OBJECTION: It doesn't make sense that a loving God would torment people in a
fiery prison forever and ever.

REPLY: I fully agree that it makes no sense at all. But then human intelligence is
produced by a 3-pound lump of flabby organic tissue; and not even all three of
those pounds are devoted to cognitive processes. On top of that, those three
pounds are 60% fat. That fatty, flabby, organic tissue can alter one's personality
with little more than an aneurysm or a blow to the head.

Just how bright can a fatty, flabby, organic intelligence really be compared to the
IQ of a supernatural being with enough intelligence to invent, design, and construct
a fully functioning cosmos with all of its forms of life, matter, and energy? A fatty,
flabby, organic intelligence isn't even a dunce in comparison: it's the IQ of a
termite; if even that.

1Cor 3:20 . .The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are empty.

Well; that's certainly not a very flattering evaluation. It's as much as saying that, in
God's opinion, the smartest among humanity basically consists of air heads; and if
that's His evaluation of the best and brightest, then where might God be ranking
the average John Doe and Jane Que pew warmer?

2Thss 2:11-12 . . God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe
the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had
pleasure in unrighteousness.

In other words: there's coming a time when God's patience will reach its reasonable
limits, and He will purposely, willfully, and deliberately make sure that a certain
category of people have no chance whatsoever to be spared the wrath of God.

Back when Noah was preparing the ark, no doubt his neighbors all mocked and
poked fun at him as if he were a deranged soul going around with a sandwich board
that reads: Repent; The End Is Near! But when the rain started, I bet those very
same neighbors panicked and tried to get Noah to open up and let them in. But
even had Noah wanted to; he couldn't. The hatch of the ark was sealed from the
outside: and God was the only one on earth who could open it-- He chose not to.

Rev 1:18 . . I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive
forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.

Rev 3:7 . .These are the words of him who is holy and true: who holds the key of
David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.

FAQ: Doesn't the Bible say that God's mercy endures forever, e.g. Ps 100:5,
Ps 106:1, Ps 107:1, and Ps 118:1, et al?

REPLY: God's mercy is very durable; but His good sense knows when to say
"when". Examples of that are the people swept away by the hand of God in the
Flood, and those burned to death by the hand of God in Sodom and Gomorrah; and
the firstborn of man and beast slain by the hand of God on Passover night in Egypt.

It's possible to push God too far. For example:

Hos 4:17 . . Ephraim is joined to idols; let him alone.

In other words: God instructed the prophet Hosea not to bother preaching in
Ephraim because He was fed up with them.

Down at the end of all with which we are familiar, the announcement below will be
made.

Rev 22:11 . . Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the
righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy.

In other words: the people to whom those words pertain, will be stuck with who
and what they are with no chance of ever being any different. That's good news for
the righteous and/or holy, whereas really bad news for folks who end up on the
wrong side of things. The ones in Hell will be forever unfit for anyplace else.

FAQ: What is meant by soul?

REPLY: Soul began appearing in the Bible in the book of Genesis by the Hebrew
word nephesh (neh'-fesh) which isn't unique to human life. Its first appearance is at
Gen 1:20-21 in reference to aqua creatures and winged creatures; again at Gen
1:24 as terra creatures; viz: cattle, creepy crawlies, and wild beasts; and again in
Gen 2:7 as the human creature; and yet again at Gen 9:10 to classify every
creature aboard Noah's ark.

God has a soul too. (Lev 26:11, Lev 26:30, Judg 10:16, Isa 42:1, Jer 32:41, Zech
11:8)

Soul is somewhat ambiguous but basically refers to consciousness, self awareness,
and individuality. It's sometimes a reference to one's heart, e.g. Gen 34:3, and to
the core of one's being, e.g. Gen 27:4. All in all, soul is just another way of
referring to that part of sentient life that we call "self" which can be roughly defined
as the element of our existence that makes us unique individuals.

The human soul is sturdy, but not indestructible. It can be rubbed out, and
apparently a number of souls are on track for exactly that.

Matt 10:28 . . Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul;
but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell.

FAQ: If people are already a corpse when they pass away, then how is it their body
dies in Hell?

REPLY: The current afterlife has no effect upon the human body because for now
when people pass away, their bodies stay here rather than going there. But out
ahead in the future; the bodies of people down below will be restored to life when
called up to face justice at the Great White Throne event depicted by Rev 20:11-15.
Should the judgment go against them, their restored bodies will be terminated yet
once again by a mode of death akin to a foundry worker falling into a kettle of molten
iron. And lest we forget: their soul will be terminated too so it's possible people
will exist in the lake of fire as vegetables, so to speak.

Everybody unified with Christ will be in the rapture, nobody among his own are
going to miss it.

Those still alive at the time won't be taken up as early birds. No, the living will
have to wait till the deceased are restored to life first and then all together take
the elevator in unison, i.e. at the same time-- none will go ahead and none will fall
behind.

Just about everybody in the modern world knows there's such a thing as the rapture,
but does everybody in the modern world know why there's a rapture at all? Well, it's
basically an evacuation.

For example Rev 16:17-18 predicts a global earthquake so powerful on the Richter
scale that cities all over the world will collapse at once.

Something like 2,829 lost their lives when the World Trade Center was demolished
by a terrorist attack in 2001. Well that was only a few acres of New York City. Just
imagine the body count when all of Manhattan comes down at once. along with
other major cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, Mexico City, Paris, Moscow,
Beijing, Tokyo, et al. The carnage will be beyond belief; and that's just one of the
many life-threatening events set to take place.

FAQ: Why do so many conventional Christians insist it is necessary to believe Jesus'
crucified dead body was restored to life?

REPLY: None of the Old Testament sacrifices were restored to life. Their bodies all
remained deceased: some of them were even used for food, and the remains of
others were incinerated outside the camp. So it's logical to expect that Jesus' body
would remain deceased.

However; every resurrection recorded in the Bible-- both the new testament and
the old --restored people's dead human body to life. But there is another matter of
far greater consequence to consider.

Rom 4:25 . . He was delivered over to death for our sins, and was raised to life
for our justification.

The first half of that verse speaks of Isa 53:6 which reads like this:

"We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and
The Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all."

But although Jesus' crucifixion satisfies justice for people's iniquity, the people
remain guilty; similar to when speeders pay a fine for going too fast. Their payment
satisfies justice for speeding, but the broken law stays on the books. In other
words: a paid fine clears no one of the crime.

The second half of Rom 4:25 speaks of justification-- translated from the Greek
word dikaíoosin which basically pertains to acquittal: defined as an adjudication of
innocence due to a lack of sufficient evidence to convict.

In other words: Jesus' crucified dead body had to be restored to life to make it
possible for sinners to be granted exoneration. Were Jesus' body to remain
deceased, nobody would get past the books spoken of by Rev 20:11-15 where the
losers will be subjected to a mode of death akin to a foundry worker falling into a
kettle of molten iron.

* Were I the Devil, I would make it my mission in life to invalidate Christ's physical
resurrection because by means of its acceptance sinners have the opportunity to be
cleared of all wrong-doing from first to last. Failure to believe his crucified dead
body was restored to life will result in people's loss of the one God-given
opportunity to wipe the books; and thus they'll remain on a direct path to the
wrong side of things even though their iniquity was forgiven by means of Christ's
crucifixion.

1Cor 15:17 . . If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in
your sins.

Here's a question that not even God can answer.

Heb 2:1-3 . .We must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we
drift away from it. For if the word spoken through angels proved unalterable, and
every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense, how shall we
escape if we neglect so great a salvation?

The Greek word translated "neglect" basically means to ignore, disregard, set aside,
to make light of, viz: assign a low priority.

I watched an interesting lecture on YouTube recently during which the speaker
asked, in so many words: What do a great number of folks in Hell have in common
other than their circumstances? The answer given was stupidity, and I think I have
to agree.

Jesus told a parable about some folks who were adequately catechized but let day
to day concerns distract them from taking action on the information they were
given. In other words they procrastinated; probably intending to getting around
some day to thinking about their afterlife prospects.

He told another parable wherein a number of folks invited to a wedding found a
variety of excuses not to attend. The host was wroth and banned the original
guests so that even if they changed their minds about attending, they would not be
allowed.

Well; I think the Bible is telling us that Heaven has little patience with things like
neglect, indifference, and procrastination. It says, in so many words: If you hear
the message, don't delay to respond because now is your time, today is your
opportunity for salvation.

The message, it its basic form, is very simple.

Heb 2:9 . .We see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the
suffering of death, that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

Isa 53:6 . . All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his
own way; and The Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

The only thing those dummies in Hell had to do to avoid that awful place was RSVP
God with a simple prayer in their own words that goes like this:

"Lord, I know I'm a sinner. I would like to take advantage of your son's death."

Those sixteen words would've made a tremendous difference in their afterlife
situation but no, they let the opportunity to make peace with God slip thru their
fingers.

Heb 12:25-26 . . See to it that you do not refuse Him who speaks. If they did not
escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we,
if we turn away from Him who warns us from heaven?
