San Lorenzo, Ecuador

I haven’t made it down there. My wife is going there next month for a couple of weeks with my son in law. They will be moving in September/ October.
Oh, okay. You had said you were going in Feb of 2024, so I thought you went; but I hadn’t heard anything about it, thus my question.

my wife is flying their tomorrow with my son in law and one of the elders wife ( he is one of the guys in my Saturday morning mens discipleship group at my house). His wife is fluent in Spanish and spent a couple of her college years in Equador and loves the people there. She has been on 2 mission trips there over the past 2 years and is there to support my wife. Not sure what the future holds yet but if my wife finds purpose and meaning there besides the fact our grandchildren with be living there, then there is a chance we would go there too. I already think for me there would be ministry with the Expats for home groups and mens discipleship. It all hinges on my wife. So your prayers would be appreciated. They will be coming back on the 28th of August.

Here are some pics of my son in law, daughter and grandkids going to Ecuador on October 15th. Please keep them in your prayers. Thank you BAM family :)

Last night was Bitter/Sweet . We took the family to SFO as they departed on their way to Ecuador. They have a short stay in Panama today then will be on their way to San Lorenzo, Ecuador. They just arrived in Panama. Prayers appreciated.

Praying for God's protection and for their ministry in Ecuador.
Thanks brother we are going to miss them. Good thing for FaceTime. They lived only 6 miles from us and we saw them all the time. There is a chance we may end up there, God willing. If my wife wants to go then I'm packing my bags. :)

Have you read up on Catholic practices? My advice, for whatever it's worth, is to go easy on Catholics. I'm not Catholic nor will I ever become Catholic but I've come to appreciate the first ~800 years of their History, especially their Christology (Eucumenical Councils, etc...).

Yes my son in law grew up catholic so he will build a bridge with them.

Dear Forever Family,

Nick Niacaris is my father-in-law, mentor, brother-in-Christ, and much more than words adequately capture. Thank you for the invitation to your forum, prayers, and consideration. My wife and I have been overwhelmed by the influence, opportunities, and support God has lavished on our family and ministry. The plan was to answer God's calling to San Lorenzo, Manta, Ecuador, a fishing town of about 2,500, with only the Catholic and JW churches as spiritual nourishment. We aimed to take the first year to learn/master the language and build relationships. Last Saturday, 2/22/25 we celebrated the opening of our first home church service and the hosting of our first mission team from Northern California. God has different plans for this town. He's fast-tracked the growth, provided the laborers, and continues to amaze us daily.

We're taking this time to celebrate, journal, and digitally document God's faithfulness. Documenting these mountain-top experiences provides the tackling fuel needed for the imminent valleys that lie ahead. Until then, we pray this message finds it well with your souls as you continue to present your bodies as a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1-2), thank you again!

We're attaching some videos and shared Google photo albums if you feel led to journey with us. We bleed intergenerational teaching, learning, and loving. Clink on the numbered links below to check out how God's bridging the gaps through these intentional projects.
