San Lorenzo, Ecuador

God moves in mysterious ways far beyond what we can think or imagine.

Here is the latest update
Wow it's beautiful there. Right on the coast...I see you deep sea fishing and cooking some great meals.

Maybe one of these days. That’s my wife in the front of the video with my son in laws best friend that went down to visit

It remains on our Prayer Wall to have them move here to help serve this beautiful people group in love. Plus, a lot of English speaking Ex-Pats that @civic (Father-in-Law, mentor, aka "Pops") can witness to and disciple. So we pray...
"Pops" that should be @civic 's name here. I love it. One thing I always say about him is that he knows what he is talking about.

let me know if you have translation issues.
i'm a poor thing but latin american,
and fluent in spanish since birth. i once had to
translate legal documents for a pastor
with a mexico mission
and he was thankful

i admit that was decades ago. i don't attend
any church. i just attend to God
at home now. A one to one thing.

my preferred situation : )

Very thoughful, thank you and we'll definitely keep in mind!
it's not all that important and most likely not needed. though sometimes in a pinch some donated help saves effort. I work these days after retiring from academia running an IT/design dept. escaping woke academia in that process. mostly doing branding and data stuff so I do have skills. I once offered some help to an evangelical forum (...) but they were cold and of course cannot accept help from a non-evangelical. sigh. I admit their decision was for the best!

Hola forever family!

It's been just over a year that we moved from Nor Cal to San Lorenzo, Manta, Ecuador to answer a burden that God placed on our hearts to plant the 1st Non-Denominational evangelical church in this small fishing community. We aimed to take the first year to master the language and assimilate with the community, God had much more in store!

Our church's (Próximos Pasos) first services were in February, we've multiple decisions, four baptisms, and now two vocational callings being pursed by our two high-school graduating leaders (Eliana & Alejandro). They've been accepted into a fully Spanish and online university via Rio Grande Seminary, but still need financial partnering. 2026 requires much prayer as the laborers and resources are few, yet the ministry continues to grow. Join us in that Luke 10:2 prayer as we look for His guidance as to how, when, who, and where to further invest our time, talents, and treasures.

Blessings from our family to yours, we're avaialable for any questions and please feel free to share our ministry with whomever you feel led: www.EquippedWorld.org

Check out a years worth of videos and clips where we've taken a inter-generational approach to bridge seniors, parents, youth, children, local goverment and school officials to know about the hope and promises we have in Jesus.
