Thanks everyone for the welcome! I found your forum because one thing I have done for decades in my Christian walk is to model myself after the Bereans. That early group of believers were commended by Paul because they diligently studied the Scriptures and carefully weighed all other teachings against the inerrant, revealed Word of God in the Bible.
I was searching around for Christian discussion forums (which seem to be few in number these days) and this forum is one of the results that popped up in response to my query.
I have been a believer for more than 45 years, yet I feel I still have so much to learn about the Lord and His Word.
forty five years . What a wonderful thing indeed my friend .
Its been a mere nineteen years for me .
Still remember the first day very well . What a heart change occurred
and what a love for GOD , sent by HIM upon my heart .
And right into the bible he put me . Been feasting daily on it ever since .
So much heaviness and sadness for many i do have .
Many within christendom no longer realize what it has lost
and worse they are still lost and have no idea .
Seeing you have been serving the LORD for now over forty five years
I sure bet you can easily understand what i say next .
Did you know that satan himself can say GOD IS LOVE
And did you know that he can use the name of JESUS and yet
presents another flesh feeding jesus that has made the road to GOD very broad
as by its love it now cliams ALL religoins serve the same God .
Satan can lie and he knows how to twist scrips which feed the lustful hearts desires .
But why would he do this .
Because satan wants all to remain dead and end up in the second death .
JESUS saves and HE can and do set the captives free . We must double down all efforts
to preach JESUS the CHRIST and get all back into the bible again
for to be refreshed and reminded , stirred up by that pure way of remembrance .
Because men can lie . BUT GOD cannot , HE IS TRUTH , HIS WORD IS TRUTH , THE SPIRIT is truth
and His words are Truth . Test all men against those words .
