4. Copy and paste of large amounts of text.

4a
. Please limit your posts to 10K characters or less and do not copy & paste large amounts of content.

4b. Feel free to copy and paste your own writings. But please limit the amount of copy and paste of text from websites and include a link for members to read the rest of the article. What would be ideal would be one paragraph and then the link to the rest of the information. No more than 2 cut and pastes per day, per thread. Educators teach rules governing the length of paragraphs. They say that a paragraph should be 100 to 200 words long, or be no more than five or six sentences.

4e. When quoting another poster do not change their content or words which will result in a temporary ban or vacation from the forum.

4f. Do not plagiarize. If it’s not your work quote or reference the source material you are posting. This includes misrepresenting the source material.

5. All Caps

5a.
Do not use all caps in your name, the title if any threads you start or in your posts. typing in all caps is essentially considered yelling in online communication. It is sometimes useful for emphasis but can also be rude and offensive. A few words are fine but not large blocks of texts.

If you have any questions or concerns private message one of the administrators.

Freedom of speech on our forum.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

We not only believe in the Constitution and the founders freedom of speech and assembling together but we believe in your freedom to think and believe differently as well.

You do not have to believe like us and can disagree with me all you want and never have to worry about retaliation, censorship, banning, ridicule, mockery, bullying etc.......

The one and only thing we ask here is to respect the beliefs of others and treat them as you would like to be treated- the Golden Rule. Its your right to believe the way you do and to feel safe about it. And its ok to question the beliefs of others and disagree with them. An online forum is designed to discuss those differences, defend them and give a reason why you believe the way you do without fear of intimidation by others. I don't have to agree with you and vice versa but we can respect one another and treat each other as adults and act like adults in the process and not like children throwing tantrums which is evident on many other online places.

Also an online forum is not the church so the things that might apply to a church denomination with elders, pastors, deacons and church leadership with accountability to that leadership do noy apply here. No one here is your pastor or elder. You have a local church for that and this is not a church. That is not to say we cannot have fellowship online but that is much different than in person with those you meet with on a regular basis in your home groups, Sunday school classes, prayr meetings and Saturday/Sunday services.

We welcome people of all faiths and for example if you are a Catholic you will not be mocked or ridiculed about Mary , the saints , sacraments or anything else in your faith. That is disrespectful. Even though I personally disagree with Catholics on many things about doctrine I will not let it interfere with a friendly discussion on what you believe and why you believe it. I watched on another forum recently the admin/moderator mocking the poster for believing in Mary and ridiculing them. That is despicable and it will not happen here or be tolerated. It’s your right and you are free to believe and think differently than I believe. I will respect your beliefs and we can talk about them as adults. The same goes for any unitarians, modalists or any other religious beliefs. You will not be mocked or ridiculed.

If you ever see me doing this please call me out. I'm accountable to everyone here. And just because this is my forum doesn't mean I can behave any differently than you and I have a free pass to act like a hypocrite. That is what Pharisees did which Jesus condemned.

hope this helps !!!

Meaning of our Forum name

Why we chose our name "Berean Apologetics Ministry"

Acts 17:11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

1 Peter 3:15 But in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give a defense to everyone who asks you the reason for the hope that is in you. But respond with gentleness and respect

Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, So one person sharpens another.

Ephesians 4:11-12 So, Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

John 13:35 By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another

Summary- In the essentials unity, in the non-essentials charity and in all things liberty. As believers who search the scriptures like good Bereans we confirm that what is being taught is true. We provide answers to those who ask about our faith and doctrines we believe with love, respect and gentleness. God has provided us with gifted pastors and teachers here at B.A.M to build up the body until we all grow up in unity of faith. When we ask questions and receive answers, we practice the iron sharpening iron principle. And last but not least by loving and respecting each other we show what Jesus said- all men will know we are His disciples by your love for one another.

The above is the condensed version for the purpose of this forum. I have been on different christian forums for the past 20 years and know what I like and do not like from each of them and wanted to create a different environment for believers to discuss theology with other believers. And everyone that has been invited to participate I know from those above mentioned forums. So I thought you would enjoy a forum with these principles as its foundation and its purpose.

hope this helps !!!
