The relationship between God and man in the Incarnation of Christ....

In theology we often reference this relationship as the "Hypostatic Union". However, not many people really care about learning the topic. It is complex and time consuming. The teachings gets into great detail that sometimes isn't necessary to understand.

As such, I would like to give examples of how this relationship existed in what Jesus said throughout His ministry. Jesus often spoke as a man in dealing with things relative to man. Jesus often spoke as God when the subject is relative to God and His Character. If you pay attention to the context, you will understand when. Jesus very clearly said that He wanted to tell his disciples more but they couldn't understand at that moment. Sometimes, we need to grow in understanding before we will accept many things from God. Yes. Jesus works within our unbelief. Thank you Jesus.....

Perfect example of this is found in a narrative that is often used by Unitarians to say Jesus isn't God.

Mar 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
Mar 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

In the context of these words, it is clear that it is not for man to know the exact time God will do such things. It was not for the Son to share that information. You find why in verse 33.....

Mar 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

If you knew the time, like most any man, you'd try to wait to the last minute to get anything done.....

As man it wasn't for any man to know. It wasn't that Jesus in Union with the Father didn't know. He did. In fact, Jesus knew the very hour that He would give His life.

Joh 12:23 And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.

It was time to share that information with his disciples.......

See how easy that was? Just pay attention to the narrative. You will find this happens throughout the Scriptures in the ministry of Jesus Christ.

I like the way the Pulpit says it below :

But of that day or that hour knoweth no one, not even the angels in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. He who from all eternity has decreed the time when this day is to come, is pleased to hide it in the hidden depths of his own counsels. But the eternal Son, and the Holy Spirit, both alike one with the Father, are of his counsels. They are not excluded from this knowledge; they, equally with the Father, know the day and the hour of the end, since they are of the same substance, power, and majesty. Why; then, does St. Mark here add, "neither the Son"? The answer is surely to be found in the great truth of the hypostatic union. The eternal Son, as God, by his omniscience, and as man, by knowledge imparted to him, knows perfectly the day and the hour of the future judgment. But Christ as man, and as the Messenger from God to men, did not so know it as to be able to reveal it to men. The ambassador, if he is asked concerning the secret counsels of his sovereign, may truly answer that he knows them not so as to communicate them to others. For as an ambassador he only communicates those things which are committed to him by his sovereign to deliver, and not those things which he is bidden to keep secret. Mark 13:32

Neither the Son - This text has always presented serious difficulties. It has been asked, If Jesus had a divine nature, how could he say that he knew not the day and hour of a future event? In reply, it has been said that the passage was missing, according to Ambrose, in some Greek manuscripts; but it is now found in all, and there can be little doubt that the passage is genuine. Others have said that the verb rendered "knoweth" means sometimes to "make" known or to reveal, and that the passage means, "that day and hour none makes known, neither the angels, nor the Son, but the Father." It is true that the word has sometimes that meaning, as in 1 Corinthians 2:2, but then it is natural to ask where has "the Father" made it known? In what place did he reveal it? After all, the passage has no more difficulty than that in Luke 2:52, where it is said that Jesus increased in wisdom and stature. He had a human nature. He grew as a man in knowledge. As a man his knowledge must be finite, for the faculties of the human soul are not infinite. As a man he often spoke, reasoned, inquired, felt, feared, read, learned, ate, drank, and walked. Why are not all these, which imply that he was a "man" - that, "as a man," he was not infinite - why are not these as difficult as the want of knowledge respecting the particular "time" of a future event, especially when that time must be made known by God, and when he chose that the man Christ Jesus should grow, and think, and speak "as a man?"

Good, not many understand the relationship between God and man. if 101G may, ONE WORD, "EXAMPLE", he the Lord Jesus is our example. and for this "Hypostatic Union", not saying that anyone is right or wrong, but how would this union relate to our relationship with God. as said, he God in flesh is our example. and in his example we're to be restored to full fellowship with God. and that means to LEARN of him who we have never seen. but now we have the perfect example in Christ Jesus. John says it best. 1 John 1:1 "That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;" 1 John 1:2 "(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)" 1 John 1:3 "That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ." 1 John 1:4 "And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full."

as 101G have been saying we always were God sons, but we died unto him because of sin.... BROKEN FELLOWSHIP. now restored.

and as said, the "Hypostatic Union", 101G just say what the bible states, "A DIVERSITY" of his own self. scripture, Revelation 22:16 "I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star."

'the keyword to this "Hypostatic Union" or as 101G say, "DIVERSIFIED ONENESS" ... OFFSPRING. and it's the Greek term,
G1085 γένος genos (ǰe'-nos) n.
kin.
{abstract or concrete, literal or figurative, individual or collective}
[from G1096]
KJV: born, country(-man), diversity, generation, kind(-red), nation, offspring, stock
Root(s): G1096

there it is...... diversity ..... the H 259ECHAD of his own self in Ordinal Designations of First and Last, beginning and end, alpha and omega, and here ROOT and OFFSPRING.

101G.
