Special Flocks.

I have just read this one for the first time ever in my life.....

A unique historical nuance involves the Temple flocks. According to some Jewish traditions and the Mishnah, certain flocks destined for sacrifice at the Temple in Jerusalem were kept in the fields near Bethlehem year-round. If the shepherds in the Nativity story were tending these specific animals, they would have been in the fields regardless of the season.

Anyone think the Sheppard's were shepparding "Temple" flocks when they got the word from the angel about about the birth?

Could be this is appropriate as the Temple flocks were for sacrifice and so was Jesus?

Why... pro or con is welcome.
