4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; That the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
5 For they have consulted together with one consent: They are confederate against thee:
6 The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; Of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; The Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 Assur also is joined with them: They have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.

As the Gentile church has many false doctrines under their so-called 'belt of "truth,'" there may just be one more to consider. The possibility that the ten-nation "beast" of Daniel and Revelation just might not be a European phenomenon but a middle eastern confederacy.
Since a study of the descendants and history of these ten peoples is too great and long for this post, I thought I would tickle your ears, or rub your eyes, and give this out for a possibility. All these peoples exist today.
In dealing with biblical prophecy all of it centers around Israel and the various clans of people she has interacted with throughout her history, clans that live in the middle east. You might be able to tie a European people today to the bible, but not all ten. Greeks, Assyrians, Babylonians, Romans, all these eastern Mediterranean and eastern nations are in the bible, but not NATO. Nor is the United States, the greatest and most powerful political, economic, and military in all of history is not in Scripture.
What is the battle cry of the Persians/Iran, or Hamas, or other groups of people we've been hearing since Israel became a nation in 1948? Wipe Israel off the map? One day, it just might seem as though it may happen, but God is not done with His people. Christ Himself will descend with the armies of heaven and destroy Israel's enemies, God's enemies, and Christ's enemies to submission.
And when the nuclear dust clears only Israel will stand victorious.
Only Israel.
