Male Bride of Christ married to Male Jesus.

This came to mind: There is a male dominated body of Christ, also referred to as the bride of Christ, and there's Jesus who's obviously male.

What's with the same sex marriage being clearly illustrated in the scriptures?

Ephesians 5:25-27
(25) Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for her;
(26) That He might sanctify and cleanse her by the washing of water with the word,
(27) That He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that she should be holy and blameless.

Ah, so all the males are being turned into women. Good to know.

You know, in terms of headship ... if we had more woman pastors, it would look less like a bunch of males being excited to marry another male. However, since the religion is dominated by males by history and proof texts, it just looks that way - it's another issue with consistency.

Your thinking is in contradiction to what the Bible commands (1 Timothy 2:12).

See Proverbs 14:12.

What a ludicrous interpretation of Christ's church, his bride in the OP's statement !

Are you against God's order as he sets up his church with authority, according to bishops, deacons and elders, being the husband of one wife?
Mark 10:7-9 KJV
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; and they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

It’s the differences in roles within the relationships God designed in the family and the church- to reflect our Creator who also has differences in their roles as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

My general answer to this kind of thought is: humans procreate and God and sons co-create.

The bride is a metaphor and so is the wedding.

I have around 15 parallel thought processes going regarding biblical interpretation. However, sometimes a weird one really stands out. Thus this thread.

Thanks Frank, you're correct. Just as Father, and Son, are not Biological Genders. you ruffled some feathers. ... (smile).

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28

It is clear that “neither male nor female” refers to our salvation status. All people, whether male or female, must be saved the same way, through faith in Christ, and once they are saved, they have the same rights and privileges of salvation, being equal members of the family of God.
