Well, now that DOGE is here, they're been proven guilty.'Wherefore by their fruits
ye shall know them.'
(Mat 7:20)
Hello @dwight92070,
No naivety I can assure you: but I prefer to give the benefit of the doubt; and believe that every man should be considered innocent until proven guilty - Democrat or Republican.
' ... In the mouth of two or three witnesses
shall every word be established.'
(2Cor 13:1b/Matt. 18:16)
Thank you
In Christ Jesus
Chris
a real modern day martyr who stood up for his faith in Christ in a hostile world. A disciple who counted the cost and served his Savior and Lord well. You will be persecuted for My names sake. If they hated Me they will hate you. Charlie was well aware of the cost of serving his Lord. And it can be said: well done thou good and faithful servant enter into the presence of the Lord.View attachment 2307
Today, our hearts are heavy. A voice for freedom has been taken from us far too soon.
He faced attacks, criticism, and false accusations—but he never wavered. He stood firm for truth, faith, and the values that define us.
In a world that often forgets courage and common sense, he dared to speak, to inspire, and to lead.
His spirit will live on in all who refuse to be silent.
We will support the fight for freedom and those brave enough to speak truth.
Charlie Kirk’s life was taken while he was doing exactly what God called him to do: boldly speaking Biblical TRUTHS. Whether you agreed with him or not doesn’t give anyone the right to take his life.
Is it just me or are things getting really insane out there? Today's headlines are like nothing I've ever seen, and it goes on day after day. sad but true.Is it just me or are things getting really insane out there? Today's headlines are like nothing I've ever seen, and it goes on day after day. Charlie Kirk is the latest.
Maranatha,"Come, Lord Jesus" is the concluding prayer of the New Testament, found in the final verse of the Book of Revelation (Revelation 22:20), in response to Christ's promise, "Surely I am coming soon". The phrase expresses our fervent desire for Christ's return, symbolizing faith that He will ultimately triumph over all evil and usher in a perfect kingdom, bringing an end to suffering.
The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those who speak it.”View attachment 2307

Yes being a religious christian activist, political activist who went around the world to our youth on college campus's it was definitely an assassination and he is a modern day martyr who died for his outspoken faith with all the issues facing our youth. He will now become a voice of the martyr's and influence the culture even more in his death. God will use this for His Glory. Well done thou good and faithful servant. Charlie Kirk will go down as an American hero.![]()
A La Carte: Charlie Kirk Special Edition
When articles about Kirk flooded my app this morning, I knew his death was proving to be especially noteworthy. For that reason, I thought it might be worth putting together this special edition of…www.challies.com
WORLD magazine approaches the story as news in Charlie Kirk, 31, dies from gunshot wound. They explain what happened while also explaining who Kirk is and what he was known for. (You may need to create a free account to access WORLD.) Christianity Today also provides a news story and, as they do so, offer quotes from a variety of believers. Their article, which may require you to create a free account, is titled simply Charlie Kirk Fatally Shot at TPUSA Event. The Wall Street Journal explains how the shooting and immediate aftermath unfolded. (This article should be unlocked for you.)
Albert Mohler dedicated today’s entire episode of The Briefing to Kirk’s death, calling it “a day that will shape a generation.” As part of his discussion he explains why he thinks this should be considered an assassination rather than simply a murder. You can watch it, listen to it, or read the transcript. Mohler also wrote “A Most Tragic Turning Point” for WORLD Opinions, in which he says, “Every generation has its own formative moments. … Yesterday is now one of those days, and for today’s young adults, and especially for young Christians, and even more specifically for Christian and conservative young men, it is a day that will also be seared into generational memory. The assassination of Charlie Kirk, right at the heart of a major American university, even as he sat under the banner, ‘Prove Me Wrong,’ is a generation shaping event.” (Also at WORLD: Charlie Kirk, RIP by Erick Erickson)

as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
No man that warreth entangleth himself
with the affairs of this life;
that he may please Him Who hath chosen him
to be a soldier.'

Hello @civic,
As an outsider (not from the USA), I thought this young man was a campaigner for President Trump, therefore a political activist. What is a religious christian activist? What Biblical authorisation does such a role have?
'But foolish and unlearned questions avoid,
knowing that they do gender strifes.
And the servant of the Lord must not strive;
but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves;
if God peradventure will give them repentance
to the acknowledging of the truth;
And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil,
who are taken captive by him at his will.'
(2Ti 2:23-26)
* This sounds the very opposite to 'activism', doesn't it?
In Christ Jesus

We all, like Charlie Kirk are called to boldly speak biblical TRUTHS. It is just that some do it much better than the rest of us.View attachment 2307

'It is the spirit that quickeneth;As a Christian citizen of the United States, I get the distinct sense that I am living in an increasingly post-Christian country. The majority of Americans no longer consider traditional Christian doctrines, for example, the doctrine of sin. Or traditional Christian ethics like biblical sexual morality to be conceivable in our modern world. Christians who do not abandon these beliefs are labeled intolerant and even hateful.
Given the fact that the United States is a democratic republic, the beliefs of the majority affect the lives of the minority socially, culturally, and politically. This reality makes it increasingly important for Christians to figure out the best way to voice their Christian convictions and enact Christian love in the public square. I use the phrase “public square” to refer to our public life—the places where we speak, act, debate, dialogue, and exchange ideas about the best ways to organize our communities, cities, states, and nation.
Certain people—such as politicians, lawyers, and journalists—find that their jobs are inherently oriented to the public square. However, those persons are not the only ones who have the opportunity to participate in the public square. Each of us can be actively involved in shaping public life. As Christians, the question that arises immediately concerns the relationship between our personal religious beliefs and our shared public life: Should we bring our Christianity with us to the public square or should we leave it home?
So what about the relationship between religious belief and public life, especially as it pertains to a country like ours. In the United States, and in many other democracies, Christians find themselves in conversations with citizens who hold very different opinions on the most important matters in public life. In this situation, we must figure out the most appropriate and compelling manner in which to set forth publicly our vision of the good life.
That's what Charlie was doing. Just like Jesus, Charlie spoke the truth.
All of the words that Jesus spoke were truth; as He told Pilate, He came into this world to “bear witness to the truth” John 18:37
What we believe to be true affects every decision we make, so knowing and responding to God’s truth is critical. The truth frees and empowers us to live a life that pleases the Lord. As Jesus said, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” . By studying the statements that Jesus strongly emphasized throughout the gospels, we will be encouraging ourselves in God’s certain truth in an uncertain world.
Essentially, Jesus was urging His followers to take note of the importance of understanding the truth that He was about to tell them. He could not say it any clearer or with any greater emphasis—He was speaking about a truth that was an absolute necessity.
Amen !We all, like Charlie Kirk are called to boldly speak biblical TRUTHS. It is just that some do it much better than the rest of us.
