The inspiration of the Apocryphal book, "The Wisdom of Solomon."

I've been studying this Apocryphal work.

Although I can find specific reasons to reject all the other Apocryphal books, there was just something very special about this intertestamental work. This was written in Greek in Alexandria somewhere in the first century BC but not much else is known about this mysterious book, which reads like an expansion of the book of Proverbs.

The things that really stood out to me:

1. Strong testament to the Person-hood of the Holy Spirit.
2. Confident belief in the immortality of the soul as rewarded or punished by God.
3. Strong emphasis of thanks and praise for God's OT faithfulness.
4. The most alluded to apocryphal book in the NT.

The one major objection of course would be purportedly being written by Solomon when it was not, and that is a serious consideration. However, on the other hand, it was customary of the time to write wisdom books under a pseudonym as a kind of honor to the person without really expecting the audience to believe it.

It's very interesting book at only 19 chapters and I recommend giving it a read.
