SERVING GOD

What is the predominant teaching in the Gentile fellowships today? The same has been for hundreds of years. Christians take a call God gave to someone else and think He's speaking to them, such as the command Christ gave specifically to His disciples/apostles to herald the message of Messiah's arrival to the twelve tribes scattered throughout the then-known world, a message for a people who long-awaited God's Promised Redeemer-King to sit on the throne of David.

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:7–8.

This command Christ gave to His eleven disciples. But what do churches do in their sermons? They use commands like this given specifically to others, people that have long-since passed away into the Lord's Presence and instruct Christians to "take the gospel out to unbelievers" and to "share Jesus" with everyone they meet, thus misapplying the training and admonition of the Scriptures and in effect making EVERYONE an apostle with the same calling. How stupid and ignorant is that?

When a person is born-again God baptizes that person into the body of Christ. The body is many members. An eye, an ear, a nose, a chin, a lung, a spine, a spleen, a foot, a mouth, hands, certain fingers, etc. The problem is that when there is a true conversion leaders in a church that has that individual or individuals don't know the first thing about how a body part works, what its function, what its spiritual gifts, what is its pound or talent. They cookie-cut Christians into the same mold, that is, "Go preach Jesus." Everyone. Well, is everyone in the body of Christ a mouth? Where's the thumb, or the ear, or the big toe?

A fellowship that does this harms the body of Christ by misusing, overlooking, ignoring actual persons with specific place in the body and calling (if there is an actual call on that person.) A fellowship that does not discern the Lord's body sins against Christ and so that fellowship is dysfunctional and is certainly not being used of God for its particular purpose in the community. They have shot themselves in the foot and in the brain. What a shame.

I'd say maybe a handful of members here have heard from God directly and know their place in the body, their call, their spiritual gifts, their pound, their talent and serve God in an internal witness and external witness. There are no secrets in the Lord's body. We're supposed to have a Head but from what I've seen through the decades church leaderships have made Christ the tail and in their own blindness and self-deception THINK they are in God's will when they are not. I can see this everywhere.
EVERYWHERE.
