [from His wrath and punishment] to everyone who believes [in Christ as Savior], to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

God looks at the heart to see if you want to be saved.

Unbelievers dont want to be saved.... they want to keep sinning and keep enjoying it. They never want it to end.

Salvation comes to them, usually, because someone tells them about Jesus, using the Gospel, and "faith comes by Hearing" the Gospel.
God also has other ways to show them their sin, and Jesus as their sin bearer.

A person may not KNOW HOW to be saved....

Yes, and that "Cult of Mary" Priest didnt tellt lhem How., but He got them wet and then sent them on their way to Hell.

I keep hearing from such as yourself (who do not believe in good works)

I do good works all the time.....every single Day.

I even come to "christian" forums when i have time.... and try to rescue people out of water cult mentality, or mormon mentality, or JW mentality, or Calvinism Mentality., or "trying to keep themselves saved" broken faith.. Mentality.
This very TREAD i wrote is a "good work"., but if the person is deeply related to a cult that believes that 'water is a necessary part of God's plain of salvation" and can "wash away sin"...., then of course they are the very people im trying to reach.
God understands this as LOVE....., and if you dont.. then i guess you can't.

Well,,,,did Jesus have a chance to explain to the thief all of the gospel?
NO.

And Jesus took the Thief with Him to Paradise and Preached to those in "Abraham's Bosom".

Baptism washes your sins away?

If you just want to be saved you automatically are?

What are these strange beliefs.

You have to know and understand what Christ did for you and trust in it to be saved.

You cannot just "want" to be saved, lots of people want to be saved.

Baptism washes your sins away?

If you just want to be saved you automatically are?

What are these strange beliefs.

@Dizerner ..

These "strange beliefs" you mentioned.... are "water cult" theology, that is the "cult of Mary" (Catholic Church) doctrine.

See, what they did, was... they created a bible, the "Douay Rheims" that is Satanic.....and in John 3.. they changed the greek texts into this.

1.) "Born again..........BY.....water."

Look again.. reader.

The Satanic Catholic bible, teaches that you are :

"Born again........= BY water.... ""

See that?
Now that is their salvation doctrine, and they have a title for it.

1.) ""
Baptismal Regeneration"".......or "Salvation by Water" and that is why someone who is deceived by this water cult will try to prove that the city water supply "washes away your sin".

Now, what does The NT teach........that "washes away your sin"/ ?????????????????????

A.)_ THE BLOOD OF JESUS..........not water.

So, we see that this "baptismal doctrine" that is found in John 3, in a Catholic bible, is denying the Blood Atonement by replacing it with water baptism.

And that is why the PRIEST in the Story......never told the homeless man anything about Jesus on the Cross, and just led Him directly to the "baptismal regeneration" LIE.......and He walked out of that church, water baptised, having never Trusted in Christ as He was not given THE GOSPEL.......He was just given a bath, and told he is "now a Christian, going to Heaven".

See the problem with a "water cult"?........and these are the same people who will tell you that Acts 2:38... "repent and be water baptized" is.......The Gospel, and of course that is simply not true.

The Thread is designed to expose water cult theology, and those who believe it and teach it.

Baptism is a "water cult theology"?

Not to Jesus it wasn't.
Not to Mark.

Not to Peter it wasn't:

Acts 2:38
38And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Peter said we are to
REPENT
and
BE BAPTIZED
Your verse leaves out the Water Baptism, regarding being "condemned" or (Damned), and that is because it the BELIEVING that is what God accepts ..........as our "Faith is counted by God, as Righteousness".

See, People who are under God's Wrath, are UNBELIVERS.......not un-water baptized..
People that are under God's wrath are those who DO NOT OBEY.
Just like John 3:36 states....
YOUR verse:

John 3:36
36 "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not
obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."

And if you want to change the word OBEY to BELIEVE in part b...
go right ahead...because in Greek DISBELIEVE and DISOBEY are the same.
If you read Acts 8......You'll find Philip telling the Eunuch that he may be water baptized, only if He has believed with all his heart, first.

Your scripture:
Acts 8:34-38
34 The eunuch answered Philip and said, "Please tell me, of whom does the prophet say this? Of himself or of someone else?"
35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture he preached Jesus to him.
36 As they went along the road they came to some water; and the eunuch said, "Look! Water! What prevents me from being baptized?"
37 [And Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."]
38 And he ordered the chariot to stop; and they both went down into the water, Philip as well as the eunuch, and he baptized him.

The Eunich believed. Verse 37
Philip baptized the eunich.
Philip BAPTIZED the eunich.
After a person believes,,,,the NT teaches that the person should be baptized.
So, its the BELIEVING that God requires, and then the water baptism is just symbolic of the old man of sin being submeged, and the New Creation in Christ rising in newness of life.
Yes,,,,first one believes in God.
Then he is baptized, as Jesus commanded.

I wouldn't say baptism is symbolic....
the old man IS crucified...
the Holy Spirit indwells the person baptized.

Matthew 3:11
11 "As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Its the Faith that is the "calling on the Name"... As that Is why Paul is calling on the name.....He has BELIEVED and that is why God saved Paul.
Agreed.
So, as i previously posted, read Acts 8.........or read any other account......as Faith is the Justification, never the water.

We are Justified by FAITH before God, not by Water baptism.

'Its "Grace through faith"......not Grace through Water Baptism.
You're of the group that does not believe in obeying the NT teachings.
The NT teaches that we are to be baptized.
OF COURSE, it's after salvation.

Paul was called by Jesus, after your verse was given., after Jesus was back in Heaven.
What?
You mean Jesus had less authority from heaven?
Sorry, I don't understand your point.
Paul teaches "Jusrification by Faith"......not water baptism being required for salvation.
Oh. So you follow ONLY PAUL.

So Jesus and the other writers are of no importance?

Here is what Paul said about baptism:

1 Corinthians 12:13
13For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit.

Romans 6:4
4We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.

Galatians 3:27
27For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

1. We need to be baptized into one body.
2. We die with Christ in baptism...so we could walk in the newness of life.
3. When we are baptized,,,we put on Christ.

Looks like Paul believed baptism to be important.
Jesus said..>>"All that Believe in Me, i give unto you eternal life"........"and you shall never perish (go to hell)".

So, we see that Jesus does not include Water Baptism.
Do you believe that Jesus SHOULD HAVE mentioned BAPTISM every time He spoke?

This is nonsense Behold, and I won't say more on it.

One Statement by Him should be sufficient.

its "ALL who believe shall be saved"., becasue FAITH is what God accepts, and water is not required.
Again,,,you're not reading the NT.
The NT states we are to be baptized.

Many verse given above and more can be added.
What you posted does not make sense.
Here's what I posted that does not make sense to you...I'll try again:

"Never said anything to the contrary.
YOU have stated, in your "story", that a person can be baptized by baptism alone.
THAT is as bad as teaching FAITH ALONE."

You're right...makes no sense.
Here's what I meant:

Your theory sounds as if some think they could be saved by baptism ALONE.
This is just as bad as those that believe they can be saved by faith ALONE.

There is NO ALONE in the NT.

Baptism ALONE does not save.
faith ALONE does not save.

See, if you are water baptized, you are water baptized by the water baptism.

And later Paul was called by Jesus to be and Apostle, and Jesus gave Him the GOSPEL, that is not related to water.

Its the "Gospel of the Grace of God" = "Justifcation by Faith".
Behold....not every single command is going to be given every single time.

Did Jesus repeat FEED THE HUNGRY at every verse in the NT where He spoke?
No.
But it's still a command.

Paul does not say that he never water baptized a convert.
He said that Jesus didnt send Him to Water Baptize.
So, that is showing us that Its not Required for Salvation.
So you mean that Paul was NOT an Apostle?
He received different instructions from the other Apostles?

But he was martyred for teaching the same "religion".

Yes......Paul is the "Apostle to the Gentiles" in the "time of the Gentiles".
And His Gospel, that Paul stated is '"My Gospel" = 3x in the NT,........... has no water Baptism in it.
Got it.
Paul was teaching something different from everyone else.
Maybe that's why he got called down to Jerusalem for a meeting??

This is nonsense Behold, and I think you're too intelligent to believe this nonsense.
I don't know why you're posting this.

Paul's gospel is not '"repent and get water baptized"....>Its "Believe and Receive".. its our "FAITH is counted by GOD, as Righteousness.."""
We are Justifed before God, by FAITH in Christ...... "Grace through FAITH"... no water required.
Try this:
Try putting together ALL THE DOCTRINE stated in the NT and you'll have a good grasp of Christianity.
STOP cutting it up into little pieces.
God showed us who goes to Hell and Why.

i dont "bash", i just expose, and then the Reader is the final Judge.
You are about to bash not only the CC that believes in baptism...
but also Protestant denominations that believe in baptism.

Baptism has always been part of the church.

Why all these statements about the CC?
I t hought we were discussing baptism.

But the church IS BUILT on Peter.
Sorry if that intimidates you.
It's plain history.
Notice.. in these verses....What is the "POWER OF GOD".... that "brings Salvation"

So?

According to you, the above should state plainly that we DO NOT REQUIRE baptism.
As should every paragraph out of his mouth.

But it does not.

Guess the writer forgot to mention it, once again.

Unbelievers dont want to be saved.... they want to keep sinning and keep enjoying it. They never want it to end.
Agreed.
Eat, drink and be merry.
Salvation comes to them, usually, because someone tells them about Jesus, using the Gospel, and "faith comes by Hearing" the Gospel.
God also has other ways to show them their sin, and Jesus as their sin bearer.
I agree that God has different ways.
Not everyone that is saved has heard the gospel.

Yes, and that "Cult of Mary" Priest didnt tellt lhem How., but He got them wet and then sent them on their way to Hell.
It's not up to the priest Behold.
It's up to THE PERSON.
It's the desire of the heart.
You've become very legalistic.

If we don't follow YOUR procedure 100%...
we cannot possibly be saved...is this the new you?
I do good works all the time.....every single Day.
Then this is what you should be teaching.

Which is what Jesus taught.
FAITH ONLY is a calvinist teaching that never existed in the church from day one.
Placing specific requirements on salvation is not being LOVING.

Here's what is needed to be saved:

1. Believe in God.
2. Obey Him.

Anything beyond that is legalism.

And Jesus took the Thief with Him to Paradise and Preached to those in "Abraham's Bosom".
Maybe Jesus preached to them.....and we don't know what He said.....
But they were already there waiting for the gates of heaven to open.

They were already there....

We are composed of both body and spirit. Both elements needs saving. We are not just matter and we are not just spirit. We are composite beings and we should treat ourselves as such in matters of salvation.

Baptism is a "water cult theology"?

Yes.

See, any "water cult" teaches that "go into all the world and baptize"....is the Gospel.....and its not.

The Gospel is "Believe on the Lord Jesus by FAITH, and you shall be saved".

"Water cult" victums, dont understand The Gospel., and that includes "Cult of Mary" victims.

Acts 2:38
38And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized

Repent and be water baptized is not the Gospel. That is actually taken from John the Baptist, as that is what he told the Jews to do....and Peter said the same in Acts 2.

Whereas......The Gospel is "the preaching of the Cross"..

See, The Gospel has to have Jesus on the Cross in it.... and "repent and be baptised", doesn't.

It only has water in it., and water is just water.

Peter said we are to
REPENT
and
BE BAPTIZED

The Gospel came from Paul, not Peter.

= Galatians 1:8

This is why Paul said that the "Gospel" is "MY Gospel".. 3x, in the NT.

Paui's Gospel, is "The Gospel of the GRACE of God". = No water found....Only the Shed blood and Death of Christ on the Cross.

John 3:36
36 "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not
obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."

To "Obey the Son" is to "believe in Jesus" as that is how you "obey the Gospel".

Water has no part in it.

The Eunich believed. Verse 37
Philip baptized the eunich.
Philip BAPTIZED the eunich.

Philip water baptized the Eunuch only after he had "believed with ALL HIS HEART" first."""

See, FAITH come first, as our "faith is counted by God, as Righteousness" and then God saves us, and then we may be water baptized after we are saved.
Some are water baptized the day they are saved, like Paul... or the Eunuch........ and some are water baptized when its "scheduled" by their Church subsequent to their Salvation..... and some are never water baptized, because they DIE before they are water baptized.

Also, some Countries do not allow Bible or Christians or water baptism, but people will trust in Christ in these countries, but these "underground Christians"....... are not water baptized.

Someone who is on Death Row.......about to be executed...who trust in Christ and is born again in their prison cell........has not time to be water baptized on they way the electric Chair.

An old person, who is dying of Cancer, and is about to die, and is on their death bed, in a Hospital, at 3am.......will trust in Christ and be born again......and then DIE.
They were born again, but they were not water baptized.

So you mean that Paul was NOT an Apostle.

Paul is the "Apostle to the Gentiles'"....and he's the only one.
All the others (12) were chosen by Jesus, when He was on earth, to deal with the "house of Israel".

Later, about 15 yrs after Jesus was back in Heaven........Paul met all the apostles and taught them some church doctrine.

But he was martyred for teaching the same "religion".

Christianity is not a "Religion".

A "Religion" is the "broad way that lead to destruction"..
Its Man made.

Christianity : is God become One of us to offer Salvation through Christ to All of us., as "the Gift of Salvation" that is received by FAITH and not supplied by water baptism.

Christianity is God made, and its based on the "shedding of Blood"....which is the new Covenant, or the "blood atonement", that is The Cross of Christ.

Salvation indeed my friend . But dont expect to see our bodies , the ones we dwell in , WITH US IN PARADISE .
that old contrary flesh , the ol corruptible flesh , GONNA be BEUNO BYE
NOW TO THE TRENCHES .
as far as What saves us , ITS FAITH IN JESUS THE CHRIST .
But WHO we obey is Whose we are .
I seem to notice the early church did water baptize .
EVEN peter water baptized the gentiles , EVEN AFTER THEY SPOKE WITH TONGUES .
SO i keep it real simple . I KNOW WHO saves
JESUS DO .
but jesus dont . now why would i say such a thing .
THAT JESUS saves but jesus dont .
CAUSE MANY FOLLOW ANOTHER FALSE LOVE jesus
and friend THEY GONNA BURN IN THE LAKE OF FIRE .
JESUS dont support sin . And he darn sure corrected sin and error
as did the apostels .
Todays ferry version of jesus that kisses korans , that holds up rainbows
and hollers judge not , COMETH OF SATAN . and MAN we dont wanna follow satan .

We are composed of both body and spirit. Both elements needs saving.

Its the spirit in you, that is born again. spiritually .......not your body, or your mind.

"Your body is dead because of sin", ...and will be replaced by a New Body that is designed for the '"new creartion, in Christ".

The body you are in right now, is going to be put in a box, and then into a hole in the ground, or they'll cremate you.
Have you decided which you prefer @synergy ??? as Hebrews 9:27 is going to find you.

Also, Your mind, needs to be renewed, after you are born again, or it will remain carnal..
And you faith has to become grounded in God's Grace, or you'll end up "fallen from Grace".

Do what Hebrews 13:9 tells you to do with your HEART, or the verse explains what will happen to you, if you dont.

Use a KJV for this verse.

Peter said we are to
REPENT
and
BE BAPTIZED

People that are under God's wrath are those who DO NOT OBEY.
Just like John 3:36 states....
YOUR verse:

John 3:36
36 "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not
obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."

And if you want to change the word OBEY to BELIEVE in part b...
go right ahead...because in Greek DISBELIEVE and DISOBEY are the same.

Agreed.

You're of the group that does not believe in obeying the NT teachings.
The NT teaches that we are to be baptized.
OF COURSE, it's after salvation.

What?
You mean Jesus had less authority from heaven?
Sorry, I don't understand your point.

Do you believe that Jesus SHOULD HAVE mentioned BAPTISM every time He spoke?

This is nonsense Behold, and I won't say more on it.

One Statement by Him should be sufficient.

Again,,,you're not reading the NT.
The NT states we are to be baptized.

Many verse given above and more can be added.

Behold....not every single command is going to be given every single time.

Did Jesus repeat FEED THE HUNGRY at every verse in the NT where He spoke?
No.
But it's still a command.

So you mean that Paul was NOT an Apostle?
He received different instructions from the other Apostles?

But he was martyred for teaching the same "religion".

Got it.
Paul was teaching something different from everyone else.
Maybe that's why he got called down to Jerusalem for a meeting??

This is nonsense Behold, and I think you're too intelligent to believe this nonsense.
I don't know why you're posting this.

Try this:
Try putting together ALL THE DOCTRINE stated in the NT and you'll have a good grasp of Christianity.
STOP cutting it up into little pieces.

Agreed. All the different versions are not necessary.

just a real necessary and friendly , but dire dire needful reminder .
THE CC and a number so high within the protestant realm , THEY LEAD THIS PEOPLE TO THE DRAGON .
that might sting a bit , but good medicine often does .
I already know the early church water baptized and etc .
But the unholy harlot has led her people and this people INTO TOTAL DARKNESS NOW .
and they grope hand in hand as the blind lead the blind to perdition . That aint me being judgemental .
ITS JUST a plain fact . I suggest and highly suggest , even beg , even plead , even warn
all they better get back into JUST reading the bible for their own selves .
Cause time is running out and many are on the road to perdition .

Yes.

Follow Paul Behold.
Forget about Jesus and what HE taught.

Your entire post above is preaching a different gospel.
YOU are the one who is against different gospels.

You have invented one all your own.

I said I wouldn't contribute to a heretical thread...
this is a heretical thread, so I'm leaving.

Baptism has been part of the Christian religion from the beginning.
Whatever was at the beginning....
is good enough for now too.

Paul did not contradict JESUS
NOR did any other apostle . Many who so called follow paul
follow a paul that PUAL HIMSELF had rebuked so harshly and so fast.
MANY do not and did not learn that bible for themselves .
And now the deceived of christendom will merge with the false religoins
and all under what they beleive is GOD , is LOVE . DAMNED WILL THEY ALL BE .
i aint got time to play around . THIS IS Deadly
what i have watched come upon this people . ITS LOVE is of the dragon
its father is satan , its christ is anti christ and its mother IS THE HARLOT .
I do not have time to play around or to down tone anything . WE BETTER BIBLE UP RIGHT NOW
for our own selves . AND DO NOT look back .

Of course Paul didn't contradict the bible.
But persons pit the two against each other as if they taught differently.

Jesus taught HOW we are to live.
Paul taught HOW we are to live in all of his writings.

Jesus spoke of being baptized.
Paul spoke of being baptized.

It's tiring to have to speak to persons that are clearly not following what the bible teaches.
Is it the denominations?
Is it their own religion-making theology?

I'm not sure anymore.
I just know that it's wrong.

It's going to be a transfigured body that we will have in Heaven but a body nevertheless. Matter has its value in the Kingdom. Matter becomes transfigured with the Holy Spirit.
