When Jesus walked away.....

Knowing what each of you know about Jesus, I believe we can all agree that when Jesus walks away from anyone..........

We know it is meaningful and dangerous.

After Jesus feed the five thousands, he left the multitude and moved on. When I say "moved on", it is rather obvious in the narrative that Jesus left for a very specific reason. I'm not going to say what it was. Read it for yourself. Have some "skin in the game".

What I will share is the verse that shows that the people left behind were very concerned.

Joh 6:24 When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.

So why did Jesus "walk away" and how does this affect your theology?

John 6:15Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and make him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by himself.

It doesn’t effect my theology a bit!

I would reference a little later in the chapter when the very people Jesus walked away from asked Him why he left.

Jhn 6:26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

Have you noticed that Jesus never really chased anyone in His ministry over and over again. Jesus didn't even mind calling Peter "Satan".

There are these opposing narratives with Calvinism and Arminianism were extremes are formed in the discussion.

Calvinaits would have you think that God only loves them and endlessly seeks them for His own benefits. While Arminians believe God chases endlessly after every man after their own benefit.

Do you believe God lets us have it "our way"? I tend to believe He does.
