The Myth of Pelagianism

Dates are irrelevant since calvie boy quoted him 2,000 times. That supports the facts I made about his aberrant doctrines that originated with Augustine. :)

This is why I have zero respect for ANYTHING you say. Not only are you incapable of admitting when you're wrong, you have to cover for it by saying something snarky that implies the other person is wrong.

You are wrong and misrepresented what I said. Calvie got his doctrines from Augustine which is an undisputed historical fact. You twisted it and derailed that point into a time issue which is nothing but a smokescreen.

Like I said, this is why I have zero respect for ANYTHING you say. Not only are you incapable of admitting when you're wrong, you have to cover for it by saying something snarky that implies the other person is wrong. Here. Let me show you how honesty works:

Yes, you're right Augustine couldn't be a Calvinist. What I meant was that Augustine's writings inspired much of what Luther and Calvin wrote.

But that's too difficult for you, because you have to try to make it look like I did something wrong.

I have always said Calvin got his teachings from Augustine . Show me anywhere I have said differently?

You also said "Calvinists like Augustine" as if Augustine was a Calvinist. And you still won't admit it. If I keep responding, you'll carry on like this forever, because you're incapable of admitting you said something wrong.

Many reformers got their beliefs from Augustine. Besides Calvin, Luther also quoted and believed Augustine's writings extensively. That's why Luther is a strict predeterminist just like Calvin.

Augustine was all over the map in his writings to the point that Luther and his Catholic opponents both quoted Augustine in their feud over the doctrine of Justification. This could be classified as comical if it wasn't so tragic.

Yes its tragic how so many have believed the heretical teachings of augustine over the centuries. When Jesus and the Apostles talk about those who have crept into the church with their deceiving doctrines he is a perfect example of who and what they are describing.

A vision, there is this man swinging a flag in the wind, the sun is about to set.

On one side of the flag is written "false"

on the other "Pelagian"

end of vision .. lol

Who said he got it right? Name some of his contemporaries. Name 1 church council that defended his heresies.
So what council decrees do you accept and which ones do you reject. They hardly ever agreed with one another over a span of hundreds of years. If you're going to appeal to the authoritative decrees from these councils, at least be consistent or recognize your false sincerity in such.
