The relationship between God and man in the Incarnation of Christ....
In theology we often reference this relationship as the "Hypostatic Union". However, not many people really care about learning the topic. It is complex and time consuming. The teachings gets into great detail that sometimes isn't necessary to understand.
As such, I would like to give examples of how this relationship existed in what Jesus said throughout His ministry. Jesus often spoke as a man in dealing with things relative to man. Jesus often spoke as God when the subject is relative to God and His Character. If you pay attention to the context, you will understand when. Jesus very clearly said that He wanted to tell his disciples more but they couldn't understand at that moment. Sometimes, we need to grow in understanding before we will accept many things from God. Yes. Jesus works within our unbelief. Thank you Jesus.....
Perfect example of this is found in a narrative that is often used by Unitarians to say Jesus isn't God.
Mar 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
Mar 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
In the context of these words, it is clear that it is not for man to know the exact time God will do such things. It was not for the Son to share that information. You find why in verse 33.....
Mar 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
If you knew the time, like most any man, you'd try to wait to the last minute to get anything done.....
As man it wasn't for any man to know. It wasn't that Jesus in Union with the Father didn't know. He did. In fact, Jesus knew the very hour that He would give His life.
Joh 12:23 And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
It was time to share that information with his disciples.......
See how easy that was? Just pay attention to the narrative. You will find this happens throughout the Scriptures in the ministry of Jesus Christ.
