America in Crisis

Every Day Is Precious

For if you forgive people their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
MATTHEW 6:14

I have learned that any day I spend angry and offended is a wasted day. Life is too short and too precious to waste any of it. The older people get, the more they usually realize that, but I am sad to say that some people never learn it. The society we live in today is filled with angry, easily offended people who are stressed out and tired most of the time. But Jesus teaches us a better way to live.

I want to encourage you to make the most out of today—and every day—because life is a precious gift from God. Every day is filled with wonderful promise and possibility. Enjoy this day! Don’t waste it being angry or offended.

We can choose to live according to God’s Word rather than to live the world’s way, or to give in to fleshly thoughts or emotions. A wise person refuses to live with hurt feelings or offense in his heart. Life is too short to waste one day being angry, bitter, and resentful. The good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is that our sins are forgiven, and I believe we have been given the ability to forgive those who sin against us. Anything God has given us, such as forgiveness and mercy, He expects us to extend to others. If it comes to us, it should flow through us—and that should be our goal.

When we are offended, we need to quickly call to mind the fact that God has freely and fully forgiven us, so we should freely and fully forgive others.

Trust in Him Is there an offense you have been holding on to? If so, trust it to God—turn it over to Him—and forgive. Don’t waste another minute that you could be enjoying life.

Postmodernism is characteristic both of fascism and communism – the far right and far left.
If you are implying that fascism is far right, then you are grossly mistaken. Communism, fascism, nazism, socialism, and progressivism are all leftist philosophies. They all belong to the broad category of statism and stand at the opposite end of the spectrum from capitalism. The significant difference between them, between the left and the right, is that in statism, the individual, the citizen, stands in subjugation to the state. In capitalism the state, the government, stands in subjugation to the individual, the citizen. For what it is worth, I believe that statism stands in opposition to Christianity and to the Constitution of the United States of America. Today's democratic party is recognizably progressive/socialist and stands in direct opposition to the United States.

Just look at the claims of modern science, especially those of atheistic evolution, society and academia have marginalized Christian truth claims as being just opinions. They are seen as nonscientific and therefore not on the same par as scientific claims.

Take the big bang theory.

I would caution everyone to treat any scientific analysis by answersingenesis with a great deal of doubt and distrust.

Postmodernism questions our ability to know objective truth. This attitude threatens to completely devalue our historic stance on having objective truth based on God’s unchanging character and His revelation in the Bible.

And the fact that as Christians we have the Holy Spirit. The statement that the Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth is found in John 16:13, where Jesus tells his disciples: “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.”

Postmodernism, in denying the existence of objective truth, denies the very existence of God of the Bible.

They are hung up on the age of earth and the proper way to interpret the first eleven chapters of Genesis. There are different views concerning Genesis, of course. Some approaches are totally unbiblical; some are better than others. The stance taken by Answers in Genesis is known as young earth creationism (YEC). There is nothing at all wrong with that approach—in fact, it’s the official position of Got Questions Ministries, too. What can be a problem is the way Answers in Genesis weaves that teaching into everything they discuss, and the almost political way they divide others over it.

Not what I'm implying at all. But there are Right-Wing Progressives.

I think there is a great deal wrong with YEC.
