Looking for Jesus according to Matthew

We will be with Jesus way before then.

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8

- When we look at revelation chapter 7, we are told about two groups of people, a limited one and an unlimited one!

- The second one is about people who come out of the great tribulation!

- and the Lamb will be their shepherd!

- In next message, i will speak about Revelation chapter 14!

- Right at the beginning of chapter 14, we are told that the Lamb will stand on mount Zion with the limited group!

- We are also told that they have been redeemed from the earth!

- They have been redeemed from among men as firstfruits to God and to the lamb!

- If there are firstfruits, it also means there are other fruits!

- Then in Revelation chapter 20, we are told about those who are going to be priests of Christ and they are going to reign with him for a thousand years on his subjects who will live on the earth!

- At the end of the 1,000 years, the devil will be released and will deceive the nations of the four corners of the earth!

- He will assemble them for battle!

- It is said that as usual their number is like the sand of the seashore!

- They will try to destroy thowe who are faithful to Yah.weh!

- But they will be destroyed and so will be the devil!

- And the book of life will be opened and people will be judged!

- The faithful ones will live and the others will die!

- And after no more people will die!

- I was looking for a text giving figures about the New Jerusalem!

- here it is!

  • Revelation chapter 21: we are told about the New Jerusalem coming down out of heaven out of God!
  • It has nothing to do with the Jerusalem on earth!
  • it shines with the glory of God!
  • Its radiance was like a most precious jewel, like a jasper, as clear as crystal!
  • The dimensions of this celestial Jerusalem are equal in length and width and height!
  • Hence, 12,000 stadia = @ 1,500 miles. “A city this size would occupy the entire Mediterranean world from Jerusalem to Spain” (Phillips, 644). You may recall that the Holy of Holies inside the tabernacle was a perfect cube as well (1 Kings 6:20).
  • The city's wall is 144 cubits thick, which is about 216 feet or almost 66 meters. Generally, a wall is constructed to provide security and/or privacy. But most walls are only a foot (30 cm) or less thick. The massive size of these walls not only implies strength, it suggests the enormous scale of the rest of the city.
  • The wall was made of jasper, and the city itself of pure gold, as pure as glass. 19The foundations of the city walls were adorned with every kind of precious stone:
The first foundation was jasper,

the second sapphire,

the third chalcedony,

the fourth emerald,

20the fifth sardonyx,

the sixth carnelian,

the seventh chrysolite,

the eighth beryl,

the ninth topaz,

the tenth chrysoprase,

the eleventh jacinth,

and the twelfth amethyst.

21And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, with each gate consisting of a single pearl. The main street of the city was pure gold, as clear as glass.

  • 22But I saw no temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, because the glory of God illuminates the city, and the Lamb is its lamp. 24By its light the nations will walk, and into it the kings of the earth will bring their glory.f 25Its gates will never be shut at the end of the day, because there will be no night there.

- then if we go to Revelation 22:14, we are told again about the second group:

14Blessed are those who wash their robes,c so that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter the city by its gates.

Revelation 7:9

- To answer Krille K:

1) First of all, my approach isn't meant to be optimal or the best! It's simply a way of doing things!

2) Then, I usually use Biblehub precisely because of the combination of English/Ancient Greek or Ancient Hebrew interlinear version and dictionary (sorry if it's too technical). The best example I can give is the case of Paul's conversion. According to the book of Acts written by Luke, we have one view of things, according to the letter to the Galatians written by Paul, we have another view of things. Then there is a translation that adds an adverbial of time for Acts to indicate the simultaneity of actions, an idea that is not present in Paul's letter (there is the same error in the text of the interlinear version). Now, when we look at the interlinear version of Biblehub English / Ancient Greek, we can see that there is no adverbial tense in the original text. This is possible thanks to the presence of the dictionary combined with the linear version, which makes this tool exceptional despite the translation errors. Another example is Revelation 22:14. There are 12 translations in 12 different languages, 8 give the correct translation (those who wash their robes) and 4 give an incorrect translation (those who keep his commandments or other)!

3) All advice/tips are welcome. But you have to analyze them first!

4) Constructive discussion is never useless!

5) I don't have a perfect short-term memory!

6) I understand the problem perfectly (I have the entire text in front of me)!

7) The reason I'm doing this is because I have 12 pages in 12 different languages. I'm publishing them in turn on all 12 pages, the order in which the languages appear being linked to the number of visits to each page!

8) To account for the difficulty, I'm going to add a step: I'll continue as usual and finally publish the whole thing. This way, everyone can view the information, either partially or completely!

9) I'll also add the full verse in English!

- Now we can come back to Revelation chapter 20 to see a big difference between the two groups!

- First, the devil is put to prison for a thousand years meaning he won’t deceive the nations during this time (verses 2 and 3)!

2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

Revelation 20:2

He seized the dragon, the ancient serpent who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.
