Paul's Theology 1....Put On : CHRIST

Reader,

In Romans 13:14 we read where Paul said/wrote: """'Put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.""

This verse is not saying....>If you put on the Lord, you are then to also not make provision for the flesh..
No.
The verse is teaching that the putting on of the Lord Jesus The Christ = is HOW you "make no provision for the flesh".

So.....Make sure you understand that, as its very important for you to know.

1.) Ok, so, how do you do that?

Well, you start by actually being born again. and water baptism can't do that for you.
Being SAVED..... means that God has to forgive all your sin and then give your spirit a "quickening", which is the literal reconnection of your spirit INTO God's Holy Spirit by Spiritual Birth... This is what it means to be "Born......again". = to become a "new Creation, in Christ".

To be born again, means that you have been reestablished spiritually with God, exactly as Adam was before He sinned and lost this spiritual union.
See....God became one of us to restore spiritual union for everyone who will "Believe on Jesus" and be born again.
Being born again, is God restoring ETERNAL spiritual union with you, into Himself. as "one with God" "In Christ".
The reason that its eternal, is because God became a Virgin born man 2000 yrs ago, and created an eternal blood atonement that is Christ on the Cross, the New Covenant... And this is an ETERNAL Redemption paid for by the blood of Jesus...., and you have it if you are born again.

Reader......God the Holy Spirit births your spirit into His, by His Holy Spirit. = BORN.... again.

Welcome To : SALVATION

And reader, that's not your body and its not your mind.

So, when you read that the born again are "in Christ', "one with God" "seated in heavenly places", and have become "as JESUS IS...so are the born again in this world"..... = Then you must realize that your body is not included and your mind is not included.
Your body is "dead because of sin" and is going to be replaced.
And Paul teaches that we are to renew our mind so that its no longer worldly, carnal, or double.

2.) Now, just forget your body,....

as its going to be replaced, and lets simply understand what is LEFT.... that you have to deal with.. which is your soul realm that is your mind, your thinking.<, as this is where we "put on Christ".
So,
Again.
The born again SPIRIT.. is the "Son/Daughter of God".....and that is not your body or your mind.
Your NT teaches that the born again are "seated in Heavenly places, in Christ" and that is not your body or your mind.
That is your Born again Spirit.

3.) Now, lets get to the "put on Christ" reality.

How to do it...

Its very simple... you have to take your mind and your faith and let it become and always remain God's perspective of who you have become as a BORN AGAIN Spirit.
As THIS is the : CHRISTian....
This is the "SON/Daughter" of God.
This is the "new Creation" in Christ.
And...When you do that, when you stay there in your Mind of FAITH you have : "worked out your salvation".

So, you have to no longer think of yourself as your body and your emotions, and your thinking.... as all of that is just a part of what is not joined to God.
See, this is why you can be thinking about Jesus, and 10 seconds later you are thinking about Pizza or Netflix, or your bank account.
See that? That is your natural mind and its not connected to God.. Its connected to your lust, your desire, your feelings, and its going to be controlled by them, and this is often based on what this world wants you to see and do, next.

Reader....When your Bible tells you to be in the world but not OF IT, its talking about how this world will control your MIND...Thinking....and BELIEF system.

So, to get away from all that, is to "put on Christ" and then you wont make provision to do carnal deeds or live like the world directs..., and that is because your carnal mind is not running your life and.... ruining your faith... when you have "put on Christ".

4.) Here is what it means to "put on Christ".

"Having the Mind of Christ", and that is, to """ put on the HELMET of Salvation"""" that is a part of """ the Armor of God."""
Go and study all that out., as you have to do some study, Reader., as in that place is where God will open the scriptures for you.
"Study to show yourself approved"... to GOD.

Now..
See that Helmet of SALVATION? ?? And Jesus is Salvation..
See that?
That is "put on Christ"......as that is the Helmet. That UNDERSTANDING.
And when you understand that Jesus is Salvation, and not you doing anything like trying to stay saved......then this change in your mind that is REAL FAITH will cause you to never again see yourself as anything but a born again Spirit, living in God, and that is God's mind, reader.
That is how God sees all the born again, and you are to put on that "mind".
You have to get that mind, and then KEEP IT, as the Devil will try to get you out of that mind and back into the wrong "carnal" one.
He will come to you, with cults, with commentaries, with Forum deceivers, and He will try to take this seed, this revelation from you, once you SEE IT.
So, YOU have to get the revelation and then YOU have to maintain it.

5.) See that?

That is real faith in operation as the renewed mind that is God's perspective.
That is the "mind of Christ".. that is the "Helmet of Salvation"..
= You have to start to see yourself as "one with God", already, as you are there already, if you are born again.

See, God is "up there"..... and He sees you, if you are really born again = as always "in Christ" and "one with God".

YOU see you, as down here, in a body, with feelings and moods and so forth, but that is not how God sees you.
So you have to get HIS MIND and let it become your continual perspective of who you are become as born again as "one with God" "In Christ".

6.) Here is how God sees you...

He sees you as eternally spiritually joined to Him...already in the Kingdom of God.... Born again.....= sinless, made righteous, and waiting to get your new body and exist in it.

SEE THAT?

Put on that revelation of who you have become as "one with God".
Get that Mind, and watch how your Christianity becomes a living breathing manifestation of God's Grace.
Learn, LEARN the discipline of always seeing yourself as God sees you, as that is your HELMET of Salvation, = will protect your mind from deceivers, deception, the devil's "fiery darts" (lies and temptation)..... and this MIND of Real FAITH will cause your sin consciousness, to fade, fade........fade.

Where to start putting on Christ?

A.) Go directly to Hebrews 13:9 and do what the verse says to do with your HEART, and never let that depart.

If I may, I think this thought needs to be completed to complement what you just wrote before it, and it is this:

From God's eternal existence He "sees" us the same way He contemplated us and that is ALSO in a new body.

There is no 'time' in God's perceptions of us. There is no "waiting to get a new body." He sees us as He has contemplated us and this includes a new body, complete, finished. Done.
And if I may add...again, from God's eternal perspective everything that has been said is done, we are all who are named in the book of life of the lamb slain, with God and enjoying Him IN Himself, eternally.

First, the Nature of God is that He is eternal. We with finite minds cannot fully understand the in-finiteness of God's nature but I believe this: God is eternal.
We cannot comprehend Him with our 'spatial' minds.
When I say "spatial" I mean it in this sense: We can only "see" within the confines of our "spatial" minds.
Example: If I were to ask you to close your eyes and "see" God you might say "I see God as a white light."
BUT that white light would be surrounded by shade or darkness with a white light at the center. That's fine. I close my eyes and only see shade or darkness, too.

In the case of Saul this is his experience:

3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: Acts 9:3.

The result was blindness. But his blindness was not the normal blindness of say, a blind man, who sees darkness. In Saul's field of 'sight' of his blindness he saw only white light. In his blindness he didn't see darkness he saw white light. Totally. Spatially.

Since eternalness is the nature of God, we cannot comprehend what this is. There is a breach between our spatial minds and the eternalness of God. We can never in this realm understand what it means that God "fills" all things (Eph. 4:10.)

Now, having said that, and this is a tough one...when Scripture speaks of heaven as a place I agree. But this "place" is God Himself. I have to say that because Scripture also says that if God is eternal and eternalness is the nature of God, and Scripture says God gives [shares] His glory with no one, I cannot agree that this 'heaven' as being eternal and being a 'place' because if heaven is an actual place, then God would have given or shared His glory in a 'thing' and that thing being a 'place' called 'heaven.' You following me here?

So, from God's eternal perspective all things have been said and done, Christ has already 'arrived,' conquered all His enemies including death, and He is right now sitting on His throne and the eternal - not beginning - is already here - and we are with God and IN God, a 'place' called 'heaven.'
I believe that when God contemplated creating man, He saw His elect as saved creatures. That's the only way God can 'see' us, for there is no sin in God, there is no death in God. But in our present realm of TIME, we see ourselves as sinful creatures - yes, saved, born again - but still in our bodies of this death suffering the effects of sin upon our being. We have cemeteries and men do still die regardless of Christ atoning and taking away our sin to Himself - which is what killed Him - and we are born again - except our bodies. It is our bodies that die which leads us to a grave if the Lord tarries. If we are a three-fold being in our salvation - body, soul, and human spirit - and if our bodies still die, then in one sense we are only two-thirds saved. The only thing left for God to do is change our bodies from corruption to incorruption and this occurs when Christ returns in the twinkle of His eye. Does this sound reason-able?

God gives [shares] His glory with no one,

That would be His "Godhead".... or His "Father" status, that God does not share.

However, as Jesus is "God manifested IN the Flesh""", virgin born.. .HE, (the God man) does share His (God's) glory with the born again.

How? Its by the born again being "IN Christ" and "one with God"..

Its the same as all the born again becoming these...

"heirs of God"
"joint heirs with Jesus'

So, here is the God man, sharing His "glory" with the redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb.... that He received from The Father,

John 17:22

I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one—

“I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one.

The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one,

I cannot agree that this 'heaven' as being eternal and being a 'place' because if heaven is an actual place, then God would have given or shared His glory in a 'thing' and that thing being a 'place' called 'heaven.

Lucifer was cast out of "Heaven".

Jesus "ascended" back to Heaven, and is now "sitting on the right hand of God", in Heaven.

Jesus is in Heaven, "making intercession" for the born again...

Jesus refers to "Heaven" as "His Father's House" in John 14:2.

So, there is Heaven, and there is the Kingdom of God... and those are not the same.
